What a charming cottage! It's a lovely place to stay when visiting the area, or a perfect little getaway for a weekend. It's quiet, it's very clean, and the view is outstanding. We had a herd of mule deer that visited us morning and evening, and that was nice. The outside of the cottage has a nicely located dining table, where we ate on sunny days, and a separate fire pit for sitting at night. There's a paved parking space for two cars, which made loading and unloading easy. In the cottage, everything is as it should be for a comfortable stay. We were able to cook a few meals for ourselves with no problems; there's adequate storage for ingredients and some of the basics in the cupboards for cooking. The owner was quite pleasant and available in his home nearby, but left us in privacy for the duration. It was a restful stay, a nice place to come back to after a day's sightseeing, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is accessible from a dirt road, common for homes in the Stevensville area, so be aware of that, but it is part of the charm of solitude. I highly recommend the Cozy Cottage for a relaxing and agreeable stay. Thanks for such lovely accommodations!

No better accommodation in Bitterroot Valley. Our second stay here. Off the main road, so no highway noise..just peace and quiet. Wildlife(birds and deer) abounds. centrally located in the valley so north and south features are easily accessed. Very private and clean as possible.

Quaint, cozy and quiet cottage, rural location with beautiful mountain views. Adequately stocked kitchen for simple meal preparation. The outdoor grill was especially nice-- we used it several times and dined every evening on the patio. Communication with host was excellent. Tim stopped by early in our start and gave us suggestions of things to see and do. The cottage access is few miles up a reasonably well maintained though dusty gravel road. Groceries, a few coffee shops, breweries and dining options about 6-7 miles away. Great home base to explore up and down the east edge of the Bitterroot Mountains. Numerous hiking trails within 30 miles. We saw deer on the property almost every day. The night sky was breathtaking. If you are looking for peace and quiet in a beautiful rural Montana setting, you will love it here as much as we did.

It was a bit of a challenge to find the property due to poor cell reception, but it was a joy to be there. Quiet, peaceful setting with a view of the Bitterroot mountains. The welcome committee was a pleasure to have around. Absolutely clean and comfortable. It was the perfect spot to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary. Access to the many recreational spots in the valley was wonderful and we enjoyed visiting an area of our beautiful state for the first time. Would gladly recommend this property to a couple or small group for a relaxing getaway. Thanks to hosts for the opportunity to stay with them.

We got there about 7:30 at night, after being at a memorial service for a family member. (Glad we scoped the place the day before) The first trip up there is something you want to do in the daylight, after that, it was an easy ride from Victor. the cottage was clean and cute very inviting. We slept well. The TV is a little weird for us city folks LOL. But we only watched it at night. Went down the hill every day to see family. the view is nice patio was great. We were going to BBQ but those plans got changed. Bring your food if you plan on cooking breakfast and stuff. Stores are close though. Will do it again if we get up there and can't stay with family. Very pleasant.

Great spot in the foothills, out of the hubub but not so far from restaurants, grocery etc. Attentive and low key host, personable, good suggestions on local places. Super outdoor sitting area. High quality finish inside but a little sparse on kitchen ware if you're doing any meals in.

The stay at this lovely cottage in Stevensville was fabulous. The location was remote but easy to get around with shops and quaint restaurants. Tim the host was very friendly, even checked on us after our first nights stay. It was cool to see the deer all around the area. I highly recommend this and would come back when visiting Montana.

Only thing that disappointed me was the hideabed. But, what can I say. Hideabeds aren't made for comfort. We needed the 2nd bed because I have restless leg syndrome and also use a c-pap machine. Instructions were pretty clear, almost intimidating. It wasn't clear to me where the boundries wer for walking on the property. The bldg. above was a mystery.
