Cottage by the Caverns *FIRE PIT* *MOUNTAIN VIEWS*

Cosy and well equipped house, plenty of space and good location for the nearby caverns.

It was overall a good stay. The property could use a good deep clean-Dust bunnies under the beds, walls were dirty, and 2 of the 3 beds had questionable spots on the sheets which made us concerned if they were actually laundered. The house was cute and perfect for what we were needing. Host was responsive to messages.

The house was a great place to stay. I really liked the decor and everything was clean. I also really liked having a closed in yard for my mini poodle. He enjoyed it. The Luray area is beautiful so we really enjoyed our visit.

Our Host was very responsive and flexible, the home was well equipped, clean, and had plenty of room and conveniences to make our stay excellent.

We loved our stay over NYE and the town of Luray had a great fireworks celebration. The dogs loved the backyard!

What a great stay! The property is beautiful, comfortable, and as listed. We had a hiccup opening the door when we first arrived but our host responded immediately and we had no issues afterwards. If we visit Luray again, we definitely hope to stay here.

The house was incredibly clean and easy to access. The backyard was a lovely space for our dog to explore. Our 4 year old son absolutely loved the firepit and making s’mores.

Host was very welcoming and kept me informed throughout the process. They provided recommendations of places to eat and breweries nearby!

Check in process and communication was smooth. HOWEVER, big issues with cleanliness and house flies. There were at least 13-14 house flies inside the first night that we got rid of. Secondly everything was dirty and covered with dust and white hair. Stains on couch and chairs. The bed sheets were similarly covered in dust and white hair. Towels had stains. We actually washed the towels before using them. After I reported it the owners/managers said they would have the linens changed. When we returned after the day out all the linens were exactly as we had left them. The ironing Stains was crooked and unsteady. This was our first and likely last booking with vrbo. The owners were responsive which I appreciate but unfortunately failed to deliver on basic cleanliness.

Cozy space with UTD appliances and well maintained

We enjoyed the location as we were mainly visiting Shenandoah National Park and it was an easy drive to one of the entrances, at Thornton's Gap. That being said, there were also things to visit and do in Luray like the Luray Caverns- a must see. The cottage was clean and well suited for our needs as we cooked dinner meals a few nights during our stay. Having the fire pit and outdoor area for the evening was a bonus. The hosts communicated quickly.

Stayed 4 nights. Clean, well appointed, great location. All was all it was cracked up to be and we wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Host was absolutely amazing! I asked for some suggestions regarding hiking and got a quick response with an amazing list of hikes , this near the property, and restaurants. Then I was confused about check out (my fault not their’s) and got another immediate response with super clear instructions. The property was great, the distance to restaurants and coffee were a bit off but nothing that was problematic. Highly recommended!

The house is beautifully decorated and so comfortable. There were some games and puzzles for the kids and a cozy backyard to have a bonfire. Communication was easy and responses were quick. Definitely recommend!

This is a cute property with great proximity to Shenandoah National Park. The house had everything needed. The property owners provided excellent communication to make sure evertything was nice! Our time there was wonderful.

This house is great! It was very clean and well maintained. The owners provided some essentials to start our stay, which was so kind. The house looks just as it does online. It is in a great location.

The home was perfect for our quick family getaway. It was just as pictured, very clean, and had everything we needed. I think our favorite part of the whole trip was hanging out in the backyard on our last night - the big maple tree provided so much shade in the hot afternoon and the string lights were a nice touch while we made s'mores in the firepit at night. There's a great paved and divided pedestrian trail across the street that was perfect for taking the dog out for a walk in the morning and would be great for little ones too. Also, the hosts were excellent communicators. We would absolutely stay there again!

My family of four loved staying at Cottage by the Caverns. My sons could each have their own room, and all of our beds were comfortable. I cooked one meal there, and the kitchen had everything I needed. My husband and I enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the mornings with our coffee while watching the birds.The house was easy to find, and it was close to Luray Caverns and the different restaurants we went to. I would recommend this place to others.

Mom and I went on a short overnight trip to Luray and this house was perfect! It was clean and the beds were comfortable. When we got there the electronic door lock wouldn’t let us in. Sent Stephanie a message and she responded within 10 minutes and reset it! Would definitely recommend due to the house being outside of town to avoid any noise but still close enough to get to town and the caverns.

The house was clean with a nice backyard for family of four to enjoy. The local playground was a bonus and all the Luray features were super close.

Our family of four had an absolutely wonderful stay at Cottage by the Caverns. Excellent communication from owners. Home was perfect size for us and appointed with everything we needed for our 5-day stay. Less than a mile from downtown Luray, which is lovely small town with several great eating spots and shops... and also easy access to several points along the Skyline. We hope to return and would absolutely stay here again!

This home is just lovely and is in a great location. Neighbors are friendly and I had to call AAA for a flat tire and the local tow truck driver was an earth angel. Can't wait to stay here again!

We had a long weekend visit to Luray and the central Shenandoah Valley and this was the perfect spot to stay. Beautiful, well maintained accommodations. We loved it.

This is close to the thornton gap entrance. With the shades open, it's a very sunny house. The house is right in the town of Luray, so you're close to your neighbors, but they're quiet. If possible, the owners should put a curtain in front of the front glass door.

We had an amazing stay at this very well decorated 3-bdrm house. The home was as advertised and was everything we needed for a relaxing stay. My family and I rented this property to experience the winter holiday away from our home. We wanted to enjoy something different, something cozy enough that will allow us to focus on family, and that's exactly what this cottage did for us.The kitchen was fully stocked with all the utensils, plates, bowls, cups, and mugs we needed. Plus, there were a few pots and pans we used to cook nightly dinners through the week.The bedrooms were comfortable with memory foam mattresses, and each room had its own charm. The first two bedrooms share a full hallway bathroom, while the master suite has it's own full bathroom. In the master bathroom is a washer/dryer combo for your use. **Notes: The only way to the backyard is through the master bedroom. Heating is uneven throughout the house. It's warmer in the master bedroom than the rest of the home.**The location is choice as it’s just a short drive to Luray Caverns, Skyline Drive, and the adventurous, winding VA State Route 211. We really enjoyed the peaceful outdoor space with the fire pit, eating chili around the fire.The host was incredibly responsive and thoughtful, providing us with all the info we needed and even recommending local spots to check out. Highly recommend this property for anyone looking to explore the Shenandoah Valley or just enjoy a peaceful retreat.

Great weekend stay at the Cottage! The cottage is in a great location, easily walkable to shops and restaurants. Also, in close proximity to lots of great hikes. All of the decor is updated and stylish, and accounts for everything you would need to have a cozy weekend with friends or family.

We visited Luray, the Caverns, and Shenandoah NP. Property is really nice, clean, comfortable, and located near grocery stores and restaurants. We felt completely safe. Beautiful, private back yard with seating and fire pit. It had everything we needed. Enjoyed the AC heating system. Great TV in family room. Quiet at night. Previous renters haven’t been kind to some of the walls in the property. Host was very nice and accommodating.

A friend and I spent a long weekend here. The house was clean, well-furnished, and in easy walking distance to downtown Luray. Tyler and Stephanie were very responsive to the few questions we had. A great place to stay for anyone in the area!

We had a lovely stay in Tyler's home. It was perfect for my husband and I and our two adult children. It was conveniently located to Luray Caverns and Shenandoah Park, as well as grocery stores and restaurants. I especially liked the updated finishes, large kitchen, washer and dryer and the fenced back yard with fire pit and charcoal grill. Tyler was very quick to respond to any questions I had. I would definitely stay again. Minor gripe would be the back bedroom lacked any storage for clothing and had a tiny bedside table. Also a couple more bath towels would've been great!

This place was REALLY nice. Beautiful outdoor space with fenced yard. Perfect for us and our dog. Everything you need was there. Quiet neighborhood and close to Luray Caverns (5-10 min) and Shenandoah National Park Thornton Gap entrance (15 min).

Walkable parks and playgrounds, an easy drive into town or to the caverns, and we enjoyed a magical sunset around the fire in the backyard! My son can't wait to go back.

This was the perfect size for our family and grandparents for a weekend stay. The house looks like it does in the photos, it was very clean. The location was right near the caverns and Jellystone which was exactly what we needed! Also a great playground nearby with a beautiful view of the mountains. Tyler was easy to connect with. We had a snafu with check-in/the smart lock didn't like us but he was on it. It really was a great location for a young family. The only thing I would share is that there are a few stairs leading up to the house from the gravel driveway (pictured, so I knew about it before booking) There are none inside which is great. Just in case you or someone you love cannot use steps or has difficulty. It was a bit challenging for my older parents because they have mobility issues. Overall, it was a lovely weekend celebrating our son's birthday and Tyler was a very responsive host.

This house had everything we needed for a quick getaway at Shenandoah NP. Nicely furnished, comfy beds, great backyard and front porch, quiet neighborhood. Ours was a small group, but this place would be great for up to three couples.
