The house is very well equipped and the four of us had great time. We did not like the area around the house too much, but as we were sightseeing all day, it was not a problem for us.
We really enjoyed our stay. It was clean with very good restaurants nearby. Great location for the Redwood State park.
A very comfortable stay as we explored the coast and redwoods
We really enjoyed the house. We had been a bit confused about the two double beds being in the same room but if all worked out in the end. Very peaceful. We enjoyed!
this is a gem! very clean, quiet, right on the canal, short walk to the waterfront ... it had everything we needed. the management is by vacasa instead of the private owner. the keypad for opening the door was malfunctioning and it took them 3 hours to answer our text. the bicycles had flat tires, and there were no instructions about how to get the kayaks in and out of the canal. even with those issues, this place is sweet sweet. we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. i think that places that are operated by the owners tend to work out better.
This house was clean and comfortable to stay in. My kids enjoyed the going on the deck. The location is great. Close to stores and things we wanted to do. I recommend this house.
We loved having a cozy place to return to after our adventures.
A little difficult to get the heat right, but otherwise just fine.
It was cold! Two days in a 62 degree house before we figured out heating. Only a breakfast/lunch place nearby within walking distance…and it was closed two days of our stay. When the sun came out it was pleasant but remote. One wine glass?! Most everything else was used but adequate. Very uncomfortable seating throughout.
This place fit my family which is unusual. My kids enjoyed the games and the pool. I enjoyed the staff and the atmosphere.
I did not receive any check out instructions until after I left. I got the email at 1105 but left the house at 6am.
The house is clean. We love the comforter.
This was a great little house perfect for a family of 4 with teens. Location was a good feature. Easy on/off from Hwy 101 yet very quiet. The kayaks, bicycles, and gas grill were all welcome items. The house was also very clean and had a well stocked kitchen. We are really happy we stayed here vs a hotel and we would stay again if we were ever in the area.
The dock and kayaks really make this a great spot for nature lovers. Striking distance to all the best redwood groves and coastline. We’ll appointed kitchen and furnishings throughout.
We loved our stay at Cottage on the Canal! Easy to get to, clean and comfortable, and the owners have made it welcoming to guests. We loved taking walks down to bay to watch the sunset. You can even watch the goats across the canal for daily entertainment! We give this home 5/5 stars!
Wonderful place to stay very clean and relaxing.
On a canal away from downtown which is nice
The owner has thought of everything. All the things you need to cook your own meal, relax on the patio,do some kayaking or go for a bike ride. And, it was all very clean and neat.I would definitely stay here again.
