We needed a quiet place to arrive and get used to the time zone. It was fabulously quiet and a lovely space to be in. Quaint and quirky. The hosts were accommodating and friendly. Note that the kitchen is a bit minimal so best to check on facilities before deciding what to buy for dinner.

I needed a quiet place to stay as my husband unexpectedly had a stroke while on holiday from NZ. He was in Salisbury hospital only 2 miles away.

We were at Hillside in the log cabin for two nights- before and after a family wedding. The accommodation suited the 5 of us well- even though we are all adults and one of our party was extremely tall.

Nice quite location had to walk to the next village to eat as the pub next to the property was closed on a Monday. We were in the log cabin which was a family size so plenty of room. The air conditioner worked, which was a good think being so hot, although the one in the living room has a broken pipe. Breakfast is left in the room so it self service if a bit limited.

Long weekend, so ideally placed for trips to attractions and Salisbury. Stayed in the cabin - it was clean, nicely proportioned, comfortable with full amenities.

My family visited Hillside the last weekend of half term and let me tell you, it was exactly what my family loves. We stayed in the wooden lodge based in the beautiful garden. This accommodation has everything that is needed for comfortable stay, kitchen is well equipped and hosts leave some snacks for your arrival. This was actually really life saving because we drove from London on Friday night and all I wanted was a nice cuppa, so you can only imaging how happy I was to find mill in the fridge ! We were left to our own devices but the host were just second away if we needed them, but we never did because we were provide with all a family should need on holiday. Do not let me stop in here, the garden was beautiful. Reminded me of my grandmother gardens. Many places to have a meal outside, host provided two tables for that. You wake up to sounds of nature, no traffic, no sounds of an ambulance (we live in London next to the hospital) just tranquility..... and the lovely smell of a country side. We used it as a base for road trips to Weymouth, Durdle Door and Longleat. Salisbury is about 5 minute rive away. We will be definitely returning soon ! Thank you hosts for amazing stay !
