Charming Private Cottage by the Beach

Charming accommodations with lots of indoor and outdoor space. Nice furnishings, appliances, and interior design. Three dogs belonging to the owners visit kvery politely and playfully. Beautiful beach and dining options at Cambridge Beaches resort, a short walk away, Hosts Jo and Jonah were most welcoming and helpful. Short walk to supermarket and to bus stop. Will definitely stay there again.

Jo and Jonah are such great hosts! The property and location was perfect. Great set up inside the unit, clean and comfortable. Beautiful and private, all additional amenities were perfect! We would recommend this place to anyone and will return.

Staying at Jo and Jonah’s cottage was a joy. This is a meticulously restored and generously proportioned one bedroom haven for a vacationing couple or individual. The house is technically attached to the main building of this gorgeous estate, but this extremely comfortable, immaculately cleaned place was entirely private and quiet. It also offers a beautiful spacious enclosed garden — solely for the occupants’ use— with comfortable seating and tables for outdoor dining, which we enjoyed every day. And there is nothing between the place and the beach but a quiet walk of less than two minutes duration. The swimming was wonderful. And because of the location, on a very narrow strip of the island, you can watch both sunrises and sunsets over the water — the two shores are five minutes walk apart. Three charming dogs became friends. We very much hope to return.

We arrived by taxi in dreadful weather but Jo was there to greet us. As we had torrential rain the next day Jonah very kindly drove us to the supermarket for provisions which was greatly appreciated. The accommodation was simply beautiful and very comfortable with everything required, decorated with Jonah's stunning art work. The property is set in beautiful gardens which we really enjoyed and listening to the birds as well as visits from the three dogs. It also backs on to a beautiful beach. We were able to use the facilities at Cambridge Beach Resort next door also. The owners were always available if required.We would definitely recommend a stay here and certainly hope to visit again. We were very sad to leave.

A wonderful getaway in Bermuda. Beautiful design, privacy with all the amenities. One can relax in the enclosed garden or walk 50 meters to a stunning beach. The hosts are very kind, accessible and helpful. And we love the company of the dogs.

We just returned from our third lengthy stay at Sea View Mews, a lovely one-bedroom unit situated a short walk from Mangrove Bay and Somerset Village. We keep returning because the rental property is magical—a comfortable abode with its own enclosed garden, which is itself contained by the expansive and beautifully maintained grounds of the main house. A two-minute walk from the bottom of your garden takes you to a gorgeous beach and splendid sea views. We are grateful to Jo and Jonah for being such wonderful hosts, and for creating such a wonderful refuge from the Canadian winter.

This is a beautiful place to stay. Cozy, very comfortable and beautiful grounds. The beach is in the backyard. The hosts are friendly and helpful. We highly recommend staying here.

We had a perfect two week vacation at the mews cottage. It was very private and peaceful and yet our hosts, Jo and Jonah were always available when we had questions or needed advice. The property is beautiful and the rooms of the cottage are very generously sized with comfortable furnishings. The beach is just a few steps from the back gate and is very private. There is a very good grocery store and several bus stops within a short walk. We travelled the whole length of Bermuda from the dockyards to St George’s using the buses and ferries and enjoyed all of it. This cottage is now our go to spot in Bermuda.

The Mews was fantastic! Comfortable, private , well equipped and just steps from the beach. Jo and Jonah are wonderful hosts, we enjoyed our time with them very much.

You couldn’t ask for a more beautiful, serene space to vacation! From the cottage, to the gardens and the peepers that lull you sleep at night…it’s perfect! There is a food market in walking distance as well as a bus stop! Friendly bus drivers help you to find your stop and offer guidance. It’s a very easy and economical way to explore the island! We explored the bike path this time around with bikes provided by the hosts and got an even better look at hidden gems just minutes from the cottage. The hosts, Jo and Jonah, are wonderful. They will point you in the right direction for anything you may need. And Jonah’s artwork is amazing and decorates the walls of the cottage! We absolutely love it here!

This was our second stay at the Sea Mews and like the first time, everything was as described. The owners have added new windows along with electric curtains. Very nice.We arrived right before Hurricane Humberto - which was mainly winds, and then Imelda which followed which was heavier rains along with winds. We were perfectly comfortable as we waited the storms out. The owners have battery backup which came into play for a few hours when power was lost. This spot is truly a slice of heaven on earth.

This place is a gem! Jo and Jonah, the owners, couldn’t be nicer, always willing to help in any way large or small. Cottage is charming, clean and a joy to be in. We give it the highest recommendation!

The whole experience beginning to end was a wonderful stay at the Mews. The hosts are kind and helpful. They have three well behaved dogs, we miss their morning visits. The rooms were clean and the place is in great condition. Its a short walk away from the beach and close to the grocery stores. Thank you Jo and Jonah, look forward to returning someday.

The location was really nice. Quiet, calm, beautiful gardens. Access to the Cambridge Resorts was a highlight. The doggos were fun to visit with. Jo and Jonah were great.

Lovely garden apartment steps from the water. Super nicely appointed, very functional and clean. Hosts were super nice and helpful. Altogether a trip of rest and relaxation that worked extremely well. Highly recommend.

Absolutely the best find in Bermuda, will go back. Many thanks to Jo for the hospitality (husband was out of the country), and for making it a great vacation. She is a “super host”, always available and responsive. After running up and down the island for a week, we believe this was probably the best location, especially with that access to the private beach.

Just returned from a delightful 4-night stay at The Mews at Sea View, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect experience. From the moment we arrived, we knew we had found a true gem.Our primary goal for this trip was to relax, soak up the sun on Bermuda's beautiful beaches, explore the scenic Railway Trail, and enjoy some delicious local cuisine. The Mews at Sea View proved to be an ideal base for all of this and more. Its location in Sandys provided a wonderful sense of tranquility, yet it was perfectly situated for us to easily access everything we wanted to do.The property itself is charming, well-appointed, and incredibly comfortable – truly a home away from home. Our host, Jo, is an absolute delight! Jo went above and beyond to ensure our visit was wonderful. From her warm welcome to her invaluable recommendations for local restaurants and insider tips for navigating the island, she made us feel incredibly well cared for. Her genuine hospitality and thoughtful touches truly enhanced our relaxation and enjoyment.We highly recommend The Mews at Sea View to anyone looking for a serene and authentic Bermudian experience. Clean home. Has everything you could need. Short walk to gorgeous beach. Cambridge Beaches Resort is literally right beside this property - very easy access to spa, restaurants, car/moped/watersports rentals. Grocery store, bus stops, pizza place all within walking distance. Bikes were fun to borrow. Helpful hosts. Excellent experience over all. (I don't recommend renting MiniMax EV vehicle from Bermuda Rentals tho.)

We could not have asked for a more wonderful visit to Bermuda. Our location was perfect - relaxing, close to the beach, and hosted by owners who were warm and generous with time and assistance. We will definitely be returning to Sea View.

We thoroughly enjoyed waking up and sitting in a flower laden garden while we drank our coffee. The trail to the beach was short. Chairs and towels were provided. We made use of the e-charger. The cottage was clean and well air conditioned. Finally, the hosts, Jo and Jonah, were fantastic. Perfect trip.

I don't have enough superlatives for this lovely, well-appointed venue! The hosts are extremely professional, truly care about every detail, and were so warm and welcoming. The location is outstanding - with easy access to the beach and within walking distance to shops and the bus, in addition to water sports and numerous beaches. Having Cambridge Beaches right there is a huge asset, and we enjoyed several dinners and took advantage of the kayaks and even rented a small power boat to explore the area. I can't wait to return! Thank you to our stellar hosts (and the gorgeous pups)!

We could not speak more highly of this rental experience. Jo and Jonah are perfect hosts who are available but very respectful of guests' privacy. The property was beautiful with gardens, a short path to the beach, and our unit was bright, immaculate, airy and just really pretty, decorated with Jonah's art work. We had a garden to ourselves as well as a private area with dining table and grill. The hosts provide beach towels, beach chairs, snorkel equipment and kayaks. Honestly we would not stay anywhere else in future trips. It was classic Bermuda and we also love the area of Sandy's, which is more low key and away from the crowds. We loved the family dogs and wanted them around but you can also choose to not have them in your space. Just a lovely, lovely time in a picture perfect setting.

We spent 5 nights here and we could not say enough great things about it! Absolutely perfect location with a nice quiet place out back to sit by ocean or go enjoy all the resort next door has to offer. This property was amazing, interesting with the garden grounds, three wonderful furry friends and two awesome hosts. Jo and Jonah went above and beyond to make sure our vacation was memorable and had all we needed. I will never forget these lovely people or their boy Sammy knocking on the door daily looking for a treat! If it's available, don't second guess, just book it!!!

The cottage was exactly as described and the hosts are very accommodating even to the point of arranging for taxi drivers to pick us up at the airport. The grounds are absolutely beautiful.

The casual elegance of this historic property is very evident staying at the Mews. Privacy and quiet is perfect. Walking the gardens with the flora and fauna are just lovely. The cottage is modern and very comfortable.Biking the rail trail with their bikes was just what we needed.Cambridge next door is a plus with that special beach right through the path.This isn't a place for kids... really. It's a grown up English garden on a spectacular beach.Romantic. Special. For grown ups.We loved it.Love to return.

The Mews is beautifully located, with a easy pathway through to a great beach only 2 minutes walk away. We were able to use good bikes (included) to get around which was a real bonus (and kayaks would have been available too if we wished). Jo and Jonah were away for much of our stay, but their housekeeper Cassie was both welcoming and very friendly.

Great stay with Jo and Jonah (and Abby, Sammy and Anna!). They were fantastic hosts providing a charming spot to call home for a week. The Mews was the perfect spot for a relaxing vacation-property was lovely with an easy path to the beach. We spent lots of time reading on the beach, wading in the beautiful blue water and ending the day by grilling dinners in the lovely garden. We rented a scooter next door at Cambridge Beaches and explored the gorgeous island but loved coming back to our home away from home. We can’t wait to come back!

We spend a lot of time at VBROs but the cottage, surrounds and hosts are great here and we had such a peaceful and happy time. It was hard to go home.

We had the most fabulous stay at Sea View, everything was available to make your stay comfortable, the back garden was a lovely sun spot late afternoon when you could soak up the last of the sun perfect. The short walk to the beach made our day each morning. Buses 7 and 8 are only a 5 minute walk from sunview along with the local supermarket. Jo and Jonah were the perfect hosts along with the dogs. We would definitely return.

Quiet, lovely, close to buses. Lots of space in the flat, well appointed, good kitchen/bathroom/living space. Comfortable access to property (bikes, kayak, garden etc..).We found the buses were the best connection to good beaches, but the local area was nice. It was good to be away from the road, and away from all-inclusive. It felt like home.

This is a beautiful cottage with a large bedroom, nicely decorated bathroom, large great room equipped with a spacious desk and comfy furniture, and an equipped alley kitchen. The grounds are beautiful, and the cottage is just steps from the private beach. Our hosts are warm, accommodating, delightful people. Bermuda is filled with gorgeous scenery and friendly, people. We will be back!

We were once again enchanted immediately upon entering the grounds at Sea View on this, our second visit, to Bermuda and Sea View Mews. The magic of the island is on display everywhere, from the gardens, pristine beach and the interior of our cottage, where Jonah’s art recalls the natural beauty of sea and landscape. The cottage is becoming a home away from home for us, allowing us a respite from the harsh Canadian winter. It is well appointed and welcoming. New windows let in more light and restful sights of the luxuriant vegetation in our private garden. We enjoyed exploring new plantings on the property as well as a new pond with a bubbling fountain. Jonah and Jo are charming hosts, attentive to our every need. Cassie once again made the cottage sparkling clean and took care of us throughout our stay. The dogs welcomed us back joyfully and kept us entertained on our walks in and out of the property.We will be back for more, of course.

This is a beautiful property and accommodation in a quiet neighborhood. The hosts were extremely helpful with arranging a taxi from the airport and were very good at answering any questions we had.We liked it so much we will be back next year.

The gardens are breathtaking. A gate a short distance from our cottage door takes you directly to a sandy beach that is shared with the resort next door (which has several restaurants, a spa, and microcar/scooter rentals). We loved spending time with Jo and Jonah's dogs Sammy, Abbie, and Anna. The cottage is lovely and the walls are covered with Jonah's amazing paintings. It was private and quiet and not far from a grocery store. The people of Bermuda are among the kindest people we have ever met. Jo and Jonah were very helpful. We highly recommend and hope to return at some point in the future. They even have a charging station for our microcar which was very convenient! While the cottage is on the northwest tip of the island, it is only a 45-50 minute drive from the airport.

We don’t know where to start it was so fabulous. The hosts were so lovely and helpful, the cottage was perfection and the location spectacular, and we say that despite gale force winds and bands of rain. No matter to us. We enjoyed just being snug on the comfy couch reading a good book! Thank you Jo and Jonah❤️

Amazing location! Truly enjoyed our stay and hope to return again one day.

This rental is top-notch. The host helped us arrange for a taxi to pick us up from the airport. Essentially a full kitchen with gadgets (gas stove/oven, blender, toaster, coffee pot, french press, espresso machine), which we enjoyed making meals at. They had boardgames, puzzles, ect for downtime while on the island. They even had snorkeling gear in the closet for guest to use. The immediate back yard to the rental was space for us to use. We sat on the loungers and watched the stars at night. They had an outdoor eating area and a grill for us to use. The beach was one minute walk away and had calm waves. We were invited to use kayaks and bikes on the property. The host were warm and welcoming and very prompt with questions over messages. They had dogs which we loved to invite into our area of the property. The dogs often joined us for morning breakfast and coffee. If you keep the gates closed, the dogs cannot get into the area. Overall 10 out of 10 experience! I will definitely be retuning and booking this rental.

This property surpasses all expectations. The cottage itself is so welcoming and lovely, with a comfortable bed, well-equipped kitchen and top-notch espresso machine. Everything is perfect, but the main draw will always be Jo and Jonah, our hosts. They make you feel right at home, as do pups Sammy and Abby. I can't wait to return again next year.

Jo and Jonah were great hosts. The property is better than described. We had access to bikes, kayaks, the beach and the knowledge of the island from Jo and Jonah. They were quick to respond and gave us great directions to navigate the island. We truly appreciated there hospitality. Access to the beach was incredible along with close proximity to the resort next door. When we get to Bermuda again this will be our choice location. Thanks again for a great trip.

Jo and Jonah were amazing hosts and I feel like I have friends forever! The cottage was exactly as pictured and even better than I hoped. My little private garden of beautiful flowers welcomed me in the morning for coffee and in the evening for wine. The beach was amazing and they supplied beach chairs, towels and an umbrella! I was a single person on vacation and felt very safe and at home. Would recommend to anyone wanting such a peaceful and beautiful location for vacation. Thanks Jo and Jonah. I'll be back!

Close to Cambridge Beaches property so easy to get around. Host was very good with communicating and friendly. House was clean and nicely styled. The only feedback given was to have the walkway better lit in the evening with motion light and to cut back some of the trees to make it more accessible, but other than that we would stay again! It is a great spot and friendly host.
