Come enjoy Cape Cod, while only steps away from beautiful Drummer Cove in Wellfleet. Relax at home, with bay front views, or venture out to the best beaches on the Cape-- just a mile away! Less than 5 minutes from Wellfleet Center and 20 from Provincetown.

The Space
Charming 1950s cottage just steps from the shores of Drummer Cove. This cozy house is perfect for couples and small family getaways. Relax on the front deck, or in the hammock with beautiful views of the cove and Cape Cod Bay. Indoor and outdoor dining space. Outdoor shower with bay view. The perfect Cape Cod retreat!

The Neighborhood
Drummer Cove is a unique and beautiful bayside community located just outside of Wellfleet center. The cottage is just north of the Audubon's Wildlife Sanctuary and a short drive, bike ride, or walk to the Atlantic side where you can enjoy the incredible dunes, beach, and waves of Lecount Hollow and the Cape Cod National Seashore. On your way back from the beach, enjoy dinner at PB Boulangerie Bistro, one the best restaurants in the area, or drive 5 minutes and you are in charming Wellfleet Center with its many attractions.

We have 2 kayaks with paddles and life vests for guests to enjoy. They are located under the front porch where they are locked. The code to unlock is posted in the one page of instructions on the fridge and in entryway. After kayak use, please rinse off kayaks with the hose located under the house next to the outdoor shower- where you can attach it to the water source. Please leave kayaks locked at all times when not in use.. *WARNING* DO NOT leave on a kayak adventure while the tide is going out or durning low tide. The safest time to set out for a paddle is two hours before high tide. Leaving when the tide going out could result in getting stranded in four feet of mud!!

Getting around
Walking distance to Lecount Hollow beach, short drive to other ocean side beaches. Walk along the shores of Drummer Cove. Wellfleet center is less than 5 minute drive away, Provincetown only 25 minutes, other attractions such as Welfleet Drive-In theater less than 10 minute drive. As a renter you are able to purchase Wellfleet Beach Passes at the town beach office-- we will provide all appropriate paper work.

They should be more up front about how long the mud flats are exposed. There is more time with mud than water and sometimes low tide doesn't smell so nice. Inhibiting the use of the cute deck and high-top table. Also, the bathroom is not meant for larger people. Not heavy just big. My son had to turn sideways to go through the bathroom door, his shoulders wouldn't fit through opening. The upstairs bedroom was open to living area below, so if someone was asleep you really couldn't move around the kitchen.Sweet, quiet, tiny cottage. Would not return.

Cute cottage directly on the cove. Views from the deck, front room and upstairs loft. Convenient to Wellfleet, Truro and Ptown.

Lovely view and ambiance and the cottage had and all the amenities you could need! Stayed on a cooler rainy weekend, yet we still got to enjoy the water front views from the covered back porch. Also enjoyed the outdoor shower. Perfect place for our long weekend stay.

Great getaway with mom and sisters. Adorable and cozy. On the smaller side put perfect for what we were looking for! Especially enjoyed waking up to the view of the Cove from the bedroom upstairs.

Not as clean as I would have wished perhaps because it was after the summer season. Had to buy a new shower liner as the one provided was black with mold and mildew. Cheese or peanut butter crusted in upstairs rattan bedside table. Bathroom extremely tiny. Not very private if that's an issue. On the plus side the beds were extremely comfortable. Plenty of lights, air conditioners in both bedrooms but no cemtral heat - only space heaters. Fortunately the weather was quite comfortable for October but our first night there was very chilly. The cottage was fine for 2 people but too small for any more. The owner was responsive and kind.

This is a nice place to stay, but it lacks the privacy that I thought it would have. The view is beautiful, but as far as kayaking, don't bother. The cove is only good at high tide and there isn't decent place to launch unless you don't mind walking through muck. The bedroom upstairs is a bit cramped. If you are 5'7 or more, you'll have a hard time moving about. Overall, it is a nice place. We have rented on the Cape and Vineyard for over 30 years and for the price paid you expect a more privavcy and seclusion as was mentioned in the description.

The view was spectacular. The cabin not so much. A little musty and dirty. The furniture was not that comfortable. I didn't realize how close to Route 6 the cabin was. I expected more for the price.

Great, rustic cabin with an amazing view. Very cute place and hope to stay there again. And the owner was very responsive to our questions and recommended a great French bakery for breakfast/lunch. Loved it!
