Originally, The Granary was a yellow-brick barn used to house grain. Today, it is beautifully renovated and restored holiday let at the centre of the owners' farm on the outskirts of Cheltenham, close to the village of Shurdington. To either side of the property is a wicker fence surrounding the private patio and courtyard.

The Granary is accessed via Sandy Pluck Lane, a half-mile long, country track, passing open land and neighbouring houses and farms. You will find yourself surrounded by farmland and open country with easy access to walks and beautiful scenery. Guests drive into an immaculately kept courtyard, with the owners' property to one side, The Granary ahead and its parking area to the right. Behind a tall wicker fence is a private garden with a patio, seating and BBQ.

Downstairs, The Granary has a fully equipped kitchen with a separate utility/cloakroom and a large dining-living room, featuring the original beams and fabulous wood burning stove, with a door leading out to the patio and garden. Upstairs are two bedrooms, one furnished with a king-size bed and the other with two 3ft single beds. The two bedrooms share a shower room with a large walk-in shower, toilet and wash basin.

The Granary is ideally located to explore the Central, South and North Cotswolds by car, with easy access to all the major routes and places of interest, including Cheltenham Racecourse (6 miles), Sudeley Castle/Winchcombe (12 miles), Cirencester (14 miles), Bourton-on-the-Water (19 miles), Bibury (20 miles), Stow-on-the-Wold (22 miles) and Burford (25 miles). If you prefer to arrive by train and explore the area on foot or by bike, Cheltenham Spa or Gloucester train stations are just 5 miles from the property. In addition, up to two large stables can be hired, giving guests the opportunity to bring their own horses and explore the beautiful Cotswolds on horseback.

At the entrance to the room is a big, square, re-cycled pine table that comfortably seats four guests. At the far end is the cosy sitting area furnished with two beautiful, velvet sofas, an extra-large Smart TV, an antique coffee table and occasional table and a bookcase with a selection of reading books to enjoy during your stay. A stable door leads out from the dining area to the patio and garden where there is a bistro-style table and chairs and BBQ (charcoal).
First Floor
Carpeted stairs with a bannister lead up from the entrance to the dining area to the two bedrooms and family shower room:

The bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed, bedside chests of drawers and reading lamps, a wall-mounted TV (Freeview), a full-length mirror and a triple, fitted wardrobe with hanging space and shelves. A pretty, antique table and two chairs provides a lovely place to sit and read or work.

Bedroom Two:
The pretty second bedroom is a good-sized twin room with three windows (one is part of an original granary door) looking out over the courtyard and distant countryside. The bedroom is furnished with two full-size single beds set at opposite ends of the room and at a right angle to provide some privacy for each guest if it's needed. Each bed has a bedside table or shelf and a reading lamp. The bedroom has a full-length mirror, fitted wardrobe and a wall-mounted TV (Freeview). (The stable door is kept locked but can be opened in an emergency to access The Granary's outside steps down to the courtyard.)

Family Shower Room:
Conveniently located between the two bedrooms, the family shower room features a double walk-in shower, a hand basin with a mirror above, a toilet and a tall vanity unit with a full-length mirror.
Outside

The Granary has a private patio with a table and chairs and a BBQ (please bring your own charcoal). The garden wraps around the sides and rear of the property, with a door opening to it from the dining area, providing a lovely spot to enjoy an al fresco drink or meal. The Granary is surrounded by open countryside and farmland on the edge of the Cotswolds AONB, with easy access to walks on the owners' land (directions will be provided by the owners) and to public footpaths.

To the side of The Granary is easy-to-access parking for two cars, while across the yard is a barn with a warm water outside hose that guests are encouraged to use to wash off muddy boots and dogs.

This was the third stay that we have had over the Christmas period here. It is a great base for our family of four and two dogs. The house is well equipped and as usual we received a warm welcome from the owner who always checks to ensure we have everything we need.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Granary at Hunts Court. It was clean, comfortable and had everything that we could possibly need. The outdoor seating in the evening sunshine was an added bonus for enjoying a cup of tea after a busy day out. Stephen was most welcoming and helpful. The location was particularly peaceful, ensuring a good night's sleep. There was ample safe parking right outside the door. We hope to stay at The Granary again when we are in the area.

We were greeted by host Stephen on arrival who gave us a very warm welcome and outlined the facilities and local area. The cottage was very well presented and we felt at home straight away. We explored some of the 25 acres of land that belonged to the hosts and met the sheep and horses who were all very friendly. We used the cottage as a base to travel around the Cotswolds taking in all the beauty the area has to offer. Should we visit the area again we would have no hesitation to book here again.

Steven was so helpful with all matters and our welcome was felt before we got there. The house is perfect for a family get together with plenty space and excellent utilities. The kitchen and equipment is to a very high standard. Everything is there that you need. Lovely walks around the area around their lambs and horses was wonderful and we made use of their bbq as well. Will be back! Thank you!

My spouse, teenage son, and I enjoyed our visit. The Granary was spacious and comfortable. The kitchen had all the utensils and appliances we needed. Stephen was a kind and unintrusive host. We loved the quiet and proximity to sheep, lambs, horses, chickens and cats. We were surprised at how large the cottage was. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a calm, comfortable place to stay near Cheltenham.

Absolutely stunning property in a lovely, quiet rural setting. Just a short drive to Cheltenham or Gloucester. Unfortunately we stayed during Storm Bert so were unable to take advantage of the nearby walks, but are planning to return again in the summer. The owner could not be more welcoming. The fresh eggs from the farm hens were delicious.

The wood-burner wasn't very efficient at heating the room, hence 4 for comfort above. However the bed was the most comfortable in any cottage we have hired for years, the owners' fields made exercising the dogs the easiest it possibly could be, and the every 10 minute bus service into Cheltenham from the end of the lane was an absolute boon when we both needed to go in and out of town at different times during the day and evening.

We enjoyed our time in this cottage. All very comfortable and practical. The owner was very friendly and helpful with directions and tips. We enjoyed the quiet location. Chrltenham and Gloucester on the doorstep. The Farm Shop next door has excellent EV charging facilities as well as a nice shop of course. Catching the sun on the patio was very much enjoyed.

The cottage was excellently equipped. We had a lot of space. The owners were very nice and greeted us with eggs, milk and a bunch of flowers.
