Gite close to the Opal Coast and Bay of Somme, 6 people

The gîte was perfect for us with lots of room. What was particularly appreciated was that it was warm and cosy, despite the unexpectedly cold weather for late November. As another reviewer mentioned the wifi connection is 'dated' but for general email, Google searching, social media and news it's fine. The enclosed garden is perfect for an accompanying dog. Good restaurant and well stocked supermarket just 10 minutes walk away. Highly recommended.

The gite was spacious and clean, the owner who lived next door spoke good English and was pleasant and helpful. The only downside was the lack of a smart TV and Dated wi-fi that dropped out. This led to limited evening entertainment. Otherwise great.

This is a lovely place to relax with useful local (walkable) shops and well placed for trips out to the coast and villages. Immaculately presented, comfortably furnished, plenty of space and a very well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed plenty of eggs from the owner’s hens and some delicious home-made jam! Remember to book linens and towels if you need them and, despite the confusing information on VRBO, there is definitely free Wi-fi readily available. Highly recommended ?

A great Gite and a great base to explore the area. Very friendly welcome from Thibaut who gave us lots of ideas for trips out, especially L’Estaminet L’Andouiller which was tremendous. The home made jam and eggs was a lovely touch and much appreciated and the chickens and pony were good fun. Highly recommended.

We have stayed at this property a number of times and we cannot fault either the owners, who are friendly but never intrusive, or the property, whose location and facilities are precisely what we require from a holiday home. Another booking has already been made for 2024.

We had a lovely break, nice and relaxing, unfortunately the weather for the duration of our trip was awful ! Not that we can do a thing about it ! The gite was just right for us, the only issues we had was the wifi wasn’t great, highlighted by the poor weather meant it was under more strain ! And there was very few English tv channels, plenty of German or French, again this was only really noticed as the weather meant less time out and about. The area is fairly rich in history with some great places to visit, and the nausicaa aquarium isn’t far away and is a must see !

Have stayed at this property multiple times and have only positive comments to make. Facilities, location and contact with owners are hard to be improved upon. Next trip already booked.

Our time in Thibaut's place could not have been better. We spent two excellent weeks with our dog -- touring, relaxing, enjoying the quiet. Thibaut and his family are welcoming and very friendly. (thank you for the wonderful home made jams!) They live in the main house on the property, but we had complete freedom and solitude. The gite itself is very comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. And it all works. The kitchen has almost every utensil and gadget we could think of. There is a very nice fully enclosed garden, perfect for our dog. Parking is literally by our front door. The people in the town are friendly and welcoming, despite our baby steps in the French language. There are two excellent bakeries within a 5-7 minute walk, offering fresh croissants, bread, etc. A supermarket is also a 5-7 minute walk away. The beaches at Berck are under 30 minutes drive. In short, a fantastic stay and we hope to return next year!

Have visited several times and will be booking again. Beaches and towns within 30 minutes by cat plus a decent supermarket within a 5 minute walk. Property has all you could reasonably need including private, secure garden. Hosts are always friendly and helpful but never intrusive. 5 stars says it all.
