Welcome to our Cranesville Rental Whispering Pines... Whispering Pines is nestled in the pines and premiere farm land in tiny community of Cranesville. It borders Cranesville Swamp Nature conservancy. It has a beautiful pond for catch and release fishing, There are cattle, sheep, horses, mules, ducks, and chickens for you to enjoy. You will also see deer, turkey, birds, and an occasional bear. Firewood $5.00 a crate. Let us know how much wood you would like.
We have Red Star chickens.

Stayed Sep 12, 2025There’s nothing I can say that will adequately convey the magic of this place. The cabin is lovely, with windows on all sides, and you feel like you are inside a fishbowl with a beautiful farm all around you. All the animals are friendly, the fresh eggs are delicious and the people are all so wonderful and friendly! As an animal lover, I can honestly say this place is heaven and I hope to come back again soon.

Stayed Nov 8, 2024This was an amazing cabin, we loved every minute of our stay. It was a girls trip for my daughter’s birthday. We all loved seeing and petting the horses and mule. The morning was gorgeous. We loved how it felt very cozy and with nature while there. The Host is very sweet and her daughter in law as well. It was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of city/suburban area’s. We will return.

Stayed Aug 9, 2024My wife and I really enjoyed our weekend at this property. It Is a very clean property located in a picturesque country setting. The host was very helpful and responded to all of our questions. The fire pit and hot tub are wonderful additions. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed Nov 23, 2022Our kids have ranked this their favorite vacation, “We have our own mule, pony, cats, chickens and cows”! We were able to see deer off in the distance and one came in the yard. The hot tub was wonderful! The house was clean and the pictures don’t do it justice, there is plenty of room. We traveled into McHenry for the Festival of Trees and stopped at Mountain State Brewery (based on other reviews - awesome!) on the way back to the property. Overall, we had a great time and will probably be back!!
