    We had a lovely few days stay at Whistlers with our little dog. The cottage is in a great location, tucked away from the high street with easy on road parking. The owner is clearly a lover of wildlife and we enjoyed watching the birds use all the feeders in the garden. However, we weren't very keen on the large number of stuffed birds on display in the house...a strange thing to have in a holiday rental property!

    Very nice property, comfortable and cosy. Helpful housekeeper when needed, and very well kept. A couple of observations. While the dog was welcomed, unfortunately the pond in the enclosed garden meant we were unable to let her run aroung there, she tends to drink any water. The stairs has no handrail, making for a difficult walk up and down for the lesser mobile. Would be easy to install a handrail to the left going up the stairs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay though. We took some logs with us and the stove was lovely and toasty.

    From booking through to leaving excellent communication Location perfect The cottage is beautiful with lovely, homely touches throughout. Comfy beds and sofas Well equipped kitchen (though we didn’t use much as close enough to eat out) Lovely garden for our pups. We visited in December so didn’t get the benefit of sitting outside but will definitely return to this wonderful property The owner was amazing and made us most welcome
