Saint Augustine, Florida
Great location! Immaculate 2 bedroom 1 bathroom cottage in a friendly neighborhood. Plenty of off street parking. A 10 minute walk to downtown St. Augustine - St. George Street and other attractions - and only 10 minutes drive to the surrounding beautiful beaches. Walking distance to the very popular Lincolnville Restaurants - the Ice Plant Bar and Distillery and the Blue Hen. Located in historic Lincolnville on Lake Maria Sanchez. Minimum age 25 to rent.
Street view didn’t show the true neighborhood. House next door was in sorry shape and looked like it might fall down. There were a few like that in the neighborhood while some were lovely. Disturbing to see no trespassing signs on some of the houses.
The cottage was very cute. It was clean and had more than enough of the things we needed. It was in a reasonable walking distance to all the shops. We will definitely stay there again the next time we go!
Walking distance to historic downtown and very clean and cozy. I would definitely rent it again if I return to St. Augustine.
This was a pretty nice property. The home itself is charming. Unfortunately, the outside does not resemble the picture. For example, the picket fence is no longer a nice shade of stained brown and the porch could use refreshing. This however, is not a deal beaker. The street this property is on is very dark at night. While the area may be safe, it does feel a bit sketchy, given the state of various homes in the area; a lot of them appear to be empty and in real need of renovations/repair. Google Weeden street to get an idea, so you're prepared. Walking distance is approx 15 min to historic downtown, so it was in a very good spot. Short drive to the beach area (15 min). Depending on when you go, make sure you're prepared to make reservations to any of the restaurants either in historic downtown, or the couple of restaurants near the home. This may be due to smaller staff sizes and the current virus issue, but it was hard for us to walk up and get seated, and some restaurants were totally booked a couple day out. With respect to the home itself, we enjoyed it. The only disappointment was the fact that the listing says it sleeps 5. While this is true if someone wants to sleep on the couch (not a pull-out, but as Elliot stated, it is very comfortable), or triple up on one of the two queen size beds, it really sleeps 4. I wish I had know that prior to booking because there were other sleep 5 options for the same price. To Elliot's credit, he did offer to bring us a blow up mattress; We decided to triple up on a queen bed. The TV is equipped with You-Tube TV. I'm saying this because if you're not familiar with it, you should get familiar with it before you go, as it took me a couple of days to figure out how to get live channels. While I did not meet Elliot as some have, he was incredibly nice and helpful over the phone; explaining the history of the house, and suggesting areas to go. So, would I ever rebook? Yes. Our overall experience was very nice, and now we know to bring only 4 people.
The property was as described. Clean and well furnished. Close to downtown, the Ice Plant and the Fish Camp. No complaints, will stay here again when the opportunity presents itself.
House was very clean. Owner was friendly & let us know the best restaurants & things to do on our stay
Front door could use paint, peeling, front porch as well, new appliances, confortable beds. Recommend Fish Camp few blocks away, great food & service.
We enjoyed our stay in this cozy home. It had everything we needed and the location was good. The property owners were wonderful to work with.
Besides the semi false misrepresentation of the exterior of the house, our stay was fine. House was clean. The house looks nothing like the photo which was disappointing. Walking distance to Ice Plant Bar.
Good locale. House was clean. Front porch area could use some TLC. Elliot the manager was very helpful and checked up on us
