Free-Standing Cottages On North Shore Kauai! ~ 5 Minute Drive to Hanalei Bay ~

Extra fees tact on drove good rate up to make for high rate doubled the rate.. Units very spacious and was nice to have a hot tub

We had a great stay in Princeville at this property! Highly recommend.

Unacceptable! They advertised a unit on the golf course which I had stayed at before. However I was given the worst unit surrounded by parking lots. I specifically requested a quiet unit away from the street. Our anniversary exisited of having to listen to traffic, key fab car horns, maintenance workers bad music, office traffic, people drunk talking next to their cars while smoking all while breathing car exhaust from running cars through open windows that must be kept open becsuse there is NO A/C! It was so bad we had to use one of precious vacation days to find another hotel. Owner offered to reimburse only for the nights unused but they are passing on all VRBO fees and taxes costing way too much for this night of horror. Bottom line is it was NOT what was advertised and the owner did not check to confirm it would be the unit advertised. Beware!

We had a great time staying at the cottage - spacious, clean, and very conveniently located to the northern/eastern side of the island. Would highly recommend. Would be cautious with young children; we weren't able to find a high chair for our kid, and there were stairs that were a bit dangerous for a toddler - but otherwise, a great spot!

We enjoyed our satay at the Makai Club Cottages and would return if in the area in the future.

We stayed at this location because we didn't want to be in a large condo complex in Princeville. This cottage was perfect because it made us feel like we had our own place. We were on the edge of the golf course and it was incredibly quiet. Our unit was very spacious with two large bedrooms and a nice deck to have some outdoor living. The resort staff was super helpful with recommendations for our trip on Kauai and we loved going down to Hanalei every day. We're so glad we stayed here. I wish we could have stayed longer.

My stay on Kauai's north shore was wonderful and the Makai Club was definitely all I could have hoped for. The units were just as I had been told and you're just a few minutes away from the town of Hanalei. Princeville also has a convenient shopping area with restaurants and a supermarket. (Get the Maikai discount card from Foodland! It's free and you'll save a lot, especially on any alcohol you may purchase.) Joyce was very helpful and knowledgable with some of my questions before I arrived. She gave me some information about the area, some tips on how to get around the island and a few sights I needed to see. The transaction process was easy and all taken care of online. I would definitely stay at this resort and hope to use Joyce and Resort Stay if I make another trip to Kauai.
