Cozy Beach Cottage - Walking distance to the Beach!!

Great stay!!

Great location for the beach and nearby dining and grocery. Couldn’t be more happy with our stay here.

Very nice property - homey and comfortable. I never received check in or check out instructions via email. When we arrived we had to contact Vrbo because we contact the property manager to request the door passcode. When he didn’t respond we had to contact Vrbo to intervene. When he finally responded he didn’t even apologize. The night before checkout we requested check out instructions via text but he never responded. This lack of communication made check in and check out stressful. It took away from the enjoyment of our stay. We won’t use this property again.

Our family loved staying here. The floor plan is a little quirky, but that just comes from adding on to what began as a small house and actually adds to the charm. Functionally, it was just fine. The house was clean and well supplied with essentials, and the beds were comfortable. The garage is loaded with beach equipment as well. The location close to the beach (easy walking distance) was really nice, though it rained on us every day we were here. ;) Also close by was First Landing State Park and their beautiful trails, and many great restaurants. A grocery store was just around the corner too. My wife and I also thought the many post-it notes around the house with helpful tips were a nice, friendly touch. With our daughter living in Virginia Beach, this won't be our last trip to the area and this house will be a the top of our list of places to stay again.

We needed a local getaway while our hardwood floors were being refinished, and this property was perfect for us and our pets. The property was well stocked with necessities. One of our favorite things was the short walk to the beach to watch the sunset. If we ever need another local getaway, we will definitely use and recommend this property.

Try well appointed, comfortable home

This property is as advertised - comfortable home in a quiet neighborhood with almost immediate beach access. The house has modern upgrades, comfortable beds, and a very well-stocked kitchen including utensils, coffee options, and a good variety of cooking staples and household supplies (spare light bulbs, switch blocks, etc). Bathrooms were clean; good plumbing and soap/shampoo dispensers in both showers. We had no issues with the door locks, wifi, dishwasher/washing machine, gas grill, or other amenities. Location-wise you can't ask for much better on the northern side of Virginia Beach - 5 minutes to First Landing State Park, 20 to the oceanfront, and near-instant walking access to a great stretch of beach where you can walk for a solid hour plus in either direction. We stayed with dogs and the property is well-suited for them, but be aware that the yard is fenced along the back and sides of the house but not gated, so you won't want to let pups run free in the backyard unless they have excellent recall. The street isn't busy; you can hear a bit of traffic from Shore Drive in the front room sitting area, but the bedroom was perfectly quiet all night. The only thing I might suggest is more silverware - we ran out of forks after a couple of meals. We stayed over Christmas and the house was tastefully decorated including a lit tree, which was a wonderful backdrop to our family Christmas dinner. Thank you for a great stay!

Great stay for our family’s wedding celebration! Loved how close it was to the beach and First Landing State Park. The house had everything you could need and great character!

The house was clean and well stocked. The location was a very nice street with 40 yard walk to the beach access without the need to cross any busy streets. Plenty of shopping very close by.

Cottage had all the comforts of home! We loved the beach cart to tote our granddaughter and beach toys. Host was extremely responsive. Definitely recommend!

We loved this cottage - we were as comfortable as if we were in our own home. When we come back to Va Beach to visit our family hopefully there will be availability for us to stay here.

Check-in was very easy. We had everything we needed in the kitchen.

Third time staying here, location is great especially with a toddler. Just load up the wagon and roll half a block to the beach.

Highly recommend this cozy beach cottage. It's a short walk to the beach and in a nice beach community. The house was nicely updated and the cottage met all of our needs. Hope to stay again in the future.

Steps from the beach, this property was well equipped with many extras in addition to the more than ample supplies for the kitchen and bath. Clean, roomy and quaint with great space for our large family dinners. Great front porch and yard. Our go-to rental for future visits to Va Beach!

Great stay at this house in Va Beach with our dog. The house was clean, welcoming and comfy. It was well stocked for all of our needs and the proximity to a quiet beach along the Chesapeake is something that can’t be beat. Also, it was very close to a variety of great restaurants and lots of hiking options in First Landing State Park. We will be back!!

The cottage was indeed cozy and very nice for our family of 4 plus dog. The beach is steps away. We enjoyed hikes in the First Landing State Park. It was also nice to be able to walk to the nearby Food Lion for those things we forgot to bring.

Recently stayed here and love the location and this house. We’ll be back!!!!

The property is conveniently located near the ocean and situated in a quiet neighborhood although very near plenty to do. In particular, I really enjoyed walking a cycling on the trails just a block or two from the house. Having access to the garage was very nice. The house is clean, simple, and was comfortable for our family. Thanks!
