Our family’s stay was exceptional! The house is wonderful and you can’t beat the view. The host was super responsive, easy to deal with and the house was well stocked, and very comfortable. We found everything we needed to cook family meals, and have a more than comfortable stay. Parking can be tricky with others street parking but I got to practice multi-point turns to get out of the driveway. It was more a nuisance than an issue. The shower is on the small side but the water pressure was amazing and we never ran out of hot water, and the size of the bathroom was large and lots of room to live around. The washer and dryer a bonus for a beach stay. No sand brought home. :) All in all, it was exactly what we needed and we’ll be back! Made a vacation with extended family memorable, comfortable, and feel like home in a beautiful location! And we did see the seals in the bay from the amazing deck. Book this! You won’t be sorry!

Loved the water views and sunsets from deck and inside this home. Large well stocked kitchen and spacious bathroom. Steps down to beach were easy for us to manage and sand below along the water was lovely . Loved the location for access with short drive to Cape Lookout hike and Netarts Spit , also Cape Meares close by in other direction.

I mean. This is our 4th year staying here. It’s special to us. The bay. The view. No wind. The owner is like family now and we love it. It’s not a fancy mansion. One bathroom. Stairs. Lots of stairs. But our family is the happiest when we are here.

We were all very impressed with how beautiful this home is when we walked in. I don't think the pictures do it justice. I think there were some comments about the bedrooms looking a bit old. Yes, when you went upstairs you could tell the home is a little older, but everything was clean and neat and the beds were very comfortable. The one caution I would mention is that there is just one bathroom and it is downstairs. If stairs are a problem, there is a sofa sleeper. There are also stairs down to the beach that only someone who is fine with stairs would want to try. There is easy beach access within driving distance.

We enjoyed our stay here. The house is well supplied, and check-in was easy and straight-forward. Parking is quite limited. We have a full size pickup, and we needed the entire space for it. That is likely typical of most coastal rentals. The area is very quiet and on a dead-end street filled with other seaside cottages. We loved the view and the private back yard and deck. I enjoyed cooking in the kitchen with its ample pans and really good appliances. The washer and dryer were a great convenience. We also appreciated the excellent internet and direct tv and streaming access. The house sits high above the inlet, but beach acess is directly below and reached on a wooden stairway with rope and post railings. We are both older with bad knees, and we had no trouble getting down and back up. For people unfamiliar with the area it is worth noting that the inlet is protected by a large sandbar, so there is no surf at the beach. We think a family with children might really like it because younger kids can play in the water without worrying about the breakers and rough surf. There are great state beach parks nearby if you want to play in the surf. We went to Cape Lookout nearly everyday. Some of the windows are missing screens, but we had no issues with insects, and the breezes were heavenly! We relaxed like we never can at home! I would love to come back sometime!

A lovely home in a terrific and convenient setting. We enjoyed every minute (8 days) and really hated to leave. Flowers all around the home outside provided lots of hummingbird visits....Lots of foliage; very private. The home has many charming touches in decoration, the kitchen is well stocked....the owner even provided dishwasher and clothes washing soaps. The 84 stairs to the beach aren't too bad....it's the rocks at the bottom where you have to be more careful not to slip ....all very doable. We're in our late 70's and did fine. It's an older beach cottage!... and housekeeping does well with maintaining cleaning standards but you will find cobwebs here and there...some reviewers have been a bit critical....we say, breath, relax and enjoy this wonderful place!

Small family get together on the beach. Actually got sunsets! Near everything fun. Loved the place has its own stairs down to the beach. Only problem is bathroom is on first floor, nothing upstairs where bedrooms are.

Stayed 6 nights as this home. The views are spectacular! Bring your crab fishing gear because the bay is perfect for this! The home was as described in the listing property. The home was 98% clean, my only complaint about that was that, there needs to be cobweb dusting done and, maybe a spraying for spiders outside. This home had everything needed for a longer stay, nice kitchen items (glasses, dishes, utensils) and washer and dryer. The couch and loveseat seem newer and were comfortable. The bed we slept in was comfortable. We were never provided an email or attachment with check in/check out information as promised and I did check spam/trash/junk folder. We had to call for the code and the Yale door code was weathered and was hard to get it to wake up to get in (it always took some time to get it to wake up). Owner is slow to respond through the app. The stairs to the beach are nice and well kept up until you get to the rocks at the end of the stairs - be careful there the rocks are not very steady. This yard is very small and not fenced so, keep this in mind if you bring your pets but, other than that nice. The deck is very nice and had it been warmer when we were there, we would have used it a lot. There is quite a bit of things to do and scenery if you like to head off for adventures. I would stay again to fish for crab.
