Charming Waterfront Cottage with Private Dock. Close to Annapolis & USNA

This is a charming cottage with access to the water. We had a wonderful stay over thanksgiving and made good use of the well stocked kitchen. Noting that the first floor bedroom is up a few tall steps, which were challenging for my older mom who has mobility issues. Otherwise everything was exceptional.

Location is hard to beat with an amazing view from the deck and dock. Listing is accurate and the hosts were helpful and communicative. No major issues during the stay and would definitely stay there again!

Great property, you have some electrical issues, mainly lights out on the deck and some outlets aren't working. I'm an electrician and I'd recommend considering replacing your main panel, it's pretty old

The whole family loved our stay in the cottage. Kayaking was great fun. The house is really cute, and beds were wonderfully comfortable.

The bridal party had a wonderful time at the cottage! The house was clean and comfortable. It had a lot of appliances we ended up needing such as an iron and ironing board. It was nettle season so we didn't end up in the water, but had a great time sitting on the dock. The cottage is closer to other houses than I thought based on the pictures, but it wasn't a problem. The owners, Tom and Liz, live on the same property and Tom came by to say hello one morning. Overall a lovely stay!

Well kept home that was larger than photos. Great location with larger property close to Annapolis and DC, but on water and surrounded by woods. Owner was very responsive to minor questions

Great location, really well equipped and everything you would need. Sitting on the deck in the evening watching the sunset was memorable.

The house was very nice and the host provided many creature comforts like lots of towels, night lights, basic cooking supplies, plenty of dishes and glassware, a water filtering spout on the kitchen sink. The location was beautiful and peaceful. Access to local beach areas was very close and easy. Unfortunately, the kitchen faucet was in need of replacement. Right before we left we had to shut off the water and put towels in the cabinet under the sink to absorb leaks. For someone short, the items in the wall cabinets were difficult to reach. Overall, though, I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

The property was a great location for our family and friends to stay for the weekend as we visited friends in Annapolis on Friday night and attended the A-N game on Saturday at Northwest Stadium. Photos were accurate. The house was very clean. And the hosts were extremely responsive.Our only problem was that the upstairs bedrooms were about 15 degrees warmer than the downstairs. We contacted our hosts and they were responsive. But even after we closed off vents and took the other steps the hosts recommended, we had to open the windows on a below-freezing night just to make the temperature bearable. It definitely detracted very significantly from what was otherwise a great stay.

We really enjoyed our three days at Beachwood Cottage. The location is very tranquil and charming. The cottage is cute and the setting is bucolic with the water views and extremely peaceful. The cottage is about 25 mins drive from Annapolis, which was great for dining and visiting the Naval Academy. The closest town (approx. 10 mins away is Edgewater, where you can get groceries etc.). There are also some really pretty trails in both Edgewaters and Mayo. The cottage was well kitted out for cooking and we most of all enjoyed sitting on the deck in the evening and enjoying the sunsets. We had a few questions here and there and Liz and Tom were very responsive. We did not use the kayaks, but they are provided for use. The boat dock was pretty, but we didn't walk on or sit on it as it had a lot of guano on it sadly. We enjoyed the fire table and the whole scene though – a very relaxing spot.

Adorable cottage with a great view and all the amenities you could ask for on the water. From fishing poles to crab traps and kayaks we were not at a shortage of things to do.

Couples getaway weekend to Annapolis. This was the perfect place to have our Basecamp. Absolutely beautiful location, quiet, and peaceful and easy to get everywhere!

If you're in search of a property with a sleek, modern kitchen and ensuite bathrooms, this won't meet your expectations. However, if you dream of a charming house on the bay with breathtaking views and an incredible deck to enjoy them from, then this is exactly the place for you!

The property was very peaceful. The house is clean, comfortable and nicely furnished. The common areas are spacious. The hosts were very nice and attentive to our needs.

Our group of nine 16 year old girls had an amazing weekend here. They were able to (by choice) pile into one bedroom, have a mini dance party on the deck and enjoy the amazing river/bay. This is a great property and I am already thinking how we can get back for another long weekend. Tom, the owner is extremely easy to communicate with and very helpful.

Everything you need for a family vacation to enjoy tranquility and fun. Kayaking and crabbing are highlights of the trip. Kids had a great time.

The cottage is adorable. It was a perfect spot for our girls weekend. Having the dock and kayaks was great. The house was well stocked. The owner was helpful when we had trouble figuring out the TV.
