The Mermaid was a lovely cottage in a lovely location. We especially liked the fact that it was pet friendly. Our dog Sarge absolutely loved watching the fish in the fish pond. And the huge old oaks on the property are priceless.

This was everything that was promised. Single traveler in my 50s and felt safe. The grounds are obviously well cared for. Absolutly would stay again and suggest it to others. Totally relaxed.

Was hard to believe this little tropical paradise was so close to restaurants, shops, and the beaches. It truly was a relaxing oasis for our trip to Florida. Loved the pool and feeding the turtles and fish in the pond. We will definitely stay here again.

We absolutely loved this cottage, the grounds, the pool and the overall location. It was like a hideaway oasis in the middle of the city!!

This cottage is a hidden gem. Pushed far back on the property, you are immune to the sounds of traffic and feel like you are in a tropical paradise. The pool and jacuzzi area felt like key west. The cottage is the PERFECT size for a romantic couple retreat. I could not have been happier with the serenity of the pond, the privacy of the pool and hot tub area and the cottage.

Beautiful property. Just off the beaten path enough to be secluded and feel like you are in a remote tropical hideaway. Surprisingly quiet and yet close to downtown Dunedin and the beaches.The pool area is an absolute dream, a very relaxing area to chill out for a few hours.

We absolutely loved our stay here!The pool area was a tropical paradise (just wish the pool had been heated)! It was so relaxing and peaceful. Our unit was beautifully decorated and very comfortable.The location was perfect for us - Dunedin is a quaint little town, close to Clearwater, but off the beaten path.

You would never know this little paradise was right off of the street. So well kept , and our cottage was spotless and gave us everything we needed for our 10 day stay. Lori and Gary were wonderful (and my husband knew Gary and hasn’t seen him for years…a great reunion). We will, definitely, go back there, without a doubt. A wonderful place, relaxing, stress free, and overall, the best.

This place was absolutely amazing. It has beautiful plants, Jacuzzi, swimming pool... everything to make you feel like you're in the tropical.

Secluded but in town. Beautiful grounds. Close to all local activities. The cottage was great, very well decorated and comfortable. Would love to make a return visit.

As described and reviewed. Enjoyed the tropical setting. Pool was shaded, clean and refreshing. Hot tub was clean, relaxing and well maintained. Fish pond was amazing. Saw a white Egret(bird) at the fish pond upon arrival. We got settled in and were relaxing on the front porch, pond within feet away. Found fish food container on our table. Sprinkled some around the pond. No fish appeared. Next day we went about town. We found a fish store and bought 20 gold fish at 48 cents each. Put them in pond when we got back. Probably should have asked first, but we are a pond owner also. We put a little food in for them. After a few minutes the food had spread across the pond. Then, in a moment, the pond erupted with many many fish! The first night they stayed at the bottom because of the bird. Anyway, it was a great place to chill and wind down. Plenty of beautiful beach n things to do. The owners were great and made sure everything was there for you to chill and enjoy. Great job by all who make this place special.

The cottage was lovely and surrounding landscaping was beautiful and peaceful. Really enjoyed our stay the property and restaurants we will be back. another visit in the future.

The property is everything the description and photos depict. Grounds are like staying in a piece of paradise. The Mermaid cottage is furnished with period furniture and the bedroom looks out over the beautiful lagoon pool patio. We were not wanting for anything more during our stay. Our host was very responsive. The location was perfect for short rides into town. Parking on the property was plentiful.

We had such a pleasant experience staying in the Mermaid cottage. The property is just lovely, and relaxing. Our cottage was spotless and had everything you needed. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Do not hesitate in booking here, you’ll love it!

Beautiful property! Close to downtown Dunedin, shopping, restaurants, beaches, etc., but felt like you are a million miles away because of the lush tropical landscape. Accommodations are well appointed with everything you need for a wonderful getaway.
