The home is very quaint. It is a bit noisy on the interior due to the engineered materials used throughout the home. Slightly awkard property lot, with facing the small apartment complex, it makes the back patio and front porch seem less private, also obstructs a partial view. The bathroom design is also, just a bit different. Functional and modern or euro but kinda quirky due to layout. No mechanical/Structural issues with the home. Really enjoyed being at the base of a mountain, waking in the morning and as the sun set. A very serene scenery, and even being close proximity to many others, very quiet and peaceful. Close to the small town, and rt 58/Jeb Stuart run right through the center to bring you north to Abingdon, or south along the national forest edge. Plenty to see and do within 15-20mi, could of stayed a few days extra to enjoy localities. Would stay again and reccommend to anyone looking for a cozy stay amongst the Mountains.
This house has been designed with vacationers in mind. It had everything we needed to be comfortable and enjoy our visit. It is close to the center of town, but far enough out that its peaceful and quiet. Highly recommend!
This was an adorable cottage with a short distance from downtown Damascus. Very easy to get to all the shuttle/rental shops to ride the Creeper Trail. We had everything we needed, it was clean and well organized. Good parking, quiet neighborhood, fire pit, woods in back of the property so it felt private. This property is not handicap accessible, which could be improved by adding a ramp to the back patio maybe. Overall, we would definitely like to come back here again and explore more of the area.
We had a great stay at the Damascus rental. It was very clean and had what we needed. It's a very quiet area, and close to the town, hiking and biking trails. We were able to walk and bike to town and many of the trails right from our front door. Really enjoyed our stay.
This house is a gem, what a lovely find! I highly recommend it and will definitely stay here again. The location is perfect and the house is beautifully designed, clean, clutter-free, etc... The bike ride is amazing and we visited Grayson Highlands State Park as well for some hiking and to see the wild ponies, which we had one come right up to me and say Hello! Highly recommend the diner and the wings at Wicked Chicken Wing House (very good wings). Also loved the Damascus Brewery and the Distillery had wonderful drinks. Can't wait to come back again, I already miss it!
The place is in a bit of an unlikely spot. That is the only thing I could even think anyone could complain about because it is so great! The place is cute, stylish, functional, and comfortable. We loved it and highly recommend it. I would definitely stay there again.
This house is so nice! Probably one of the nicest rentals we’ve stayed in. It is decorated really well, so comfy, and clean. It is also close to town. The only downside was the area. It wasn’t horrible but a little rundown around the house. There was also trash along the tree line beside the house. With all that said, we loved Damascus and would stay in this house again.
Convenient quiet location in beautiful Damascus
The rental was very clean and lovely. It was supplied well with what we needed. Quiet neighborhood and walk-able to town and hiking and biking trails. There was a nice grocery store near there also, and a few nice cafe's.
Great location and nice place.
Clean, great communication with property manager. Beds were comfortable. It was great to have kcups for coffee in the mornings, enjoyed the table out back on the patio for dinner.Easy check out process, the only thing that could have been improved upon was having to figuring out where exactly to take the trash out to. But an easy text to the property manager solved that.
This house is located at the end of a neighborhood. It is so quiet you can hear a pin drop at night. Everything worked out well and Anya was prompt for any questions. We were very pleased at how comfortable and clean it was and really like the location b/c you are close to town, the Creeper Trail, AT etc. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the area and I would highly recommend visiting Damascus, because it is cute town and close to a lot of nice trails.
