Stayed Apr 19, 2024Enjoy the lovely Central Coast of CA by making your home base in Paso Robles but elevate this experience by staying in the idyllic English Cottage at Lilac Farm! This beautiful pristine 12 acres is home to so much charm and whimsy. A charming and thoughtful host, charming whimsical animals by way of hens and goats (and host dogs and kitty), beautifully tended grounds, flowers, vistas and various corners for socializing outside. It is all central to a lovely cottage that is well-appointed with all the special touches that make you feel right at home. Cozy living room space, super comfy beds, serene cozy English cottage decor, shelves of really thoughtful and fun books, a well-appointed kitchen not to mention the delicious breakfasts, wine and charcuterie board from the hosts. Take a sunset hike down the wide seasonal sandy river bed and notice the fossilized shells, say good morning and good evening to the goats and hens, enjoy a hosted bonfire and s'mores roast, and engage in delightful conversation with your hosts over a glass of wine. You will feel well-taken care of, more like a welcomed guest, with well-balanced attention and privacy from the host(s). This is truly a gem and we look forward to returning!

Stayed Sep 4, 2023I am not sure where to begin describing our incredibly stay at Gaye & Neil's English Farmhouse. My husband and I wanted to do some wine tasting in Paso and the location of the Farmhouse is close to plenty of wineries but feels incredibly secluded. The Farmhouse is beautifully appointment with thoughtful touches throughout. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking a beautiful meal or just enjoying a cup of coffee. There were plenty of wine glasses (a necessity that is often overlooked) as well as a large grill and outdoor prep area. The 3 bedrooms were spacious and well appointed. We slept in the downstairs room and the bed was SO comfortable with high quality linens and pillows. We were welcomed with a sweet treat and bottle of wine from our hosts, very nice touch! The most special parts of the stay was visiting the goats (Parsley, Sage, Rosemary & Thyme) who are very friendly and love getting a pet from visitors. We also spent time at Cluckingham Palace, the chicken coop that produces the eggs guests are offered upon departure, such a fun touch! The outdoor space was cozy with a fire pit, rocking chairs and even a tree swing to laze the evening away. We enjoyed our nights with a glass of wine looking at the stars. We had a chance to meet our hots, Neil & Gaye, who could not have been more lovely, warm or welcoming. They ensured we had everything we could possibly need or want and provided plenty of recommendations for meals & tastings while in Paso.
