Stayed Jun 9, 2023This is a little haven of wildlife and flowers if you come in June. The host Christo lives at the back of the house and appears with treats of apricots and home made muesli. He is a warm generous host who likes to look after his guests. The house feels homely and lived in. The nearest beach is a short walk and mostly there would be only a couple of other people there. Essential to have a car to explore and pick up supplies from supermarket. The perfect place if you like peace and countryside.

Stayed Jun 26, 2022We rented Chris’s house for most of the summer, and it was the best vacation we’ve ever had. Chris is one of the most welcoming, generous people we’ve ever met, and our stay did not feel like a property rental - it felt like we had discovered a favorite uncle we never knew about, and came to stay with him for the summer. We arrived to a rental car waiting at the airport for us (which Chris arranged with a friend at an excellent rate), and Chris met us at the Moudros port to show us the way home and pick up the dinner he had ordered for us! When we got to his house, we found a fully stocked kitchen in a beautiful home with traditional stone and wood architecture, sitting in the middle of the most wonderful garden full of flowers and fruit trees - apricots, plums, pears, figs, pomegranates and more. The house was spotlessly clean (the sheets were even ironed!), and had beautiful views of the Aegean Sea from the windows and balcony. We spent mornings sitting up on the balcony, drinking coffee, listening to the birds, and looking at the sea. It’s in a very quiet area with few neighbors, so it was always very peaceful. The nearest beach is beautiful, has a beach bar and umbrellas, and is less than a 10 minute walk from the house. Chris has an attached unit in the back of the house (we had plenty of privacy), and we could ask him questions, get advice about places to visit, and just socialize anytime. He helped translate for us, and spent most of a morning helping me navigate the postal system to mail something back to the US. He stopped by every morning with a treat for us - homemade soup, pancakes, eggs from his free range hens, fruit from his garden, or local baked goods, and often invited us to have lunch or dinner with him (he’s an excellent cook!) and his family and friends. We have 4 children, and they LOVE Chris, who was exceptionally welcoming, introducing them to his clan of friendly outdoor cats, teaching them how to milk his goats, helping them collect eggs from his chickens, showing them how to make cheese and homemade ice cream, and allowing them to roam freely on his property where they could run around and play safely. Lemnos is beautiful, with beaches that rival the Caribbean, small villages and delicious tavernas, and wild fruit trees lining the roads. The only drawback to our stay was that, eventually, we had to leave - but now we’ve made a good friend and can't wait to come back as soon as possible!

Stayed Jun 22, 2021I spent two weeks together with my wife and my two kids (2 and 4) in Chris' cottage. We came here, because we wanted to have a quiet holiday far away from the masses, and we chose Chris' house in particular because of the favorable reviews. We were not disappointed, quite to the contrary: it's a very special place. Everything is relaxed: the cats, the dog, bees are humming, cicadas chirp, the host sometimes passes by, brings some fresh eggs and a friendly chat. No sounds of cars, just the sound of the wind. The flowers were in full blossom (it was June) and the trees generated enough shadow in order to spend a refreshing after-lunch sleep below them (there's also a space outside for a matrace, in case you want to spent your night outside). Although the cottage is in a rather remote part of the island, it is nevertheless a good hub to discover the medium-sized island; the capital, at the opposite side of the island is 35 minutes away by car. Not to speak of the various beautiful beaches, which are virtually everywhere. My sons were very happy to feed the cats - and one of the cat is now named after him (Lorenz) - a fact that makes him quite proud ;-) Thank you, Chris, for your hospitality and kindness. We will always hold this vacation in our best memories!

Stayed Oct 5, 2019Christo's place is perfect to spend a wonderful and relaxing holiday on Lemnos. The house is very spacious and really fully equipped. It is nicely situated in a secluded and quiet area surrounded by fields and surrounded by flowers and fruit and vegetable plants. Due to the remote location a wheeled vehicle is advisable in any case. Christo's hospitality is unique and it is a great pleasure to spend an evening or two with him for an exciting chat and dinner. His 3 dogs are extremely lovable and are happy to accompany you on a short walk to the beautiful beach. We enjoyed the time very much and will definitely come again. Sylvia & Rainer

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Perfect. Christo was a kind, generous and supportive host. His home has everything you need to make your stay happy and comfortable. It is a place to go to gain a sense of harmony with the natural world. Location-wise it is a short walk to a sandy beach, where we enjoyed swimming, sometimes before breakfast, daytime's, sunset and by moonlight. Moudros, a short drive away, has plenty of shops and a good bakery. Ice creams too! Totally recommend this stay and would love to go again.

Stayed Aug 5, 2017We just had an amazing stay at Christo's traditional Greek stone villa and I warmly recommend this location for anyone looking to explore the authentic Greek lifestyle, in a very quite and green area, with amazing view of sea and sunsets. We were a party of 8 - 6 adults and 2 children, one 3 year old and the other 9 year old. Christo is just an extraordinary host, overwhelming us with gifts and small signs of just making us feel very welcomed - hot food freshly cooked on our arrival (even though because of the ferry schedule we arrive at 2 o'clock in the night!!), fresh eggs from his chickens, fresh goat cheese, traditional greek wine, very sweet organic figs - in large quantities :-) and traditional lemon sweet pie. We were welcomed with so much hospitality and we felt at home for our entire 2 week stay. The children had an excellent time, exploring the green area at their pace and playing with 3 dogs and 4 cats :-). The stone villa is like a poetry, with every corner having a story to tell. And Limnos is a large island with many interesting things to be seen. I especially enjoyed the sunsets in Havouli beach which is just 15 min walk from the house. Tranquility, peace, harmony...I recommend this place for those looking for a holiday like this :-).

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Our vacation in Lemnos, in Christos' house, has really been perfect. The description of the house is 100% corresponding to reality. The house is very large, spacious, and fully furnished. The kitchen in particular has almost everything, and allowed me to prepare a couple of cakes. The building is not too hot, thanks to winds, water is abundant, and in one word we felt at home. The house is in the country, and a nice sandy beach is about 15 min walk (or 2 min drive) from it. The closest villags is Moudros, which has shops, bars, restaurants etc., and is about 10 min drive from the house. Christos, eventually, is really a special person. He has been a perfect guest, gave us many attentions and niceties, without invading our spaces. He helped us in more than one occasions, and gave us many useful advices and suggestions. In synthesis: if I'll go back to Limnos next year, no doubt I'll go to Christos' house!
