We had a lovely stay at The Old Barn, it’s well equipped, quiet and dog friendly. The parking worked well, we have a 4x4 and a tow bar mounted bike rack. We also appreciated having a secure shed for our bikes. The neighbours are friendly and made us feel welcome, we are planning to return to the cottage to explore the area further. My only comment is about recycling as we couldn’t find a recycling bin. But we did locate and use the local recycling facility, which is at The Reeth Dales Centre.

The house was a comfortable base for walking in Swaledale, large enough for 4 adults. If you want to self-cater there are all the facilities you need; if not, there are 2 pubs providing food within a stone’s throw. The central heating was very welcome on cold wet days. There are several walks you can start from the house, and many more if you’re prepared to drive a few miles. We would strongly recommend it.

The Old Barn exceeded our expectations. Very well maintained property and fully equipped for our needs. Set in a quiet and private location with a pleasant courtyard garden. Directions and details provided by the property manager are accurate.

This holiday home is wonderful! Especially as it does have ample parking for 2 cars, we had a Volvo and a Honda CRV. Very comfortable (we found the sofa and chair to be perfect) with a well stocked kitchen, the first batch of fuel for the fire was very welcome in a very wet Aug! You are in a central location within the village without being on the main road. Within 200 yrds of 3 welcoming pubs (which all do food) and are dog friendly, a newsagents, village store and 2 excellent bakeries. Not to mention the ice cream parlour, which is well worth a visit……or 2. The surrounding area is beautiful we hired mountain bikes 1 afternoon which was great. The Forbidden Corner is excellent especially if you have children. A wonderful find in a wonderful location somewhere we would definitely return to. Thank you very much

Great location of property in centre of Reeth. No need to use the car as walks on your doorstep. Pubs in the village were very welcoming. Little post office and village shop just in case you had forgotten anything. Property was well stocked with all you need for your stay.

We had a nice holiday living in Hanna's house. Everything was as described. The house is easy to find. It seems bigger than in the photos. It was comfortable to live in. Only the sofa, as someone mentioned earlier, is not the most comfortable. Thanks for a nice vacation ?
