We had a great week at Anne’s cottage. The weather was incredible and the location was fantastic. We spent a very relaxing week doing pretty much nothing, other than enjoying the sunshine on the dock, swimming and even catching a 9lb pickerel. You can tour so many of the islands in about an hour and it’s a quick 4 minute boat ride in to Gananoque to pick up whatever you might need or get a very cheesy pizza at Milano’s. Such a beautiful and peaceful spot for a relaxing vacation. The cottage is quaint, lots of room, very clean, nice big windows, everything you need. Anne is right there and great if you need anything or have questions but lets you enjoy your vacation. Sunsets are beautiful. A great week indeed!
Great spot in the Thousand Islands close to town, restaurants and fuel on the river. Quite, comfortable and exactly as pictures on site. No air conditioning but evenings were cool and fans in bedrooms. Anne was an excellent host.
Every year my brother and my two sons go on a fishing trip. We were looking for a cabin that would accommodate 4 adults and two bass boats for a week of fishing the St Lawrence River. The cottage fit the bill for what we were looking for. Anne our host was fantastic and attentive to our needs. Being located on an island, she made sure we had all of the basic items (bottled water, paper products, bedding and towels, etc. The only negative and it is not enough to remove a star is it would have been nice to have more light in the kitchen area for cooking after the sun went down. Otherwise, great cabin for a week of fishing on the St. Lawrence River.
I came up to Anne’s cottage with a few friends. There was lots of room for all of us to stay which was great! Anne communicated with us throughout the stay and was very helpful! Would definitely come again - the island was beautiful!
I have been to Hay Island many times before, but this was our first time staying here. We will be back! The place was great.
Spent weekend here with my wife. Host was very great communicating water levels in the week leading up to our stay, and met us at the dock at check in time. She was available all weekend at her cottage next door if we needed anything, but everything we needed including extra fans, blankets and BBQ equipment was easy to find. The water surrounding the dock is very shallow, especially during our stay so if you have anything bigger than a bowrider you might not be able to stay at this location. TV was available with DVD player and great view of the stars and sunset. Looking forward to staying again in the future.
We stayed at this property for almost a week. The property had all the amenities required for a long term stay. You only need to bring food. Beds were comfortable and clean. The outside seating area and BBQ are a bonus to enjoy the river view and outdoors. It is a great location and easy access from Gananoque and the Thousand Islands by boat.
Anne is amazing! The cottage is amazing! the dock for your boat is amazing! Very quiet….rooms a good size kitchen has everything you need….. for the group of 6 adults no issues what so ever…. Great shower as well…. Really good shade outside nice big deck… every morning we took the chairs down to the end of the dock and had coffee! It was perfect! Boating in the thousand islands is one of the best places to boat in the world and this location is excellent!
Property was exactly as described - it’s a cottage and that’s what we wanted. Anne met us at the dock and gave us the tour . She was very welcoming and knowledgeable of the area. We would definitely recommend to others as wel we would stay again!!
Our family loved this little getaway. I could not believe all the extras provided I normally bring board games, beach towels, extra blankets, the works but there is no need. Anne is an amazing hostess and the cottage was spotless. It is also much bigger than the pictures suggest. We are looking forward to returning next summer!
We rented this property for a weekend in July and our experience was amazing! Anne was there on arrival to the island to get us settled it and the cottage had everything we needed to enjoy a comfortable stay. We will surely be coming back next year!
This cottage is only a 5 minute boat ride to the public dock in Gananoque. It provides easy access to town and a terrific launch pad to the glorious 1000 Islands playground. The cottage is very comfortable and the dock is sturdy. We spent lots of our time boating around the islands, fishing, and hiking the trails on the government islands. Great spot for a vacation.
