Cheerful House on Lake Erie

We had a fabulous stay at this property! It’s a really cute house and was perfect for our needs while in town for a week to visit with family. The home was easy to access and is located in a good quiet neighborhood setting. We absolutely will book here again.

The host was welcoming and the house was just lovely. The view of the lake was fantastic from the top of the berm and the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful.

The home was nice and newly refinished. The only thing was the water was hard to get to from the yard.

The home was updated, plenty of extras and was very clean. The description was misleading. I was thinking it was a short walk to the beach. You had to climb a long set of steps. Then a hill and down a bank. To get a good view of the lake you had to go into the neighbors yard. She has dogs so we ended up stepping in their waste. We wasn't told that even though we were charged 80 for room cleaning. We still needed to wash our own towels and sheets before we left. The owner did communicate well with us throughout our visit. It had easy parking and was in a very quiet neighborhood.

Super clean and quaint. It was absolutely what I was looking for and lived up to my hopes and then some.

Recently updated, clean, equipped with the essentials, full kitchen, new appliances, air conditioning, fireplace, tvs in every room (but master bedroom tv didn’t turn on). Mostly I wanted to be on the water & the lake was right out the back door. You can’t see the lake from indoors which is really the only disappointment. Climb up 14 steps (cautiously) & you are lakeside. There is a place to make a fire on the hill or on a little peninsula with a shelter (‘cabana,) on it below that appears sometimes might be a boat launch, but it’s overgrown. Quiet. Only saw a couple neighbor kids. Did see a pair of eagles that live nearby someplace! Don’t forget to see the sunset at Webbers restaurant, a family tradition!! Bring bug spray or nets because lake.

House was very clean and well stocked with utensils, coffee, etc. We walked through the neighborhood admiring everyones beautiful flowers and along the lake. Check in was easy. Definitely recommend!

Property is as listed and met our family's needs. It was a very clean and well stocked home. Shower is amazing! Boys enjoyed fishing out back off the rocks. Communication was excellent. One bedroom tv didnt work, but we were there to enjoy the outside, so didn't impact us. If had to nit pick, the couches, beds, and pillows aren't the most comfortable.

Everything was nice and the area was quiet. This was very close to family we were visiting so great location for us. Only complaint we have is the couch was falling apart. Areas you would fall in and be sitting on a bar and others the sectional peices were coming apart.

Spent a weekend here to visit sights in downtown Toledo, only 15 minutes away. This house is in great condition and updated with high end features, including TVs in every room (including the bathroom), and is attached to Alexa. Kitchen is beautiful. We were very comfortable and the owner was communicative throughout.

We truly enjoyed our stay at this sweet little cottage. All Toledo sites were easily accessible.

Mostly acceptable found some dead insects in the window in winter, snow and ice in the instructrd entry way and when paying for a rental i hab never been asked to a strip beds and load the washing machine.

We found the property very clean and comfortable. We would definitely recommend this location to others.

We enjoyed our stay. Was easy to get in and host was easy to get in touch with. The lake is right behind the house and was completely frozen so that was cool to see and our kids liked it. If I had to complain about something I would have to nit pick and be ridiculous like the overly high chairs in another review.

Very cute little bungalow. Comfortable, clean, all new appliances and smart TVs. Fireplace is cozy and the beds are pretty comfortable. Communication with the owner is easy, and he volunteers a lot of helpful info.

Would definitely stay there again.

Met up with some friends for a weekend get away. Justin did an amazing job updating this little cottage! Everything was very nice. It was clean, tidy, and had everything you need in the kitchen! The property was close to everything we hoped to visit. And Justin was very quick to respond to any questions we had. We would all recommend this property to you if you are considering staying!

The Cottage was perfect and just what we needed to wind down after my husbands open heart surgery The cottage has so many ammenities, even a TV in the washroom! The cottage is close to so many activities, it was difficult to choose what to do first! My husband highly recommend this rental for the perfect peaceful respite. The host is very pleasent, just a phone call or text away if there are any issues.a

Husband and I stayed at the house for the weekend for a wedding by in a nearby town. Arrived in the dark and the house was as described on the outside and easy to find in the dark. The property has been beautifully decorated and upgraded. The shower was a nice touch with all the spray options. Only downside to our stay were a lot of overlooked spider webs in the light fixtures and the beds weren’t the greatest to sleep on, one being too hard and the other being super noisy when you moved. Overall would definitely recommend the house and would definitely stay again!

We thoroughly enjoyed this charming little lake front home. It was always several degrees cooler here than when we went into town to shop or for dinner. Wish there had been screens in the living room windows so we could have opened them.

My friend and I had a lovely time at your house. We really appreciated how reachable the owner was, and loved the cute house. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the shower was delightful.

The owner, Justin, did an amazing job updating this house. It is quaint and located close to the shoreline of Lake Erie. My wife and i enjoyed our time. All of the rooms have been upgraded and electronics connected via Alexa. (That took a little getting used to.) A few items to note: 1. The lock for entry is on the side of the house & the owner recommends using the back door for carrying things in/out. This is good advice as the side entry has higher steps which my be ackward as well as a 90 degree turn into the kitchen. 2. The beds in both rooms have new matresses. These were a bit too firm for my wife's and my liking. If you prefer softer for sleeping, the couch worked better. 3. The two best places on the couch are the reclining seat nearest the kitchen and the corner. I sunk in other spaces and could not get the second reclining seat to recline. 4. Alexa randomly spoke and/or played something without being called upon. 5. There is a gazebo directly behind the house. There were some people partying (end of labor day weekend) and we were initially told by the owner to stay away as the gazebo is private property. Later, he indicated we could go by it but noting it was a work in process. (Recommend this be clearly described in the posting.) 6. Two items outside of the owners control were (a) brown/copperish water for a period of time and (b) intermittent internet connectivity. These didnt last or impact the stay - just some inconvenience.

The house was tidy and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The host was responsive and easy to reach. It's a beautiful home we hope to visit again.

Nice little house in quiet neighborhood on the lake. Unfortunately couldn't launch kayaks from the property but found other places to go. We had a great time celebrating our anniversary!

Even with neighbors, this home felt secluded and comfy. We didn’t use the backyard much, but the view from the living room was nice and the retaining walls kept it private. Kitchen was well equipped for normal use. Absolutely LOVED the shower! 10/10!

Great place to stay , there was no beach or fire pit but that is ok the only real problem was with the WIFI . it was a very very week signal , there are tv's in every room but we could hardly watch the one in the living room. ( TV is on streaming service )

Nice clean quiet place to unwind or use as a place to explore the lake and Toledo. Kitchen was great for preparing breakfasts. Although the host did not plan this, we enjoyed watching the rabbits enjoy themselves in the yard. Thank you for your hospitality
