The house was nice and it was pleasently decorated. Several of the lamps did not have shades - just visible light bulbs. The lock pad on the front door was verying difficut to unlock due to the fact the numbers were worn off. The remote which operated the living room light did not work. The house was very clean and was located in a safe neighborhood.

Good Choice in Van Buren. Nice to have a pet and family friendly option in Van Buren for floating the Current River. Unless you are camping, there aren't many lodging choices in the Van Buren/Eminence area. Add in pets, and your choices are even fewer. It is evident that the owners care about this property; thoughtful items such as q-tips (thank you!!!) games, and extra bedding are appreciated. Cute decor. I can tell they had fun remodeling and decorating. It felt clean. Suggestions: a larger bed option. At least 1 queen bed would be nice. Better mattresses would be wonderful rather than foam laid over mattresses. Bedskirts or better bedframes would enhance your attention to detail. Nicer pots and pans. New matching towels and washcloths. Cleaner front porch. Keypad on front door is worn and hard to see numbers to enter code. Yes - I am being picky, but the owners have worked so hard on this older home that a few tweaks would really up the game. A few upgrades would make this home top of the list in Van Buren. I am from this area - the natural beauty of the river and springs are spectacular and hidden gems. Sadly, the small towns have suffered great decline for various reasons, and rely heavily on tourism. Manage your expectations - this is an older home in a tiny town that is struggling. But GO- STAY HERE- SUPPORT THE LOCAL BUSINESSES. It is a wonderful family get-away. Thank you to the owners for working so hard on this property.

We spent two nights at this property for our float trip. It was perfect size for our group of two adults and three teens. The second bathroom was a huge plus! Location was great, a quick walk or short drive to really anywhere you could want to go.

We have stayed in this house several times over the past 7 years and this time was a little disappointing. The morning of check in Zach called me and told me that the AC had gone out and they were getting 3 portable units. A large one for the living roon area and 1 for each bedroom. We arrived an hour after check in and there were still people there installing them and the house felt like a sauna. We left and got food and when we returned we found that there were only 2 units and the 2nd bedroom was still extremely hot. The entire house was still very warm. I let Zach know and he said that he would have another unit brought over. They arrived at about 9:30 and installed it. A little after midnight the smaller unit in the primary bedroom shut off and wouldn't come back on. It had an error on the display. The next norning, when I let Zach know he said that the unit might need to be drained. I watched a YouTube video and drained the unit and that fixed it. Little did i know that would be my ongoing chore for the next couple of days and night. The larger units in the living room and 2nd bedroom didn’t have to be drained as often. The home is exactly as described and we have always enjoyed staying there. This time the fridge still had a couple food items in it and it was dirty. Other than that it was a good stay. It's unfortunate that we paid the full rental cost when I had to perform regular maintenance in order to stay comfortable.

The property is beautiful and as described. Short distance to amazing food and to the Missouri Down Under Zoo in which we came for. Great place to stay for those wanting to be out in nature or fishing.

Was so thankful that the host & the house was pet friendly. Great inside & outside area for all family members including pet family. Host was quick to respond & provided detailed information. Host was very kind & helped me with all items. We will stay here again & I will share all the fabulous information about the host, house, & location.
