We had a wonderful stay. The house was exceptionally clean, thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed and more, and incredibly cozy. The amenities truly elevated the experience, making it feel both comfortable and effortless. The location is outstanding, with easy walking access to town as well as the stunning Blue Mountains National Park. The hosts were warm, welcoming, and attentive, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We would absolutely stay here again.

Olwen provides a perfect place! The property has easy access, but also feels hidden away. The dispenser, fireplace, big bed, shower, heated bathroom floors all make it a very cosy stay. I was also impressed that they provided Decaf coffee too. She's thought of all the little things so you can enjoy your big getaway.

We had an amazing time at Evenstar Cottage! The hosts were lovely alongside their adorable dog, and the cottage was so charming, fitted out with wholesome details and personal touches. The amenities were great too! It was in an excellent location just a 10-15 min walk away from the main strip of shops in Blackheath. Would highly recommend!

What a fantastic introduction to Australian hospitality and a beautiful, peaceful base for hiking the Blue Mountains! The thoughtful touches and the amazing amenities all contributed to a peaceful, comfortable stay. You’ve obviously put a lot of work into making this a quaint, homey cottage. Thank you for all your thoughtfulness and recognition of a traveler’s needs.

I'm struggling to find just one thing that stood out, when it was truly a wholly delightful stay!! Not only was the garden and cottage layout stunning and comfortable, the place was clean, tidy, cozy and had such charm - from local art to extensive guide books (and movies you could borrow!), tiny little jams and spreads and the cohesive scent line of soaps, shampoos, toiletries and essential oils to diffuse, this is by the far the most I have ever felt so comfortable and welcomed in a home away from home. Every single detail and beyond has been thoughtfully arranged to create such a memorable experience. We will be back!

This place was so cosy and welcoming. There were little homely touches like essential oils and different condiments. Olwen was very welcoming on arrival and assisted us when we needed to borrow torches to hike the glow worm tunnel. It's peaceful and relaxing and the large bath with jets was just what I needed after a long day hiking. I'll be back.

Evenstar cottage was almost perfect! It is situated in a most gorgeous Blue Mountains garden that is about to burst into masses of blooms. A cute blue cottage with equally attractive decor. Very quiet but easy to find. Super cosy. Fire laid in the grate ready to go. Underfloor heating in bathroom much appreciated in chilly morning. Everything you’d want in the little kitchen area but no oven or hotplate ( there is a big electric frypan so you can do a big breakfast &, if you wanted to, cook a roast with all the trimmings in it)Hiwever, its the little extras. The oil diffuser was on when I arrived and the place smelt lovely. Plenty of oils available to choose from to your mood. Lavender toiletries in the bathroom & towelling gowns. Lots of rugs and cushions & an inviting little table & chairs on the wooden front deck which was sundrenched when I arrived & I had more than one cup of tea out there in the sun. Lots of teas to choose from, a coffee machine that looks fancy, hot chocolate & marshmallows. Cute cosy on the teapot too. I ate at Ates, a very cool venue on main street. Delicious food. I also reccomend Megalong Tea Rooms, not far away actoss the railway, for breakfast, devonshire teas or lunch. I walked the Grand Canyon Track from Evans Head, a short drive away. Just beautiful!Blackheath is only a short trip to Katoomba & Leura and I think is the nicer town to stay in as it has more old fashioned charm. Will be back!!

I've stayed at Evenstar multiple times and always love our stay. It's a cosy granny flat that is well equipped for you to relax for a few days or use as a base to explore the area. Olwen keeps the house well maintained and stocked. Plenty of essential oil products to use, great coffee machine with beans. Kitchen is stocked with all sorts of tea and coffee. Plenty of cushions and blankets to really cosy up. Fire wood provided for the first night so you don't need to think, just light a fire and relax. I love staying here and long forward to the next stay.

Really well-maintained cottage with everything for a comfortable stay. Close to a wedding venue which we attended. It was perfect for our 3-night stay. Not quite cold enough for us to light the log fire, though the mist and rain made it very tempting.
