This is a fantastic choice if you are looking for a peaceful retreat with a fabulous view! We stayed a full week and had a wonderful and relaxing time in spite of a bad storm that brought two days of wind and rain. Our hosts, Patrick and Angel, thought of everything! I am someone who likes to pack to be prepared for everything and I could have just packed my clothes and been done (well, don’t forget your toothbrush, lol)! Everything you think you might need is already there! We had games, puzzles, toiletries, a well stocked coffee/tea bar, a water cooler, outdoor amenities, and so much more! This was a much needed break and I am glad we chose this property!

This was a fabulous home and location. Short walk straight to beach. All the amenities you could dream of having. No need to pack chairs or towels. Just bring yourself and enjoy the sun and surf!!!

Agree that this is a tranquil beachfront retreat! Great alternative to busy/crowded tourist beaches nearby. Our family of 5 (including teenagers) ALL agreed that we want to come back next year.

The house was beautiful, clean, and equipped with everything we needed for a fabulous vacation. I wish our schedules would have allowed us to stay longer. This is the perfect place to be right on the beach in a private setting and close enough to drive to the boardwalk and more touristy areas. Perfect!

This place is fantastic and the hosts are great! Check-in and out was smooth and easy. There is not much better than being able to walk out of your house and walk straight to the beach. We enjoyed the water and sand; it was great for our kids to play in. Plus, seeing the Horseshoe Crabs was really interesting for them. The house is close enough to grocery stores, nature centers, minigolf, and really anything you could want! We made a day trip to Rehoboth Beach too and it was a very easy drive. This place was perfect for us.

Great location, fantastic views! It was wonderful to have a spring break with family, including grandparents and bonus was that we were allowed to bring our precious dog Shelby ..Patrick was very accommodating and the neighbors were lovely

Great property with a wonderful atmosphere. This place is so cool, you walk out and the beach is right there for your full enjoyment, walking, kayaking, seating by the water or the several seating areas in front of the house that are shaded by pine trees. The layout of the house was so convenient for us also, and everything we needed was on the main floor. Coffee and tea bar was great. Sunrises were amazing! We were lucky to have perfect weather during our stay, sunny and warm, but we would have also enjoyed if the weather had been less than perfect with all the amenities that are available. Our anniversary celebration was perfect!

This house was adorable and nicely furnished. We spent lots of time on the lovely enclosed porch outback. The area outback was perfect. Patrick was an amazing host. This house is a winner if you like the cottage feel and a tranquil environment.

So many thoughtful details in this peaceful waterside cottage. Charming yet modern, very clean, many comfortable gathering spaces. From the dining tables indoors and outdoors, to the best equipped kitchen, to sitting on the big swing and watching the purple martins flit in and out of their five houses, to the children's books about horseshoe crabs, everything was just so lovely. There is enough sand at the beach to sit or dig or walk, as well as beautiful rounded stones to collect at the water's edge. Totally worth waking up for every sunrise on the beach. (To swim, drive over to the oceanside). We'll be back.

As for the cottage, it was wonderful. The hosts provided everything you could think of: linens, towels, beach towels, toiletries, beach chairs, kayaks, coffee, etc. Our party consisted of six adults, two children, a nine and six year old, and a nine month old baby. We had plenty of room. Depending on the time of day, the mosquitoes/horseflies could be annoying. For the beach itself, it was conveniently close, right down a little path. I would say it’s more of a natural preserve beach. There’s definitely a good share of dead horseshoe crabs but we weren’t really bothered by them. If you are wanting a beach for swimming, then I don’t think this is the beach for you. It is definitely pebbly, you need flip flops, crocs or water shoes. It’s more for seashell/sea glass picking. On the suggestion in the hosts binder, we went to Cape Henlopen for a day of swimming and sunbathing. It didn’t disappoint either. Fluffy sand, nice ocean waves, a snack bar and a seagull or two looking for a handout. It ended up being a really nice, relaxing time with family.

Beautiful property! Well taken care of. All the amenities you could ever need or want! Quiet neighborhood and lots to do nearby!

My husband and I along with my daughter thoroughly enjoyed staying at this property. It is mere steps to a quiet beach along which you can walk or simply sit in the ample seating provided by the owners. Technology and appliances all worked without fail - wifi, tv, ac, shower, toilet, dishwasher, stove, coffee machine. Rehoboth and Lewes are just a 20 minute drive away. Bed and seating are comfortable. And our dog loved the home. Neighbors were nice. Everything was clean. It is really a great place to stay. Hope we can do it again!

This beach house was perfect and matched exactly what the listing stated - no surprises or disappointments! My husband and I booked this beach house for a last minute trip over Father’s Day weekend. My husband doesn’t like crowds so we were looking for a quiet setting, right on the water, with beautiful views. This place was perfect! The water was a little warmer since it was the Bay Area. We were close to the big ocean beaches with bigger waves and sandy beaches where we could visit for a short time and then retreat back to our peaceful beach cottage. Patrick and Angel were wonderful hosts. They replied quickly, and their home was clean and well maintained. They provided kayaks, boogie boards, sand toys, beach towels, umbrellas, chairs, grill fire pit and more. Some tips that made our stay enjoyable: Bring some water shoes for walking along the pebbly beach. Bring bug spray (with deet) to deter the horse flies. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and will be back again as our children want to make it an annual destination.

We had a wonderful time during our stay at this beachside cottage. It was very clean, and very well set up for guests -- we had everything we needed for our visit, including a well stocked kitchen that made it easy to cook meals. The house is lovely and comfortable, and we absolutely loved the all-weather room with ocean views. The beach is just steps from the house, and there are lots of options for enjoying it, from beach chairs to kayaks. We were looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway, and we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere very much. We brought our two small dogs, and it was a great setup for dog owners -- our pups had a lovely time. We look forward to coming back!
