Lupine Cottage is ideal for smaller families or couples who want to be able to walk to Rockland and experience all the area has to offer. Owl's Head is also accessible after a short drive, giving you and your guests a number of options for scenic walks, local dining, and exploring the coast.
Return from your adventures to a beautifully renovated, charming vacation home. The downstairs is open-concept with high ceilings, hardwood floors, a large kitchen, breakfast bar, dining area with seating, and a comfortable living room. The house opens onto a gorgeous sunroom with an ingenious design — the large windows can be opened for a screen porch feel or closed (with the blinds closed) for a cool room on hot days. This room, with its leather chairs and comfortable couch, is perfect for entertaining, reading, or simply relaxing. The well-stocked kitchen is large and fully equipped with all modern appliances including a gas stove, dishwasher, and refrigerator. The kitchen even opens to the dining area and living room so cooks can still interact with the rest of the house.
The cottage boasts a large deck at the front (water facing) overlooking a lovely lawn, a field of lupines and wildflowers, and views of the bay, Owl's Head, and the Breakwater Lighthouse. The deck has seating, a bistro set for eating alfresco, and a grill, making it tempting to spend entire evenings outside.
Upstairs find a large primary bedroom with a full row of windows, running the width of the house, overlooking the water. Begin and end every day with picturesque views of the horizon.

Very comfortable, clean, and in a great location near town.
The views of the bay were nice. Lots of windows facing the water from the bedroom and living room and kitchen. Bathrooms were a bit small but functional. Some reviews complained about having to back out into a busy street, but if you have a not-too-big car you can turn around in the driveway.
We enjoyed our stay at Lupine Cottage. It was very comfortable, great location and had a great stocked kitchen. The only complaint was that there was no deck furniture or grill. We would have loved to sit out and enjoy the beautiful view, but there was no furniture to do so. Also, the grill that was advertised was not there. Overall, it was a good stay and I would recommend it. We will keep it in mind for future trips to the area.
Lovely house with good views of the sea, very well stocked kitchen and perfect for exploring the Rockland to Camden coastal strip. The road out front is indeed a bit noisy , but unless you're planning to spend lots of time in the property, this should not be too much of a problem.
Modernized cottage, very comfortable. Loved the view and sitting on the deck. The deck needs to be repainted though, lots of peeling paint chips and not good to walk on barefoot. Master bedroom great, smaller bedroom would benefit from a full size bed rather than a twin. Great rental, and pups allowed!
The cottage was very clean and attractively furnished. Everything worked! The deck cushions were located in a chest in the front room but that should be stated in the book in the cottage. The address of 62 Ingraham Dr. was also Route 73, a very, very busy road. You could not back out of the driveway. You had to turn around before leaving the driveway. The person in charge of the rental agency in Rockland was especially helpful. Her name was Jennifer. The maintenance person whose name was Wolfgang was very prompt when we called Jennifer to report a broken step on the deck. {Someone should have checked the property before guests arrived.} He replaced the entire step. The front of the house was never shown on any on-line review. I really liked the cottage but not the location! Jennifer from Vacassa should be commended! She was great!
This cottage has charm and a lovely view of the water. With two sitting areas inside and a deck outside it is the perfect place to relax after boating, hiking, eating out or touring the towns of Maine.
Good location, clean (except for the grill which was filthy) and recently updated but the microwave broke and while we reported it, never heard back from the management company. Altogether with the high fees not a good value.
The house is very cozy and has a spectacular view.
We’ve been vacationing in Maine for more than thirty years so we knew ahead of time the cottage was located on the main thoroughfare between Owls Head and Rockland. The cottage is nicely renovated and the neighbors were quiet. It’s a great location for exploring the Mid Coast if you don’t mind some road noise. Taller travelers need to be aware the half bath off the kitchen appears to be a renovated pantry so we had to sit sideways on the toilet. We were surprised that we had to make up the bed upon arrival. Overall the property was clean and comfortable.
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed in Lupine Cottage for three months and felt right at home. Waking up to the water view every morning was a treat and the house was cozy and comfortable.
