If you like walking, with or without a dog, you will love the fabulouswalks from the doorstep and we have a handy hosepipe available to wash off muddy boots or dogs. The 3 peaks of the Eildon hills, right behind the holiday cottages, are an iconic landmark in the area and a good challenge for keen walkers and adventurers. Our holiday cottages are situated on a 2 acre site with an orchard, woods and open garden areas with picnic tables and BBQs. We are accessed via a private road with no passing traffic so children can play safely and dogs can be walked off the lead.

Upstairs, there are two twin bedrooms (each has two single beds) and a separate bathroom with a bath and an over-bath shower. All beds have deep, comfortable mattresses and cosy all seasons duvets and pillows made from luxury micro-fibre soft as down, there's no feather bedding.

Also on the ground floor there is an open plan kitchen / dining / sitting room and a sun porch at the front which is a lovely place to sit and watch the birds feeding on the bird feeder hanging in the tree opposite the cottage. It's also a handy place for letting dogs and wet boots dry off if needed.

The kitchen is fully equipped and has an oven, electric hob, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator with small freezer compartment. The crockery is high quality Denby. We had a wonderful week at Langrig. Perfect setting, nestled by the beautiful Eildon Hills. The accommodation was excellent, for my mum, in particular, as she has mobility issues. Rob was extremely helpful and welcoming too. It is clear that the whole estate is well managed and maintained with the guests in mind. We will definitely be back.

Perfect location, quiet and with great views. The cottage was ideal for my husband who has mobility issues. Parking outside the door, all one level, wet room and grab rails made it so much easier and comfortable for us. Rob is a great host, very friendly & welcoming. We will definitely book again and recommend to friends.

Excellent communications with Rob the host prior to arrival. The cottage was open when we got there and it wasn’t long before Rob popped by personally to make sure we had settled in well, to explain the facilities and check all was well. The cottage is situated in the beautiful Eildon Hills with a fabulous outlook over the town of Melrose. Plenty of walks around and about for all who are able but also plenty seating and viewing spaces for those who maybe can’t. It was lovely just to be able to watch all the many species of birds who visited including a woodpecker. We also saw squirrels and rabbits whilst watching the bird feeders. Very handy for the local towns and loads of lovely visitor attractions nearby. The accommodation itself is of a very high standard and extremely well adapted to make it fully accessible downstairs. All in all an ideal holiday venue for all the family. Thanks to Rob and his family for a fabulous break away.

The property was a treat. Easy access for the not so able with the added bonus of a wet room. Beautiful area and near the town. Cottage was spotless with good appliances, plenty crockery, cutlery cooking utensils even a welcome tea tray provided. Our Westie enjoyed it too. Rob was very helpful giving cycling information to our daughter and her boyfriend about local cycling areas. Thank you for our lovely relaxing stay.
