Delightful Country Cottage with Ocean Outlook

This stay, in the Delightful Country Cottage was simply amazing! It had everything one could possibly need for a most comfortable stay. Sooo quiet. And the owners were justca text away, if we needed anything...but of course we didn't. Will definitely revisit this cabin in the not-too-distant future. The island, itself, was as gorgeous as we remembered from our last visit 41 years before, when we came for our honeymoon!

I wish I could give a 10 star rating as others have, but between the steep rutted driveway, overall maintenance needs of the home (worn furniture, sliding glass door doesn’t easily open and there is a large hole in the screen, bathroom fan needs a good cleaning). That plus the requirement to not flush toilet paper and take your garbage with you (we had 4 days worth of garbage and a 10 hour trip going home). And the view is almost non existent with tree growth. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable, kitchen well equipped, it was walkable to several beaches, and the owner did communicate well. Maybe just too rustic for me?

A peaceful place to unwind and relax. The cottage had everything you may need while on vacation. Owner was very attentive.

This property was incredibility quiet and serene. It is very close to some of the nicer beaches and walks on Pender Island. We spent many hours on the deck, glass of wine in hand, watching the deer including fawn idly grazing on the grass around the deck. The property is very much as described and is very well appointed.

We enjoyed a quiet 2 night stay here and had a chance to relax and unwind. It was a lovely cottage and had everything we needed. Thanks Brigitte.

Beautiful cottage in beautiful location with lots of lovely tall trees. These, far enough to allow excellent light into the cottage. Very clean and well stocked kitchen. Host very friendly and efficient. Altogether a great stay!!

The woodstove was great, lots of dry firewood! Amazing host, cozy cabin and everything we had hoped for a family getaway.

We really enjoyed our stay...the cottage was a very good size for us & having the gate on the deck meant we could let our dog enjoy being outdoors. The surrounding area is lovely & very quiet and Bridgette was very welcoming! We will be back.

A lovely cozy cottage on South Pender, filled with light from the south and west all day. A well a-pointed kitchen with all you need. Delightful wood burning stove, with wood provided. Welcoming host. Set amongst light filtering trees. Very quiet and serene.Close to beautiful Brooks Point Regional Park with an outstanding Golf Island landscape and views south to the San Juan Islands.

Space was beautiful and Brigitte was lovely. Only drawback was upstairs beds could use mattress toppers as they were quite hard

This is our third time staying at the cabin. Brigitte is always welcoming and helpful and the cabin has everything we need at a great price. Previously we’ve visited mid winter and enjoyed the wood stove, but this fall we also got to enjoy the sunny deck in the afternoon and star gazing at night.There are multiple destinations for walks nearby that we took advantage of, and Brooks point is also close.The only negative I would mention is a couple tight turns in the road near Poet’s Cove on the way to the cabin. You get use to it but it’s tricky.

Bright, clean, comfortable, and quiet! Steps away from a short trail down to the ocean, an easy stroll to Poets Cove, a 5 minute drive from Brooks Point... so a nice location on South Pender.

Lovely place! We really enjoyed staying at the cottage! It was beautiful inside and out! Super clean and some lovely art! It is in with the trees and has a grassy area for our dog to run around.

We had another wonderful stay at the Delightful Country Cottage on Pender. We feel very fortunate to return to this fabulous location. The host went above and beyond.

Situated in nature, close to Brooks Point and the Poet Cove restaurant with enough trails available for exploration, we enjoyed the peacefulness of our stay.The only thing I was missing was drapes or blinds in the upstairs bedroom as it made us wake up too early.We had to get used to not drinking the local water but enough bottled water was available.

The cottage was immaculately clean. Brigitte was a perfect host who made herself easily available to us to answer any questions about the place and suggestions of services on Pender Island. The cottage had everything we needed. The kitchen had all the basics. The beds were comfortable. There were lots of puzzles, books, games and pamphlets and maps about the Island. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a beautiful and comfortable place to stay

Husband, wife, and three small dogs enjoyed this South Pender cottage. For us the location was ideal - 2 min drive from restaurants and cafe at Poet's Cove and also close to great hikes by the ocean. We enjoyed using the propane BBQ and the dogs enjoyed the open yard and deck. The baseboard heaters kept us toasty in the cool nights and the bed was comfy with big fluffy pillows. Wifi is strong and reliable.Be aware that the host requests guests to remove their own garbage which you can dispose of for an 8-12 fee per bag at the Medicine Beach liquor store.

Lovely private cottage, cozy, well equipped and comfortable - and most importantly pet friendly. Host extremely accommodating and helpful as well. Nice to retire back to after a day of exploring Pender Island. Would not hesitate to recommend.

We spent two nights on South Pender at this adorable cottage. Everything was just right. The cottage was the perfect size, well-equipped, clean and bright. It has a lot of natural light and a great arrangement to take advantage of the big windows, but still felt very private. It rained our second day, so we built a fire to warm up and dry our stuff - the host had made sure we had plenty of wood and it was all set to go. We were completely charmed by this cottage and the island; Brigitte was an excellent host, even if we never had the chance to meet her. The stunning Brooks Point park is just a few clicks down the road. We can't wait to come back!

thoroughly enjoyed it

We had a lovely 5 nights and everything was exactly as we remembered from years ago. Highlights were watching deer, enjoying fires in the wood stove, and feeling ourselves relax in the quiet.

This property has everything needed for a quiet retreat. Comfy bed, cozy fire, and so much quiet. The proximity to Higgs Beach is a bonus. The distance to Vanilla Leaf Bakery was probably a good thing.

Enjoyed our time here in spring sunshine! Cabin is cute, cozy and clean. Super deck and outside green space ideal for our pup. Cabin is at the front of the owner's property but feels private. The trees have grown so water views are peek-a-boo. Recommend!

This property was just perfect for our visit on Pender. There were 3 of us and a dog, my 2 daughters slept in the loft and I in the downstairs bedroom. Brigitte was a wonderful host, very responsive and flexible with check in and out times which was greatly appreciated. We will be back!

The cottage was very cozy and had everything we needed. Brigitte was easy accessible and regularly asked if we needed anything. Excellent value for cost. It was sublimely quiet, nice and clean and close to several great walks to the shore. We loved watching snow fall past the huge windows and looking at the stars from the deck at night.

The cottage is very comfortable and cosy and we loved how quiet it is. We like to do a lot of our own cooking and the kitchen had everything we needed, all very clean and in excellent working order. Brigitte was attentive to our needs and very friendly and helpful.
