Edgewater Cottage - Private Lakefront Getaway

Wonderful stay! The property was spotless and beautiful! The host even surprised us with a treat for my mom's 76th birthday. The host was responsive and provided everything we could have needed and more. We were thrilled with our stay and would love to come back!!!

We had everything we needed for the stay, the kitchen and baths were well supplied. The rental was spotlessly clean and loved the bath towels and robes supplied. The view over looking the lake was wonderful and the hot tub and back porch furniture were a plus. There are many nice places to eat in the area and would definitely stay here again when in the area.

Wonderful place to get away. The host, Eileen was very communicative and welcoming. The lakehouse was clean and very cool inside. I loved the chandelier made of book pages and the hot tub. Will definitely be back again.

This is our 3rd year coming to Celina in January. We are three old girl friends who like to get away in January to help with the gloom of winter. Grand Lake St. Marys is beautiful. This was our first year at Edgewater Cottage as the place we usually stay was booked. The view of the lake from the cottage is beautiful! It's right outside the door. As far as the cottage itself it was clean, the bathrooms were large, there is a laundry area (which we did not use), and the kitchen is nice. Because it is January and we weren't going to be outside we found the cottage uncomfortable for our needs. We like to visit, play games, do jigsaw puzzles, etc.. The table is quite small for games or puzzles. The chairs for the table are extremely uncomfortable if you sit for very long. We also like to watch movies, but were unable to get the DVD player to work. The fireplace would have been nice, but you basically had to get down on your hands and knees to light it. We also found the yellow rocking chairs in the living room to be uncomfortable as well as the overstuffed loveseat. It is a very nice place just not for our needs. Eileen was great about getting back to us if we had questions and check-in was easy.

Everything was as instructed and all in working order. Very clean and updated…. We had a wonderful stay.

Sweet cottage right on the water. Full kitchen and great bedrooms (2) we didn’t use the futon. Hot tub was clean and hot! Lovely sunrises.

Everything was clean and well appointed. The host provided a comfortable environment for our stay. Loved being right at lake side and hot tub was great. Good location and easy to get to. Shopping was close by. Neighbors were quiet. We really enjoyed our stay.

Location could not have been better. The lake was right there out the door. I have lived in southern Ohio most of my life and I have never been to Grand Lake. It’s large and clean and peaceful. Cottage was very well equipped. The pictures show it accurately-it was nicely decorated and clean. Loved the upstairs primary. I would love to return.

This cottage was absolutely adorable and perfect for our weekend stay! The views were beautiful, especially at night! Siting in the hot tub and watching the full moon was amazing! We enjoyed our stay. The cottage was a good size for 5 adults. When I booked, I thought there were two separate bedrooms plus a loft but the second bedroom upstairs and the loft were one room. We also enjoyed the hot tub. There was an issue with the temperature that we were made aware of and the repair company couldn't come out until after our stay but we were still able to use it. It was also very relaxing to sit on the back patio on the lake and very quiet.

The host was great and made sure we had contact information. The house was awesome. My husband and I loved the house and was perfect for a little vacation from our busy lives. Eileen had everything we needed and the nights sitting on the dock fishing were so peaceful and beautiful. Would recommend 100%.

This is our 4th year staying at Edgewater cottage and we love it! The views, the location to town, the house is always clean and Eileen is very communicative and welcoming! I highly recommend this place!

I just checked out May 18th and have already booked a birthday weekend in October. This is now somewhere I plan on frequenting every year. We fished (caught catfish, perch, drum and bluegill) enjoyed the hotub, and loved the bird watching - watched a bald eagle catch fish as well. The fact that “going to town” was only a 5 minute drive is just another perk! Can’t wait to see what fall looks like on the lake!!!!

Perfect little cottage!

Our third time here and it continues to be our favorite lake cottage. Clean, great location, great fishing dock, relaxing hot tub, and perfect size for our family. Owner is awesome with great communication. Cant get any better.The only thing that would better is if we bought it and lived there!!

Comfortable accommodations. Just right size for 4 of us. The view of the water is awesome. Saw some beautiful sunrises.

Perfect getaway not too far from home. House was cozy. We liked the fireplace, view from upper deck and the hot tub was excellent.

Exceptionally clean, cozy and comfortable. Our second stay with many more to come. Very close to great restaurants and downtown but provides a sense of privacy allowing us to really relax and unwind. Communication with owner very easy. Great cottage right on the lake!!

We had a great mini anniversary getaway. The location was perfect, you are right on the lake, beautiful views and very private.

This was our second stay. Everything is always great. Hot tub. Dock for fishing. Super clean house. Right on the lake. Sports bar right down the road. Cranes, seagulls, and ducks swimming right by the dock. It rained alot from the hurricane remnants but the hot tub was perfect and fish were biting. We caught catfish and bass. The walmart a few miles down the road had a variety of nightcrawlers. Awesome long weekend experience!!

The inside of the cottage was adorable. The back deck area and hot tub were wonderful and relaxing. It is a slice of lake life without the hassle of driving hours and hours or big city stress.
