Fishermen’s Paradise

We had a great time staying here while in the area wanting to see the Keys. It is exactly as listed. It was fun to sit out the back door in the morning and evening watching the birds and different fish. Fit my family of three comfortably but I do think amymore pople it would be a tight fit. The air conditioners keep it comfortable inside and there were bikes waiting for us when we got there.

We were disappointed in the air conditioning as it was very warm during the day in the main room. We were able to sleep ok during the evening but would recommend better A/C. Location was great and lots of amenities, there is a boat ramp and saltwater swimming pool/jacuzzi.

I'm not big into leaving long reviews ill just say for the price I give 5 stars I'd book again and would recommend to anyone.This place is all you need if your like my family and plan on spending time out doors fishing, snorkeling, paddle boarding and site seeing as we did. Also the community pool is a nice perk pretty nice pool. Also the owner is very nice and laid back.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay here. Venture Out is a really nice community with plenty of amenities. Our younger kids loved the pool and our oldest daughter had a great time swimming and snorkeling in the canal behind the unit and in the ocean. The location made trips to Key West and Marathon easy drives. We also loved the Square Grouper for supper and Morning Joint for coffee. We didn't feel as pleased with the rental property itself, though. It appears the pictures posted on VRBO were taken some time ago and the unit has gone downhill from a maintenance perspective since then. Just to name a few things: broken window in Florida room covered with plywood, evidence of water damage not fixed (bowed wainscoting, spongy feeling floors, drywall damage, lower cabinet doors damaged, etc.,) broken mini blinds in bedroom, no out door furniture out back by the canal as shown in the listing (one broken chair left upside down by the trailer and one chair sunk in the canal just left for dead,) shower curtain eyelets either torn through or about to be torn through. I'd also add that the beds had very uncomfortable mattresses. Between the days of poor sleep and the general unappealing nature of the unit, we actually decided to leave a day early and check in to a hotel. We didn't expect things to be perfect, as we tried to be budget conscious with our choice. Even with our expectations set accordingly, this stay disappointed.

This property is dated, hot, and not the cleanest. It was dark and depressing. The curtains had to stay closed the entire time to try and maintain coolness. The owner was made aware of issues and immediately moved us.The other property was great. The owner saved the day and our vacation by allowing us to move to other property.

The stay was awesome, had everything we needed.

Overall a nice stay. Check in and check out was very easy. House was clean. The 3 AC units did struggle to keep the house cool. It got down right hot. We are from Florida so we know Florida heat is no joke. May want to see about getting another ac unit to help with the heat the ones here worked great just couldn't keep up during the hottest parts of the day. We went and bought a box fan to help some but still was very hot. Other then that was a nice little house to stay in and was perfect for what we needed! We stayed here with our 2 small children no issues. A child lock on the sliders would be nice piece of mind for other families with smaller children too! Kids loved fishing off the back of the house! So nice to have your boat right in tbe backyard.

Overall this is a clean home in a safe community. When checking in we noticed the power was out to one of the rooms. The host was very responsive and diligent on getting things fixed, though it took 2 electricians over 2 days to finally get power back to the room the host was responsive the whole time and compensated us adequately for the inconvenience. If renting this home as a group know that you have to walk through the only bathroom to get to the main bedroom and can be a little inconvenient. I would absolutely recommend this rental and 1000% recommend this host.

This property was exactly what we were hoping for, a no-frills but very comfortable spot by the water in what is a really amazing resort community. Venture Out is a gem with great people, great facilities, and everything you could ask for for a week in the keys. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful experience,beds very hard and noisy. But overall excellent choice
