'Dood's Ranch', cozy mountain cottage on horse farm in Waynesville!

Everything was fabulous. We didn’t get to meet the host, but everything was so self explanatory when we arrived, the only thing we missed was the opportunity to exchange pleasantries. Great Property at an extremely fair price

Beautiful cabin, well equipped with everything you need from towels to kitchen supplies. Beautiful and peaceful area.

What a nice house in a quiet area..and within an easy walk to Main Street. Beautiful view of the mountains and the house has everything you can think of…we all enjoyed our time there and would stay here again!

We had a great time there and enjoyed the deck. Just needs a few more pans (pizza pan) for cooking. Newer frying pans. Microwave kept causing circuit overload, needs to be on a dedicated circuit. The deck needs to have caution tape where you step down. It’s very easy to fall. Solar lighting on deck would be nice, too.

The Home is conveniently located to everything! The Home was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. Highly recommend!

This was our second stay here this year! It is very clean roomy house! Beautiful views and great location. Love our stay will be back hopefully in May 2026!

We arrived after dark and it started to snow later at night so we were glad for the front porch light and a heated house. We are from Florida and have vacationed in this area for many years and this is the first time it has ever snowed. We loved the scenery but hated the drive. The entire house was immaculate! Beautifully decorated. Our every need was met. We highly recommend this wonderful house. Only two complaints which the owner may not be aware: the upstairs bed was unstable with only one board to hold up the mattress also the window blind fell while being opened. We were not made aware of this from the couple who stayed in that room until we left or I would have left a note at the house instead of reporting it here. Other than that....we had a lovely stay and will return if able in the future. God bless the owners.

Bill was the most amazing host! The home was wonderful, clean, warm and cozy. We enjoyed our time there so much and look forward to returning. We highly recommend Dood's Ranch for your stay in the mountains.

We had a great weekend location was perfect the view off the front porch was amazing! The house was so cozy and clean. The house has everything you needed for the stay all you need to bring is your food and snacks! Mr Bill Checked in on us to make sure everything was good!! I will be using this gem again!! Did not disappoint!!

We came for a conference at Lake Junaluska and this perfect. 4 adults and one dog. The property was wonderfully situated to downtown and the lake. Everyone commented on how comfortable and convenient it was. The host was wonderful to work with.

Overall the house was clean, and well organized, the instructions were straightforward and clear. The only downside was there were no horses, which was a big draw for us, but as far as everything else, it was beautiful.

We enjoyed our stay. It was clean, and very comfortable. We had cold rainy weather while we were there and we stayed warm and cozy while visiting.

Our weekend stay was wonderful! The house was so clean and charming. The beds were comfy. The house has everything you need! I Loved sitting on the porch looking up at the mountains! If we’re ever in the area again we would love to stay at Dood’s Ranch!

We went and stayed to see family, it was a lovely home with so many accommodations and extra’s. Convenient location and such a great host, he told us the house was ready and we could check in anytime that day. We have agreed we will be staying every visit we make there from now on, very pleased.

The location and layout of the house were perfect for our visit to Waynesville. Easy to get into town. A few minor issues on arrival but a quick response from our host got everything in order. For coffee drinkers be prepared to bring your own.

Stayed as part of a family group here and it was a great stay. Plenty of room and clean. Would definitely stay again if we need a place around the area again.

Doods ranch is a quaint home with all the conveniences for a really nice stay. All the necessary supplies were provided including shampoo & conditioners! The home was very clean & its location to downtown Waynesville was perfect. Would stay again.

This was our second stay here. We enjoyed our stay once again. Our grandchildren loved the upstairs rooms and the house location.

Four female friends gathered to celebrate birthdays! Doods horse farm was the perfect spot!

Visit with our Ashville kids was disrupted by the hurricane. We booked in Waynesville because it had water!! Absolutely love the area! This home was the best equipped vrbo I have experienced! Very comfortable and relaxing stay!
