I stayed at Cottage #2 in Shingletown Bigfoot Camping. It was a quaint, quiet, and cozy stay. If you’re looking for 5-star hotel conditions, this isn’t the place for you (yes, the old wood floors do squeak a bit!). But if what you want is a peaceful, inviting, and restful getaway, this little cottage might be just right. It was perfect for us — we cooked simple meals, relaxed in the living room by the wood stove, and explored the beautiful surroundings, including Lassen Volcanic National Park. Truly magical.

Order structure, quaint with creaky floors. The AC kept up with the very hot days just fine with fans to cool bedrooms. I'd suggest strong grab bars in the bathroom, it was difficult to use the beautiful clawfoot Rob with our creaky knees. Solid window coverings would be awesome, the blinds let in tons of light to the bedrooms.

We absolutely loved our stay at Bigfoot Lodging Cottage #2 It’s a very authentic cabin in the woods experience. The original vintage wood interior and squeaky wood floors added a lot to the ambiance. Plenty of outdoor space for grilling steaks or making campfire s’mores. The grounds are fun and funky with lots of interesting things to see including a pond and creek. The family that runs it is warm and accommodating with a small store that sells drinks and snacks. Just a short drive to Lassen. We would definitely stay here again.

Home was a tight fit for our family of 6. It is located in a campground. Easy access to northwest entrance (near Manzanita Lake) of Lassen NP.

More than I ever would have expected. Beautiful setting. Lovely cottage with all the amenities. Walk right out the front door into beautiful wooded areas and nearby stream and waterfall. Folks were friendly, knowledgeable, and caring. I hope to return someday soon.

Had a quick weekend trip and the place was cozy with a fire waiting for us. Near places for young kids to sled. Dog friendly as well.

What is not disclosed or described is that Cabin #2 is in the middle of a KOA-type campground plus a lot of extra parked trailers, heavy equipment, what appeared to be abandoned automobiles, yurts...Not at all what the pictures represent. The cabin itself is quaint with VERY Loudly squeaky slanted floors. The bed sheets had a lot of human hairs and appeared to have been slept in. When I found someone from the store to talk to they were very willing to exchange the sheets.
