Come make yourself at home at this cute and cozy three bedroom Rockaway Beach vacation cottage! Recently remodeled, this pet friendly home-away-from-home is filled with charm due to the beautiful wood-slat ceilings and wainscoting. And best of all, it's right across the street from the ocean and downtown Rockaway Beach!
On nights when you want to stay in, there's a flat screen TV on the mantle, as well as cable and a DVD player. Just pop some popcorn and settle back onto the comfy couches for a movie night or just lounge about and use the WiFi to get online.
The modern kitchen is well-stocked with stainless steel appliances and gadgets for meal preparation. Here you'll have a refrigerator, stovetop/oven, dishwasher, toaster, and even a coffee grinder. Pick up some fresh seafood while out and about and you'll be able to make a memorable vacation dinner your whole group will enjoy sitting down to. Out on the deck, there's a gas grill, giving you even more cooking options.
At night, the three bedrooms have spots for up to eight guests, with two queen beds, a king-size bed, and two twins. And in the master bedroom, you'll even have a beautiful claw-foot tub.
When you stay at the Ocean Shells Cottage, you can bring up to two dog guests as well (less than 40 pounds each and with a nightly pet fee). When you're here, you'll also have a washer and dryer for doing laundry, so don't worry about getting dirty while out exploring the Oregon Coast with your four-legged friends.
Best of all, it's just a short walk from here right down to the beach. Head to the sand to build sandcastles, fly kites, or just relax and watch the waves roll in. There's miles and miles of beach to explore, including the iconic Twin Rocks to the south - a perfect backdrop for sunset photos.
Downtown Rockaway Beach has a number of restaurants on the nights you don't feel like staying in. There's the Whale Spout for fish and chips and clam chowder, the Cow Belle Cafe for hearty breakfasts, or you can pick up a pizza at Upper Crust and bring it back to your beach house to enjoy.
This Rockaway Beach vacation rental is perfect for a family getaway or a group of friends who want to stay right near the beach! Filled with cozy furnishings and charming accents, you'll love staying at this cottage and exploring the Rockaway Beach area.

Love the kitchen, the beds, how close the beach is. Not happy that they called the day we were to be there to tell me the hot tub not working.
Loved being so close to the ocean.
Such an awesome home for a family vacation. We loved being so close to the beach and Rockaways shopping centers. This is a great destination being so close to the garibaldi pier as well as tillimook. We took a day driving up to the coast as well and we’re happy with how short of a drive it was to seaside and canon beach. Definitely coming back again!
Pros: cute, charming and well decorated on the inside inside. It was very clean but downstairs did have a slight dog smell, however it is a dog friendly home. Beds were all very comfortable, all TV’s worked but be prepared to log into your streaming subscriptions. Lots of DVD’s to choose from also. Kitchen was nice and had everything we needed to cook dinners. Do bring tin foil, baggies and bag clips. The beach is barely a block away and an easy walk. Town is right in front of the home (literally). Cons: sits right on the freeway and feet from the railroad tracks (short tourist trains ran during the day only). The surrounding homes are not in good condition and this home sits smashed between them. We didn’t open the blinds because of this. The lock box to get the key was difficult to open. The lock on the hot tub was difficult to open. The hot tub didn’t work and wouldn’t heat up beyond 96 degrees. It was a tiny bit Sandy but it was clean. I really feel the pictures and description of the hime need to be updated to the reality of the outside. Though the inside of the house itself was cute, we just felt depressed here due to not able to see anything worth opening the blinds for and actually left a day early. : (
We where told the day of check-in that the hot tub was not working. The house was ok needs some work. Neighborhood was a little sketchy. Check-out was 10am a little to early for us. Love how close the shops and beach was.
The property inside was very clean. The kitchen was well stocked which made it easy to cook a small Thanksgiving dinner. Proximity to the beach and local shops and restaurants was also really great. The beds were very comfortable and there were many extra blankets which is needed in the colder months as the home is older and has wall heaters. Although this home is very cute with a great location close to the beach, it is smashed between a few other rundown properties that appear to house full time residents. Parking in the back of the home was often taken by others, which was fine since we could park in front and only had 2 car, but I could see how this might be tough during the prime beach season. Check in was a bit tough as the key was in a kickback that was very weathered and extremely difficult to open. We also arrived at night and there were no exterior lights on, making it even more difficult to get to the lockbox and fetch the key. The home was clean but the hot tub was not very clean. It was also very tough to unlock the hot tub as the padlock was rusted and full of sand. The internet was also not working and per the instructions from Vacasa, we had to call the provider directly to troubleshoot and schedule a fix. Luckily they were able to come out relatively quickly and fix the cable/internet, which apparently had been cut a few days before we arrived. Overall it was a nice getaway, but the small but important details were missed for our family.
It was a really lovely property with a lot of charm and sweet features. Gas grill was in great shape, the hot tub was clean, and there was something for each of us to enjoy.
I enjoyed the personal touch, more like home. Lots of bake and cookware, spices, and appliances. Great for children,as well as adults. The only thing I would change is the hot tub was sandy.
Plenty of space for everyone to sleep and have their own space. Very comfortable beds.
The location of this property is by far the best thing about it, a block from the beautiful Rockaway beach, and right across the street from Flamingo Jims and other shops. I was hoping for a relaxing and lazy time at the beach, however, when we arrived, the hot tub had a blue ring of gunk around it. There was also a used bar of soap in the shower, it made me question if it was cleaned before our arrival. The property manager was quick to send someone out to clean the hot tub, but I hadn't planned on spending time waiting for the repair man during our visit. The only TV we could get to work after we were in for the night was the living room. Not one other TV worked for us. There were directions for trying different remotes, or this or that, and also to call if we needed further assistance. Well, we opted not to call because calling for things to work isn't my idea of a relaxing time. For the price I paid, I felt like it all should've just worked, or most things anyway. The hot tub and TV issues were inconvenient for the price we paid.
The tv remote downstairs was chewed up and not working property when we got there. Also no instructions on how to work the tv in the footbed- it would turn on but could t get any channels. Beds were comfy, love how close to the beach. Very spacious for a family. We’ll definitely be back.
Beds were so comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed, furniture very comfortable, great location, very short walk to the beach, and across the street from gift shops, grocery store and restaurants
It was perfect for our family. Thank you
will stay aghain
Quirky, cute and well done! The location is AMAZING! One block from the awesome beach! RockaWay Beach is off the beaten path-but with the house being 20 min to Tillamook and 20 min to Mazanita-its a great place to land. Wonderful sheets, great beds and cozy blankets blankets make this home feel like you are staying at a friends house.
Good location 1 block from the beach and close to shops. House is nicely decorated and has all of the essentials.
This is a great property. My sister's and I had a great time and we were very comfortable in the home. I loved how close it was to the beach. The rates are very reasonable, the kitchen is well stocked. Overall a great place to vacation. Thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful home!!
The area was great, quiet neighborhood. The house was cozy. There was no issues besides the hot tub. (We were really excited to hang out that evening in the hot tub and relax,so we were very disappointed)
