Contemporary Tacoma Cottage w/ Deck & Pond!

Our host Barbara was charming and so welcoming.

My family and I stayed at this property for four nights and enjoyed the beautifully designed cottage, spacious kitchen, large bathrooms, and peaceful views of the pond from the porch. We also appreciated the full-size washer and dryer. Barbara, the owner, made us feel welcome to her cottage which is in a private family compound. The main section of the guest cottage is the large open kitchen and eating area. Our family didn't miss having a living area (couch, television, etc) because there were televisions in the bedrooms, and we spent most of the time on the porch during our stay. We would return.

We had a wonderful stay in Tacoma! Barb was an amazing host—very communicative and thoughtful throughout our visit. The house was exactly as described: clean, comfortable, and set on a lovely property. We truly enjoyed our time here and would happily stay again. Highly recommend!

House was excellent, large bathrooms. Variety of condiments and other staples were a great help.

A few minutes after checking in a circuit breaker blew. We found out this had happened with a previous guest and it wasn’t taken care of. An electrician came the next day and informed the owner the entire breaker box was not able to handle the load and had to be replaced. So for the duration of our stay we couldn’t use stuff or the fridge would quit and lights would go out. Very disappointing.

Couldn't ask for a better home, location, or host. Clean, safe, comfortable, and a beautiful location. Barb also was a wonderful host and very attentive to make your trip as easy as possible. Thank you Barb for your hospitality and meeting you was the sunshine of my day. :)

Nice setting and home, host was very communicative. We had issues with internet being slow/out but since we spend most of they day out exploring was not a huge deal for us.

This home is unbelievable! The property it’s on makes you feel like you’re in a private resort! Barb is the host and one of the most delightful women we’ve ever met. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and the places to sit and relax and visit or numerous. We would highly recommend and hope to return.

This cottage is located in a quiet and relaxing atmosphere, with a pond, trees and nice area. Its updated and provides a great space to hang out, but yet separate enough to be in your own space. The host is friendly, helpful and overall a great person. Highly recommend staying here if your in the area. Overall, we loved the place.

We had such a great time staying at Barbara’s cottage in the Seattle-Tacoma area. The place was absolutely charming—peaceful, cozy, and perfectly located for all the hiking we wanted to do. Barbara was an incredible host—super welcoming, responsive, and thoughtful, but also gave us plenty of space to relax and enjoy our time. After long days exploring the trails, it was such a treat to come back to a quiet, comfortable cottage that felt like home. Can’t recommend it enough—thank you, Barbara!

The location was excellent. The size was just right. The grounds were beautiful.However there were quite a few ants which is not something that can be taken care of right away, although they tried. I was also not used to a VRBO owner asking so many detailed questions about our trip and our daily whereabouts..

The host, Barbara, lives in the house next door and is very welcoming and kind. She was baking the day we got there and offered us a mini banana bread loaf which was very moist and delicious. The house was very beautiful, clean, gated, and on a scenic piece of property with streams going through the property and a cute pond. I would stay here again

My adult daughters and I planned a week long vacation. We truly enjoyed the cottage and can only describe it as a tranquil retreat. It was immaculately clean. The layout was perfect to come together and visit while enjoying the view of picturesque grounds that were beautifully landscaped. We had everything we could possibly need from the kitchen to the bath. The owner was an absolute delight and made sure to make us feel welcome.

We enjoyed our peaceful stay. The cottage is cute and offers a nice layout with 2 bedrooms separated by a kitchen/dining area. We loved all the window lines, view of the pond, fireplaces, etc.

What a perfect little cottage. This was perfect for our family and it was clean, cute, comfortable, and safe. Would 10/10 recommend!

Amazing stay, this is one of my favorite place to stay when in Washington state. Barb is such a wonderful host!

Such a great location. Very quiet even with other rentals on the property. Super clean, very comfortable, and our host Barbara was available if needed the entire time. She accommodated my need for a box fan immediately, responded to all messages immediately. Definitely one of my best stays!

After a visit with the property owner, we enjoyed the lovely property with spacious porches! Good Wi-Fi for working and close enough to Mt. Rainier.
