Frog Cottage Ventnor

Everything was really lovely! We had such an enjoyable time staying at Frog Cottage, would definitely recommend! :)

Bbq was great

Lovely secluded little cabin in a great spot close to a quiet beach and within short drive of amenities in Cowes. Great for a quiet getaway. Good quality bedding, towels etc.

Lovely cosy cottage. Comfort in beautiful natural surrounds. Loved all the bird life.

Great relaxing stay in this quiet and cozy cottage (with a very comfy bed). Nestled in a peaceful garden setting with lots of birds visiting. Conveniently located to explore the island or just chill. It is a short walk down the road to the beach and Cowes about 10-15 minute drive. There is great takeaway fish and chips from the Cowes General Store about 10 minute drive (not actually a general store - it just does takeaway) and it also does great burgers.

Loved it. Unusual that you had to walk outside from living room to bedroom. Gravel path from car park area to cottage poorly lit at night. Rooms very cosy and comfortable. We were concerned one night when the power went off for some time..could be a safety issue for us oldies ! Communication with host…excellent…she was most accommodating.

Convenient location for exploring Philip Island and seeing the Penguin Parade. The cottage was clean and the bed comfy.

I have to say we enjoyed our stay very much. Heaps of compliments. Nice little cottage with character, clean, neat, cosy and quiet place. Property is in good location to visit attractions on Phillip Island. Modern decor and well laid out cottage.Veranda one of the best spot for relaxing. All furniture in and out the property are new and …clean. Frog cottage ticks all the boxes. From the different birds around the property to the cozy accomodation, we had an awesome time!! We will come back for sure.

Lovely bush setting, very peaceful, private and relaxing. The bed was comfortable and plenty of bedding, towels etc which was great. 7 min walk to the beach! And a 2 min walk to the general store are both very convenient. I was also grateful for the WiFi. Heard some possums on the roof and the bird life is lovely too. You feel like you're in the birds world, which is lovely! It would be great if the kitchenette/ cleaning supplies were better equipped. This area would be my only complaint. There were no BBQ wipes or anything to clean BBQ with. I did have some wipes, so was able to clean the best I could. The microwave wasn't working.There were no sponges or dish cloths, so used 1 of the teatowels and dish soap to clean dishes. No dish rack to dry dishes, so I had to dry the bench quite a few times from the excess water. No bin liners, so used an empty plastic bag we had. A tissue box and paper towel would be ideal too. Otherwise a lovely stay. Overall, though, happy with the stay.

Clean, cute and in a great location! Only thing missing in terms of essentials was body soap, but we were happy with our stay otherwise.

Great little cottage lovely garden, comfortable bed. Only issue is the poor lighting..could do with a light over the kitchenette area

My daughter and I stayed 2 nights as part of a longer road trip and adored our time in the cottage. Great location and a gorgeous spot to rest and recharge

We were in dire need of complete down time and Frog Cottage was perfect for a whole lot of sitting and sleeping and gentle exercise and bird watching. The space was lovely and clean and it was only our fault that we didn't read about amenities properly so we took lots of food that wasn't suitable for bbqing or microwave. The internet was great but that was perfect for our mission of detaching and stepping off the world.

A nice, cosy and quiet place. Close to beaches and town. The cottage was clean and specious. Hidden in its little garden.

We enjoyed the location & cosiness of the cottage. It was like being in the country yet close to Cowes where the cafes, pubs, restaurants & shops were located. For feedback to the owners: the hot water system worked for the first night but on the second night as the water did not heat up. Hence we had somewhat cool showers. Otherwise, a great stay. Thank you.
