Stayed Jan 3, 2026This casita is definitely a treasure. An artist’s respite. I loved waking up to the bank of windows and the sweet garden outside. We were so lucky to be there when it snowed, so we got to experience it in its winter glory. Every amenity we needed was there, down to the pot, pan, spatula, olive oil, etc. The heated floors were a treat, as was the gas wood stove. Couldn’t be happier with the location and the hosts.

Stayed Jun 12, 2025This was a great little spot for our family (2 adults, 7yo). The hosts were incredibly communicative, kind, and helpful. We were so grateful for them. There is no central AC, rather a window unit in the bedroom - so we did struggle a little with temperature at times, but it was definitely manageable. Laundry was outside the unit, but convenient. Exit from the property was hairy at times due to no visibility as you enter road, and a mirror would be a nice addition - but no issues arose. Overall a lovely experience, in a very lovely shared property. Wonderful attention to detail, cozy and comfortable.

Stayed Apr 24, 2025We had perfect stay at Santa Fe’s “Hidden Gem.” The casita is comfortable, beautiful, quiet, and perfectly located, tucked away in a lovely garden. The living room’s tall windows and skylight let in light making it bright and welcoming when we arrived after a long travel day. A large antique quilt hung on the walls. Other visuals to enjoy: multiple tin, wood, ceramic local crafts, Spanish china cabinet, a Shaker rocker, great rustic dining table.Okay, what about the practicalities? The owners, Peg and Ken, left a clear, comprehensive binder of useful information about the casita, appliances, favorite restaurants, and sites. The queen bed felt exactly like our comfortable mattress at home with high quality blankets, duvet, sheets, pillows. The kitchen had THREE kinds of coffee appliances and coffee accoutrements, French press, Keurig, drip coffee maker, and grinder! Take your pick. We wound up eating takeaway meals from the supermarket—walking distance—a few times when we were too tired to go out to the restaurants at night. While we didn’t make any meals, we could have! The kitchen was totally equipped for cooking.Ergonomics were tip top. I appreciate when owners not only care about the look of things, but the feel and placement of things in the “right” locations. It was all so comfy and well thought out. P.S. We were only staying in Santa Fe, not its environs this time, so we didn’t rent a car or need one. We walked everywhere--Railyards, upper Canyon, downtown.

Stayed Oct 16, 2024Loved the Casita, had a great 4 day stay there. The only problem was the mattress, needs to be replaced, uncomfortable. Even with that, would stay in this adorable casita again.

Stayed Oct 4, 2024We had a wonderful 10-day stay at this charming one-bedroom apartment tucked away in a quiet Santa Fe neighborhood. The one-level layout with no steps made for easy access, and the high ceilings with plenty of natural light added to the welcoming atmosphere. The entrance felt safe and secure, and it was a short, pleasant walk to the plaza and Canyon Road. The bed was very comfortable, and while parking might be tight for a large vehicle, our Subaru Outback had no issues with access. Everything was just as described, making it the perfect spot for two people. We’d definitely stay here again!

Stayed Sep 25, 2024My wife and I greatly enjoyed our 3-night stay, just a short walk from the top of Canyon Road. Easy walking to galleries, coffee shops and good restaurants. The outdoor patio was especially nice with my morning coffee or evening adult beverage! We will certainly consider staying again on our next visit to the land of enchantment! Thanks Margaret for sharing this special place of yours!

Stayed Aug 16, 2024The property is in a nice location/neighborhood. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed sitting outside and watching the hummingbirds feed from the many flowers in the yard. The a/c unit in the bedroom was much appreciated as the weather was very warm. Altogether we had a very pleasant stay!

Stayed Jul 17, 2024Believe all the previous reviews for excellence. We will only add that the location ( a narrow, quiet street running next to one of the original irrigation channels), the classic architectural style of the casita complex, and the regular mornings sitting in our mini patio sipping coffee and watching the hummingbirds made for a relaxing stay.

Stayed Jul 6, 2024It's amazing how much a poor night's sleep can affect your enjoyment of a place. Unfortunately that's just what we experienced in this trip. At first we chalked it up to being stiff from the plane. Asked for extra pillows to try to buffer our joints a bit. Buy day 3 we were both so sore, we stripped the mattress to see what we were sleeping on. Turned out to be 24 year old spring mattress dated June 19, 2000 - took pictures as we couldn't believe it ourselves. We used the extra blankets as a pad and each took turns on the sofa for the rest of the week because it was in better than the bed. At this price you'd expect premium bedding, but at the very least a decent surface to sleep on. The owner did refund about the price of one night, but can't believe they were unaware of how old it is. Do yourself a favor and verify that they've installed a new one before you book this place. I've slept better camping. Such a shame because otherwise it's a nice place.
