This is a traditional, modest kiwi bach (crib) and Lake Hawea is a quiet spot, perfect for relaxing and getting away from the hustle and bustle. You can enjoy breathtaking walks along the lake and great sunsets. An 18 minute drive from Wanaka township, which is filled with cafe's, restaurants, a cinema, shops and supermarkets. The bach is 50 mins from Cardrona and Treble cone, two of the best ski locations in New Zealand.

Stayed Dec 30, 2025We enjoyed our 5 day stay in this cute, cozy bach! We had everything we needed for cooking, the bedding was very comfortable and we all slept well here. Beautiful scenery can be viewed right outside every window. The hosts were responsive, although we had no issues come up. We even had a beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers on arrival. The lavender and honeysuckle bushes lining the entrance were an added fragrant treat.
