Cottage on Lake Michigan across from Grand Haven State Park.

Had a wonderful stay in this awesome cottage overlooking the beach in Grand Haven. Host was awesome and very helpful during the stay. House was filled with amenities, games and activities for the whole family. Our 18 month old granddaughter just loved the space both inside the house and outside on the huge deck overlooking the beach. We enjoyed the huge CD collection and dancing to the music for hours!

My husband and I came to Abbi’s cottage to rest and relax. It was exactly what we needed. The cottage is absolutely a perfect place to stay….the location and the view are outstanding. Everything from beds to furniture were comfy. Anything you could want or need was there to use which made our stay so nice. Plenty of places to walk and lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. A pure joy for us to find. Thanks, Abbi for being such a wonderful host!

Something for everyone to do. The dogs loved it too. Lots of private areas in the property for a quiet get away to read, play cornhole on the deck or watch tv. Ideal for the festival.

Real close to the beach, walking distance to everything, Everything was provided from toothbrushes to some frozen pizza in case we didnt want to shop the day we checked in. Communication was excellent will definitely stay again.

This was, simply put, one of the most impressive and memorable places we’ve stayed on vacation. My 8-year-old son, my wife and my mom were all blown away by it — starting with the views. From the back patio, the living room, even the bedrooms, we had a nearly panoramic view of Lake Michigan. We spent hours sitting outside watching the boats pass by, revelers on the beach and the famed Grand Haven sunsets without needing to leave. We could walk across the street to the beach, bypassing parking fees and waits in line when things got crowded. Downtown shops and restaurants were minutes away by car, or could be reached with a short walk. The location could not be beat, though the amenities and cozy touches inside the home were close. Multiple smart TVs, plus an epic record and CD collection, kept us all entertained on the one rainy night we had. Abbi was an incredible host, having everything impeccably clean for our arrival. She even had frozen pizzas stocked in case we were too tired to cook or go out to eat. We left all agreeing that it was a magical trip. Our only hope is to make it back to Up-A-Wae soon.

The property was great, the outside looks just like a regular home but when you walk in it reminds you of being in a wooded cottage, a beautiful one! We had a little trouble the first night finding the place as the address shows the home on S Harbor but you actually have to drive up a cove off Elliot st. We called the property owner and despite it being past midnight she was quick to answer and give me detailed instructions on how to get to the house. Once we found it we were in love. The property has an amazing record collection my dad fell in love with, my son loved the games they had out for us along with the beautiful deck that looks out over the Lake, Its the perfect spot to eat and watch the sunset. The property was very clean and had everything you might need for a week away. The place is very close to the state park and was a couple min walk to the pier and lighthouse. We loved the property and would definitely stay again!

The view, the view, the view!!! We loved our stay at Up-A-Wae Cottage. Everything was better than described and extremely clean. Abbi was a great host and went out of her way to ensure that we had everything we needed. There was plenty of everything, towels, kitchen and bathroom essentials, etc. The cottage is so comfy and cozy and wonderfully located to really experience Lake Michigan and the Lighthouse. Can't say enough about the view. We'll be back!
