The house is so cute and cozy. Anything you need or forgot is available - the yard is perfect for our little dogs and it was close to the beach. We will definitely want to stay here again!!

Beach Bound Cottage, hosted by Emma was a pure delight. The cottage was as advertised with so many special touches such as 4 different sitting areas outside, a totally fenced in area super clean for fur family members, a swing set if you travel with little ones and a hammock right next to the swing set. Emma pretty much has everything covered for you. She has all kinds of brochures on things to do, places to eat, and the place is stocked with every sort of reading material you could want from magazines to books as well as DVDs for any rainy day that might slow you down to stay inside. The walk to the beach is very easy probably a half a city block on a hard surface road with a narrow wooden boardwalk that leads you directly onto the beach. We stayed for a week and were on the beach 2 full days and probably saw a total of about 3 sets of families so when you get to the beach the walk is worth it because there are so few people on this stretch of the beach. Emma checked in on us after the first night and again at the end of our week as we locked up and left Beach Bound Cottage. You truly don't need to bring anything except your clothes and perhaps any personal items. Everything you might need for the beach is in storage and I do mean everything from beach toys, chairs, wagon to load the stuff, games and inside the hour there is a whole supply of anything and everything for dogs. Emma is the best host, thoughtful, caring and kind. You won't be disappointed choosing Beach Bound!!

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Emma & her rental. It’s not only pet friendly but pet centered with anything you may need for your fur baby. We have crate trained pups so we brought our own but otherwise had everything we needed. To be a pet friendly space, it was very clean. Emma was a gracious host and checked in a couple times to make sure we had all that we needed to enjoy our stay. Would definitely return! Thanks again! -The Chaves Family

This home is fantastic! So much outdoor areas to hang out, stocked with whatever you could need. So many amenities for kids- toys, sound machines, and books. As a mom of 2 young ones this was such a wonderful thing. The yard is great for the dogs! We stayed in the off season and look forward to returning in the “on” season. The communication was Top tier of any rental we have stayed in. HIGHLY recommend!

House was immaculate and perfect for our small family and two dogs. The fenced yard was a nice touch for the doggos and the swing set was great for our 3 year old grandson. We would like to stay again sometime, as it was too cold to fully enjoy the outdoor amenities at the house.

The owner is a very respectful person and you can tell that she loves her dog. She takes care of everybody that comes through the front door no matter if they have four legs or two legs lol it is pet friendly to the max and the kitchen is basically fully stocked to what you need is very beautiful and very relaxing and peace .

This house is a vacation gem and the host is AMAZING! Kind, accommodating and caring! We’ll be back as much as possible!

Clean, quiet, quick walk to the beach access, dog friendly, fenced in yard and gates on the porch for your pets safety

Small but charming, comfortable, well-appointed and tastefully decorated. We all enjoyed it and would love to go back. Kids loved the swings, hammock and bikes, and pup loved the fenced in yard and gated porch.

10/10 EXCELLENT!We had a great time vacationing at Emerald Isle! We couldn’t have found a better, dog friendly, convenient, and comfortable place to spend our week than Em’s Beach Bound! Our two small fur babies loved the covered front porch and fenced-in yard. We loved that everything that we needed and more was furnished. From really nice bicycles for the whole family and beach gear to kites to fly on the beach. Linens, towels, cooking equipment, nice gas grill, lots of relaxing outdoor areas to savor….everything! We enjoyed feeding the birds, swinging on the swing set, and lounging in the hammock on the hillside. And, the DVD collection was amazing! I wish we could have stayed another week. Thanks Em! We’ll be back!

This is our third time staying at Beach Bound and it has become a home away from home. Our yellow lab and golden retriever agree. We love how close it is the beach, shopping, and restaurants. There have been several great upgrades over the years and I appreciate how well stocked it is. It’s always super clean as well- you would never know it was pet friendly. We enjoy going to Rucker John’s, the aquarium, and Beaufort Parasailing. Mini golf is in walking distance and always fun. We made many great memories on this trip and wish we didn’t have to leave.

This was a great place for our family of 4 plus two dogs. Large fenced in area and a very short and easy walk onto the beach!

This is a great place to stay and make memories!! The location is very close to the beach and all the stores on a quiet street with privacy. There are so many places to relax and enjoy the property. Very pretty friendly. Definitely will stay here again!!

We have stayed so many years on OBX of NC. This area is wonderful. So laid back, great restaurants, this house could not have been better. We both are 72 years of and have a white golden retriever who is 9. She goes on all vacations. This house was perfect. Very few steps, a great porch, a lighted yard with shade and fenced in. She loved it. Inside the house had everything and the owner checked on us several times. Never have had anyone be so kind. Can hardly wait to book again. This was a 10 week - and I loved all the magazines ! Thank you again

The house was perfect inside and outside. The kitchen was well equipped just like being at home. Our dog enjoyed the fenced in yard and there were plenty of places to sit outside. The house was very clean and it easily accommodated 4 adults and our dog. We will definitely return again.

Perfect home for family beach vacation. Very pet friendly with the setup. Couldn't ask for a better location in Emerald Isle. We will look nowhere else, for future vacations at Emerald Isle.

Nice property - had everything we needed and then some - very close to stores and restaurants in a decent residential neighborhood - dog loved walking the neighborhood and there were several ways to go, so we chose a different direction every day - Close to beach access area, but this house has a private yard and the area was very peaceful when we were there. This is a great place if you're looking for a relaxing beach vacation.

Our family of 4 humans 2 doggies had another wonderful week at Beach Bound. This is our second time staying here and we will be back again! The house is great, so many things are provided - toiletries, all linens (including beach towels!), paper towels, toilet paper, all soaps, etc. Very comfy beds. It’s super dog friendly and has a great fenced in yard and porch. The dogs loved hanging outside listening to the birds and watching the cats across the street. I think our favorite thing was the outside shower! Easy walk to the beach (just down the road) and she provides carts, chairs, umbrellas, and toys. The beach was not crowded at all for being spring break. The internet was a bit spotty for us (esp if we were all on devices) but we made it work. Thanks Mary for sharing your house with us. We can’t wait to come back!

Property was exactly as listed. Well stocked, homey and comfortable. Outdoor living space is top notch. Our host was always quick to respond. Highly recommend this rental!

Great little place! Bedding and towels were lovely! Great space for dogs - gates on front deck and fenced front yard.

The Mission: We live in Asheville, NC and after Hurricane Helen & months of no water, then no potable water, no power/cable so needed down time. Decided to celebrate our 54th Anniversary at Mary Em's property & invited an RN buddy and my sister too for a week at the beach. This is why we could not leave.Good: Property dog friendly, fenced, proximal to beach. Best described: renovated, older home/needs updating. Nice outdoor spaces Spring/Sum. The Bad: There are 2 bathrooms-BUT the BR for the Master is also accessible by the main hallway where the bedrooms are positioned. It is NOT dedicated Master bath. 2nd Bathroom at the other end of house behind the kitchen area. MBR has a comfortable King bed. Room really does not have the space to accommodate that size bed. 2 very small night tables on both sides of the bed. Entering bathroom on the left side of the bed without hitting the nightstand is impossible. BR has older tub/shower combination/ the water pressure is fine. The bathroom vanity is both small and pretty banged up. Hooks behind the door for hanging towels/clothing. The LR enjoys nice seating and great natural light. Blinds in place for evening privacy. Siri device in LR.The kitchen: Refrig duck taped door by ice/water dispenser, NO DISHWASHER. THE BAD: If you are not a fan of ROACHES-THINK AGAIN. Pest man sent by Mary. She believes new problem but lg. numbers say no. Offers 2N comp for this stress laden stay. NO WAY-but thanks all the same.

This is a great house and location - close to everything!! My family loved it! Will definitely stay here in the future.

well equipped, clean and comfortable

This home is amazing! Perfect getaway for a small family or a few friends. If you have dogs or small kids, book this place! The fenced yard took the stress off. The home is located in a great spot. 1-2 blocks away from the beach, Fish Hut, 77 West, & other restaurants and a short drive to grocery store & other shops. House is clean. Couches & beds are Comfy. Love the outside sitting area. It’s the perfect spot. I’ll be back for sure.

We had a great long weekend and we’re so happy we could bring our dogs with us. The house was perfect and the owner couldn’t be more accommodating to us. I can’t wait to come back.
