Cute 4 bed 2 bath cottage, short walk to shared road end dock.

This place is awesome! No details have been overlooked. Bed was super comfortable, as well as sheets, bedding, pillows, etc. nightstands, counter space, drawers…all plentiful. The kitchen is well stocked, which is super nice that you don’t have to run out to the store for those items. Great communication with host. Would definitely book again!

A well appointed, clean and accessible property. While we didn’t have time to take advantage of the fire pit, it looked inviting. Check-in process was smooth and the necessary items for a comfortable stay were all there. Thanks for having us! Ps. The sheets on our bed were so cute & soft.

This house is clean and cozy. The location was pretty nice for enjoying the lake. Access to the lake was in walking distance. There’s lots of room for all of us.

We had a great stay at this nice house! Lots of kitchen items. The only odd thing for us was that they did not provide towels and traveling from AZ, we had to buy towels and pack them to return home. Something we have not experienced before.

I used 'waterfront' in the search criteria so that I could check out a place where we could anchor our boat during summer vacation. This property has limited 'lake access' but is not a boat-friendly waterfront property.

Jillian was easily accessible, kind and patient. The house was clean and cozy and that is what made the stay so special. Time went way too fast. We hope to return next year. Joann

We used this house as our home base for the Halloween weekend at Higgins State Park where my son was staying with his family. It was a great relaxing place to come back to after our fun family filled day at the state park. We would love coming back and staying here again as my son frequently stays at the campground with his family.

Staying at the cottage was extremely pleasing. The cottage was just perfect, like Goldilocks, not too big, not too small, but just right. The proximity and access to Higgins Lake was again just right. On the morning of our departure, we were already discussing our return visit. All in all, Jillian and the cottage were perfect! Five golden stars !

Lots of room, comfortable beds, very clean, alot of outside seating, and very nice burn pit, very close and easy walk to the lake, very quiet neighborhood, made for great early morning and evening walks with our dog, had everything we would have needed in the kitchen, centrally located so was able to visit other cities within 1.5 hour drive, cannot say enough nice things about this cottage

Check-in and out went smoothly. Host was very responsive! House was very clean and stocked with everything you need. Amazing fire pit area! Deck was perfect for all meals had at the house. It was a great stay, would stay again!

Great cottage. The bedrooms are spacious. The kitchen is well-stocked with cooking equipment. We enjoyed the large bonfire pit and dining room table outside. Very clean overall.

Our family had a great time for a long weekend at the cottage. We did some kayaking on the Ausable River, fishing on the lake and spent lots of time around the fire pit. The house had a few quirks, but that is just a function of being an older house. It was very well maintained and clean and had plenty of beds for our extended family to sleep in. The owner provided clear instructions and was prompt with communication and responding to questions.

3 senior ladies.. we enjoyed the cottage..had breakfast in.. lunch either took orpur food for picnic at beach or ate out in Sutton bay. Only thing the ladies asked me to mention was the rugs in kitchen & bedroom next to bathroom…. The rugs are a Slip / trip hazard and we moved them during the stay & put them back. A rug is nice but one with rubber back that is stable would work better. we enjoyed it.. mah Jongg every night & the cottage stayed cool as it sits in the shade .

Nice location

The cottage is roomy with plenty of space for a group/family. Clean and comfortable, central air for the hot days. A large enough deck for sitting and eating. A great fire ring for gatherings. The lake is clean, clear and sandy! Can’t beat it!

Awesome fire pit! I wish they offered wash cloths and bat/beach towels, because they take up a space to pack. Otherwise everything else was wonderful.

This house was so clean and perfect. Pretty little neighborhood with a very nice road end dock for swimming and hanging out.

This is a nice 4 bedroom house walkable to Higgins lake. It is in a very quiet neighborhood. It has amazing water pressure in the showers. There is plenty of room for large groups. There is a large fire pit with plenty of seating. Firewood not supplied but you can buy it for 6 a bundle. No bath or hand towels. Shallow water for quite a ways out but very clear. Overall great place to stay.

Great spot with room to spare! Lots of space indoors and out. Close to the water. Great outdoor space as well!

Super fun

We frequent the Higgins Lake area a lot least 3x a year, staying in various rentals. We have never stayed in the same one more than once. This property will be our new favorite home to book. It’s centrally located close to sxs trails, close to the lake, so clean, fully stocked, with an amazing outdoor fire pit area. We had 2 families staying in the house. LOTS of beds with any and everything we could have needed. We loved the bathrooms. Not everyone in Michigan knows how to bathroom, but this property did. I don’t have a single negative thing to say. It was a perfect Memorial Day weekend. Thank you so much for hosting us! Can’t wait to book again!

Cabin is just as pictured! Lots of beds and works really well for a family trip.

My family said because of the flag and the house being big and white on the outside, that it looks like the whitehouse. Lol. It was so cure and cozy. Beds were amazing. Loved being there. Thanks Jillian!!

We had an amazing time in this very comfortable and cozy. The kitchen is loaded with almost everything you need. We brought so much extra stuff we did not need, there is even a crockpot! Beds were very comfortable. The fenced deck is wonderful for the dogs and babies. This was such a great place to unwind and reconnect. Thank you!

Everything as listed had a great time.

Everything was great except the parking. Had a great time, we went ice fishing and just hung out in the cabin. The amenities were great, they had everything we needed. The parking is on a steep incline and is enough for about 4 vehicles. I'd suggest 4x4 for the winter. Overall great experience.

Even though we went in the off season we still a relaxing week. I would like revisit during late summer or early fall and bring up are boat. Had lots of fun with the granddaughter in the snow.

The cottage is lovely. Exactly as represented. Well-maintained, well-stocked. We were able to make Christmas cookies, go sledding and make smores outside in the snow. Located just a short drive to Hartwick Pines for winter hiking. Easy check-in, excellent communication with host.check-in, great communication.

I was looking for a place to get away for a few days, where my college friends and my High School friends could meet and relax. You place was great for us We are all in our 70's and had a great time. My Colege friends were from Texas and my High School friends are from the Thumb area of Michigan , I am in Midland ,Michian Were stayed there for 4 days and 3 nights. I would recommend this house. It was a nice house & property. Plenty of room for 5 adults and 2 children. It was a good location to have a family get together.

The cottage was perfect for our two-night stay. It is cozy and charming and was decorated for the holiday season. We felt right at home!

Relaxing

We have come here 3years in a row and are never disappointed! This is a great property that is clean, has lots of beds, and a well stocked kitchen. We come for hunting so we are out in the woods a lot which is so peaceful and beautiful! The cottage is homey and a nice place to spend time!

We came here with our family for a long weekend and to catch some early fall colors. Perfect house for us! Very kid and dog friendly - with board games galore and a very nice gated deck. The fire pit area is large and has great seating options. Kitchen is the best stocked kitchen we’ve ever had. The beds were very comfortable. Hosts were very responsive and easy to get ahold of. 110% would recommend!

The property was exactly like the pictures. We enjoyed the off season stay, it was very quiet and peaceful. The kitchen was supplied very well. We did have a hard time figuring out how to open the windows but finally figured it out, lol. But definitely would stay again !!!!!!!
