Stayed Aug 10, 2022An outstanding house with all the comfort and mod cons we needed for a relaxing holiday in Burgundy. The stylish property was extremely clean and well equipped in a quiet and beautiful location of the village of Boyer. Many of the faculties like the dish washer, washing machine, cooker etc were all new and we. had access to 3 showers and 3 toilets! Jacques, the host, and his family were warm and inviting and made us feel very welcome. They spoilt us with home made apple juice, cake and home grown vegetables. The location is fantastic and we were able to enjoy very easily the lovely historic towns of Tournus, Dijon, Cluny, Brancion and Autun. Furthermore some stunning walks are on the doorstep of the Gite which enabled us to really appreciate the Burgundy countryside. Fantastic house, host and location. Would totally recommend the place. (The beds were really comfortable too!)

Stayed Oct 24, 2021We took advantage of the good situation of the house to explore the beautiful surrounding by foot and see all the culturally rich landmarks in the vicinity. The children loved the garden and the nearby brooks to play at. The whole setting of this place is even more picturesque than you can see from the photos. What's more, the owners of the place are the most friendly people you can imagine.

Stayed Aug 25, 2018This is by far the best gite I have ever stayed at. The accommodation was superb, spotlessly clean, very well appointed and huge! The beds are very comfortable! The owners were so welcoming and made us feel really special. Fresh peaches and figs from the garden were out of this world. There was also sunloungers and a bbq available for us to use. The local area is beautiful, vinyards galore and Tournus is a lovely town to walk around. We also visted Geneva and Chamonix although a good drive away, well worth it. All in all a wonderful holiday. Thank you Jaques and Mitou

Stayed Jul 29, 2017Boyer is a very small village, a few houses and a church, close to Tournus. The 'gite' is very well equipped with spacious rooms and three bathrooms. Jacques and Mitou, the owners, live next door and are a very nice and helpful couple. The garden is spacious and for children there are toys. For those who like good food Tournus is close to heaven and good wine producers are just a mile away.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Our family loved this home. A newly remodeled, incredibly charming, centuries old farmhouse, was the perfect location for our week long trip in Burgundy. The house is spacious with more than enough room for our family of three. It is nicely decorated and has a lovely and fully specked kitchen which was great as we cooked a number of family meals in the house. It comes with a huge back yard and comes outfitted with a playhouse and other toys that kept our 17 month old daughter entertained for hours on end. Jacques, the proprietor, lives next door but gave us all the privacy we needed. He also arranged for delivery of fresh baguettes daily (amazing!) and on several occasions provided us the fresh fruits and vegetables from his garden (also amazing). He also gave us great suggestions for local food markets and area attractions. In addition, Boyer was also a great location from which to explore burgundy. We ventured out to Beaune, wine tours, Dijon, as well as many other places. We fell in love with Burgundy and hope to return soon back to this lovely French farmhouse in Boyer soon, if not yearly. Thank you Jacques for such a great stay.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The landlords Jacques and Mittou were particularly friendly and helpful. They live next door. Regularly we were surprised with products from their own vegetable garden. The house is very well equipped and spacious in almost all the rooms. In every room is a wall socket for an internet connection. Useful if the Wi-Fi connection sometimes fails. Do bring with you your own internet cable. The large garden with apple trees offers plenty of shelter from the sun. In addition to the deck chairs, there are 3 sun loungers available. The House is conveniently located in southern Burgundy. At Tournus is an exit off the A6 toll road, which is a 5 minutes drive. Via the A6 are Dijon and Lyon both reachable in approx. 1 hour. Tournus counts 5 supermarkets and more than 10 restaurants.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a fantastic week in Boyer. The house is very comfortable and well equipped. We were travelling with a baby and a todler and everything was there yet: babybed, bath, high chair, changing pillow, toys. Also the beds are made, it's clean, you'll find a lot of info on the region and the owner is very friendly and gives you a warm welcome. They're available for anything and spoiled us with fruit and vegetables from the garden as well as lovely apple juice and cidre. We enjoyed the lovely big and beautiful garden as well as our son enjoyed the playhouses and tractor. The house is very well situated, within a 30 minute drive you can see a lot of beautiful places. We will surely return!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We are a retired couple and we stayed here for two weeks at the end of June. We were joined for most of the time by our son and his wife and new born grandson, and also by our son's mother-in-law. The cottage is large enough to accommodate the needs of such a diverse group and we had a very enjoyable and relaxing time. The weather was not great so we had to wear sweaters as the cottage is cool. The grounds are lovely and we really enjoyed being outside when the sun was out. Jacques and Mitou are wonderful hosts. We had fresh flower arrangements in all rooms when we arrived and we were made to feel very welcome. Our French is limited but this did not matter as Jacques speaks English very well. Throughout our stay Jacques was available for anything we needed as he lives in the adjacent building but at no time did we feel that he was too close or interfering. Jacques provided a bath and change sheet for the baby and we noticed many other things on site for a family with older children - he has really thought out what is needed for a relaxing holiday in a quiet village. You would need a car here to be able to get to towns such as Tournus and Chalon-sur-Saone and to visit vineyards and other interesting sites in southern Burgundy. We liked that there is an excellent wine shop close by on the highway - excellent wines from this region, tastings, and an interesting exhibition about wine making in the region. We found some very nice restaurants but also prepared our own food in the well appointed kitchen. We will happily return here and recommend it to family and friends

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We stayed in Boyer for 2 weeks in early July - a great holiday in a centrally located gite in a very large property on the edge of a small village in Burgundy. The gite has been renovated to a high standard and offers all the facilities necessary for a comfortable stay. The property was exactly as described in the listing and was well maintained and very clean. The owners live on site and were very attentive, offering much valued advice about the local area as well as some delights from their kitchen and gardens. The weather was quite hot during our stay and in the absence of air conditioning, the availability of fans would have made things more comfortable. However, I would recommend this property without reservation to our family and friends and would certainly stay there again in the future should circumstances permit.
