Great communication, excellent location nicely stocked

Great fire pit. Had to sweep off deck and wipe down patio furniture. Bathtub and shower definitely needed an up grade.

It was a beautiful wooded area and perfect for a getaway

This place was a gem in the woods! The cottage was very lovely and cozy with very comfortable beds! The hosts were very helpful and welcoming - we had a wonderful stay and look forward to coming back!

The property was well-maintained, welcoming, and had everything we needed to enjoy our time. The host was wonderful, friendly, and responsive, making the entire experience seamless from start to finish. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend this home to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat. We look forward to coming back in the future!

We enjoyed our stay at this little cabin. It was cozy inside and out and close to restaurants, gas, shopping and exploring nature and parks nearby. The yard was private with all the trees around and a nice fire pit and chairs available. The kids thought the house was awesome and really loved the loft. It was nice to have the kitchen and dishes available for meals and fun finding the little things supplied for us around the place. Having the TV and internet was a nice bonus, too. Hosts friendly and easy to communicate with. All in all a good stay we would happily do again.

The cabin was a great place to sit back and relax. Loved having the bonfires. Great location to enjoy the area.

Beds and living room very comfortable. Could’ve used a little more TLC in the Cleaning department . host was very Cleaning and courteous and thoughtful of having bottled water in the refrigerator / Frosty mugs in the freezer and some sodas.

This was our second stay and it never disappoints. Hosts are great and they thought of everything. Kitchen is well-stocked and bathroom has any toiletries you could want. Location is great.

John was fantastic! We asked a few questions about the area and he was very helpful and responsive. The welcome note was a fun touch. Thank you!

Fantastic little cabin just 3 minutes to Boyne Highlands, you can even see it from the backyard! Bed was comfy, kitchen well stocked for cooking! Cozy fireplace to maximize the up north vibe!! John and Dianna are excellent hosts and easy to communicate with! Highly recommend--we will be back!

As seasoned vacation renters, we always come prepared. I pack the basics, keep my expectations low, and hope for the best. This incredible little gem, and its wonderful hosts, completely blew my face off with comfort, amenities, location, and treats ;)From the moment we walked in, it was clear these hosts pour genuine love into every single detail. There was a personalized welcome note waiting for us, a jar full of treats, cold drinks already in the fridge, Pop-Tarts... but the thoughtfulness just kept going. Every toiletry and personal care item you could possibly need was stocked. And I am not talking dollar store specials. I am talking fancy argan oil shampoo that I am honestly just too cheap to buy for myself at home.Everything in this space is just nice. Comfortable. Not broken. Not cheap. Well maintained and honestly, truly, looked after with love.I get so much joy out of having a little fire before bed to take the chill off, just staring into it while the best moments of the day with my family replay in my head, before dozing off on the most comfortable couch I have ever been on. It has a max comfort setting. Please do not make the rookie mistake of not using it.Oh, and I may have snuck a Pop-Tart before bed.No regrets.We will absolutely be back.

Wonderful hosts! Very welcoming; we greatly appreciated the bottled water and the sampling of sodas in the fridge. Easy to communicate with. This rustic, cozy cabin was perfect for our family's quick ski trip. We loved the comfortable seating and the kitchen was amply stocked. The location truly cannot be beat - walk to Teddy Griffins; gas station for snacks/provisions just down the road; and 4 minutes from Nubs Nob. Love staying in this little glen!

This was perfect for our family of 5! Our 3 boys absolutely loved the beds in the upstairs loft and thought it was so fun. The location was absolutely perfect. And the hosts were extremely accommodating and helped make the entire experience better than we could have asked for! We’ll 100% be booking again soon!

We loved our stay here. We came in after work in the dark. The hosts left the lights and heat on for us so we were not stumbling around. We also appreciated the personalized welcome note and various directions or helpful tips posted around the place. We will absolutely look to book this location again

Very welcoming and accommodating.

This cute little cabin was perfect for what we needed it for. We stayed over the New Year and they had a Christmas tree which was fun for the kids. We didn't use the kitchen other than to make coffee. They left notes with tips on how to use some things which was helpful. We basically slept and showered at the house. It was perfectly located between both ski resorts. John was great with communication!

Perfect for our needs!

We chose this location because my boys wanted to ski. It was great for being close to skiing. The cottage was nice and cozy, well stocked, and clean. The hosts were very friendly and easy to work with. The cottage was also pet friendly.

Super cute cabin, prime location

Definitely had pet friendly elements which were not used or needed by us since we didn't bring a pet along for our trip. The house was impressive and had a welcoming vibe. Cabin style/rustic quality which truly reiterated the overall theme that we enjoyed of feeling off the grid and able to be in-sync with the surrounding nature. We did NOT ski, but I'm sure this would've been a great location had that been the purpose for our trip. We instead came for a birthday retreat to the Tunnel of Trees. The consideration that was shown by our hosts was highly appreciated and felt as tho they pulled out all of the stops to insure that we were comfortable and cared for. Huge appreciation from me to you for the birthday inspired trinkets and adds that y'all provided. Rest assured that my lady was appreciative of your attention to detail as much as I was.

The location is great and we really enjoyed having our two small dogs with us. The place is tiny and it would be uncomfortable sharing the bathroom with anyone other than my spouse. The first floor bedroom has a very comfortable mattress. I slept well, despite being used to a King bed, this is a queen. The one negative was there was no hot water in the bathroom sink. The owners were super nice and very easy to check in and out.

The hosts were so friendly and communicated so well. They left us the sweetest note. It was an amazing stay!

What a fantastic comfy cozy space in the forest!

Very disappointed with condition of the property. We couldn't even enjoy a nice time outside as nothing had been cared for that we would use. Like chairs (fabric faded and extremely dirty, including leaves, dirt/sand and spider webs that were left for us to deal with before using. It was obvious a major storm had gone thru weeks/months prior to our stay. See photos.Listed as a cottage. Should have said Bob's cabin.We are far from being picky people and really didn't want to give a poor review. This is just honest.

What a wonderful, peaceful experience we had at this cottage. The owners were very accommodating and were there to help with anything we might need.

Thoughtful & comfortable touches

The cabin worked. It was enough to enjoy our stay in Petosky and Harbor Springs. The complaint I have is that the cabin wasn’t very clean. A broken screen on the back door being held together by duct tape. A bit of trash around the cabin and the weeds around the cabin we’re becoming over grown. Easy check in and check out. Owners left us nice instructions for the cabin.

John and Dianne are wonderful hosts. We ve returned for 4 years running. The cabin is simple and clean. Pet friendly which is why we return. Little things like -the mints and the Coffee / simple kitchen provisions well stocked. The little outer room lets us keep the bikes out of the weather. Close enough for a day over the bridge --and a simple drive to H. Springs or over to Petoskey. We LOVE the Petoskey Brewery and the North West Bike trail. Chances are very good we'll be back.

John is an excellent host and was very helpful. It is a convenient location for downtown Petoskey and the annual Blissfest Music Festival..

The cabin met our needs-a place to crash while we explored the area. Love the owners. They are friendly and remembered that we had rented another property of theirs 2/3 years ago. I thought that was pretty cool.

Even before we got there, the communication with the owners was amazing! Wonderful cabin in the woods. Maybe 10 minutes max from downtown Harbor Springs, 2 seconds to Boyne Highlands and via the back way super close to Alanson and of course Petoskey. For bicycle riding/or driving the Tunnel of Trees this couldn't have been a better place. We really appreciated being able to bring our babies (2 small dogs) with us. They LOVED it there too! Was very well equipped which was helpful as we prefer to make our own meals instead of going out all the time. Super cozy. If you're looking for peace and quiet in the woods, this is the place!!! Nice quiet location. Kind of dirty (found dried up pizza on one of the kitchen drawer's exterior), especially in the bathroom and it smelled of animals in the entire place. If you're good with that, it will do the trick. Otherwise, I would not recommend it.

Great stay. House had everything you needed and more

We really enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was immaculate, comfortable and very well equipped. Close drive to downtown but you feel you’re in the woods and away from it all. Would definitely stay again! Hosts communicated well and check in was easy.

We stayed for 3 weeks to enjoy northern Michigan snow sports. We enjoyed our time in this cute cottage with very responsive and helpful hosts.

This was a great place to stay for skiing at Nubs Nob and The Highlands. We loved the fireplace and reclining couch!

Great place. This was our second time staying here. You cannot beat the location and the up north feel of this cabin. Owner is very friendly and responsive. Will definitely stay here again.

We stayed at this cottage for a ski weekend with our two teens and two of their friends. It was absolutely perfect! The cottage is very comfortable and cozy and was a great place to relax after a long day of skiing. The loft area was great for the teens to sleep and watch a movie. We appreciated how well-stocked it was. Its location is perfect too, literally two minutes from the Nub’s parking lot. We hope to stay here again next winter!

This cabin was awesome! Great location. The owners give clear directions to find the place and on how things work in the house. The wood fire stove really made it cozy. It felt like a home away from home, being able to cook a dinner in that kitchen was a simple joy. And my Fiancée felt like a kid again when we could sleep up in the loft. We would absolutely book again!

Great family place to stay near ski hills! Host is very accommodating and has home amenities for cooking your own meals and snacks. Kids loved the loft space they had with TV to set up their gaming console. Looking forward to staying again in the future!

Our stay at John's cottage was perfect. He provided great directions, which was helpful as we arrived after dark. The beds were comfortable and my niece was loved the goodies that were left for us. The cottage was in a great area and near to our friend's house, which is who we were visiting. We will definitely stay again!

Enjoyed our time at this cottage. Very comfy, was the over all feel. The owners have done such a nice job making sure you'd have all that you need during your stay. Bonus little extra touch's made us laugh.... kind note waiting when we arrived, with chocolates and dog treats for our pet. Definitely would stay again.

Cute, cozy, rustic chalet nestled in the woods. Perfect location for trips to Harbor Springs, Tunnel of Trees, or Petoskey. The hosts thought of everything when stocking the cabin. The deck out back was perfect for relaxing in the sun. Owners were wonderful hosts

This cabin was perfect for a quick stay for some fall hiking and exploring around Northern Michigan. John and Dianna were very nice and did a great jog of making the cabin feel warm and welcoming.

The property was the perfect little get away spot, the accommodations were above and beyond, with everything we needed and more being available. Definitely would recommend this spot, and would like to come back again
