Formerly the village shop, Glan y Don has been carefully converted into a cosy 3-bedroom cottage filled with plenty of character. Located on the seafront of Moelfre, one of Anglesey's prettiest villages. It is filled with light and makes the most of the sea and mountain views.
Ground Floor

Kitchen diner
A modern fitted kitchen with an electric oven and hob, full-height fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. The oak dining table has ample space for all guests.<br>
Sitting Room
In the main sitting room the double-height vaulted ceiling allows light to pour into the cottage.
At one end is a large fireplace with a log burner which is surrounded by comfortable sofas and armchairs. There is a split stable door that opens onto the seafront. There is also a staircase leading up to a mezzanine reading area and the third bedroom..

Bedroom 1
A large king size sleigh bed with sea views from both windows.

Bedroom 2
A twin room with sea views

Family Bathroom
A bath with shower over, sink and WC.

WC
Tucked under the staircase is a compact WC.
First Floor

Reading Area
A small seating area on the mezzanine level overlooking the living room.

Bedroom 3
A small double room with a velux window. To allow in more light, a bannister has been put in place meaning the room is open to the corridor but still very private.
Outside
A path at the rear of the house leads up to a small raised seating area with views over the top of the house to the sea and mountains beyond. There is parking for one small car, with additional parking in the public car park just across the road.
The Local Area
A stone's throw from The Kinmel Arms gastropub, Ann's Pantry restaurant/cafe and an ice cream parlour, dining out is a doddle when staying at Glan y Don. The cottage is just yards from the Anglesey coastal footpath, so bracing winter walks or summertime strolls are a must to enjoy this lovely stretch of Anglesey's east coast. A short drive from the house is the sandy beach at Lligwy, with its famous beachfront cafe. A little further afield is the historic town of Beaumaris with its mighty castle, boutique shops and wide array of cafes and restaurants

Moelfre beach is a little hidden paradise and what better way to enjoy it than in the comfort of Glan-y-Don. This is an excellent holiday home which is very well furnished, and has fantastic sea views. The contact and support from Oyster Holiday Cottages made all the difference, they were on hand to help with all queries and were very accommodating. A very happy customer

We took my 89 year old father for a short break and he loved it , as stairs are an issue downstairs bedroom and bathroom a must . He loved watching the world go by through the window . Furnishings a bit worn and tired ( cushions on sofas and table cloth in kitchen also kitchen pans and trays) . Plant pots outside would benefit from fresh plants and TLC just looked neglected for such a prime location on sea front as locals looked after village plants with care and pride . Bedding not the best but clean . Such a fabulous location and needed just more love.

Generally clean and tidy, bathroom needs some attention (mould around bath). Needs information for cooker and immersion heater, to be more readily available. Outdoor area would benefit from more seating and steps could do with handrail. This would not deter us from staying again

This property was everything we desired for our family break in Moelfre for my Mum's 90th birthday. She really had a lovely time just being in that cottage on the beachfront and reliving old memories of Moelfre. The position is perfect and so handy for Ann's Pantry, the friendly pub, the coastal path and the beach. We want to return every birthday now!

Thoroughly enjoyed our week from the first day to the last, The accommodation was very homely with plenty of room, and the Seaview from the property was was a bonus.
