Charming Lakefront Bala Cottage

Host was great. Clean and cozy. All amenities were perfect. Beds were very comfortable. Excellent!

We had a wonderful time at this cottage. We enjoyed the area. The house was super clean, cozy. The view from the back of the cottage was beautiful. Would stay here again. Would definietly recommend this to my friends.

Everything was as expected and comfortable

It was a wonderful environment for a stress free holiday. Jessica was so helpful and friendly, cottage was immaculate, comfortable rooms, close to lots of things to do. Perfect!

The cabin is neat and tidy, is just the right size for 5-6 people. The directions given were easy to follow and it was a beautiful drive from the GTA. You have a small kitchen but plenty of prep space. The bedding is soft and poofy and warm for cooler nights and each room has a fan.My friends and I cannot wait to book again!Also:The neighbors are pretty quiet so you don't have to worry about noise. The cottage is walking distance from town so no need to drive. If you have wee children there is a park with swings and jungle gym with a child friendly beach less than a 5 min walk.

Very satisfied with this cottage due to location, water quality for swimming kayaking. Cottage itself was very equipped with the necessary elements and more. View of lake was excellent, Outside deck was fine. Very steep for some of us, could use a zigzag staircase approach to the water. Rear bedroom mattress too soft and felt rubbery. Other two bedrooms were good. Better lighting in kitchen and gfi sockets could help with multiple appliances. Decor good. One suggestion I would make would a bigger bathroom, using the large laundry room.More hooks for hanging stuff. Bigger green bin. Maybe a sliding screen front door?? On one side?? We were lucky to have a peaceful time, if it was summer it may be tight times with the neighbours but we cherished our solitude there,

Was a very nice place needed a few things fixed hopefully will be down the road as i had sent a message about a few of the things forgot about the deck out to the water was broken

This is a property that needs lots of work The bedrooms and the bathroom are really smallAs seniors we found that the journey to and from the cabin to the lake was tiring and somewhat hazardous. The floating dock was unstable with one connecting hinge rotted loose. The view of the lake is overgrown with branches obstructing a clear view of the water The sheets and towels were clean, but we found red ants on the kitchen counter

The cottage is clean and cozy with nice lake view. It is very easy to communicate with Jessica. A bit trouble is blocked sink in kitchen but it got fixed quickly by a handy guy sent by Jessica. Overall we have a good staying with the cottage. Thank you Jessica.

We spent 4 nghts recently with family.Excellent location, close to everything (shopping, grocery, lcbo) Great lake view and swimming.The cottage was very clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed.Jessica was very quick and responsive to any questions.Overall a wonderful stay! Very happy with our time away.

Beautiful property, with lots of amenities and within walking distance to Bala, we had a great time!

Jess is the most amazing host and communicator. The cottage is well equipped and perfect for 2 couples. We enjoyed all the different outdoor sitting areas and used each one. The closeness to the town of Bala is only a short stroll which was perfect for our dinner out. We lucked out and had sunshine the whole 4 days and the wind kept the bugs away.

Spent my honeymoon in this great cabin.It was super clean and cozy. The owner was easy to communicate with. Grocery store, and restaurants were right around the corner. Spent most of the time reading on the dock watching the beavers and loons go by. It was heaven.

Great experience! Cute cottage, extremely well-appointed…they had everything we needed! Amazing location with beautiful view. Lots of snow made it even more picturesque. Highly recommended. We look forward to our next visit.

The place was nice and clean. It accommodates 6 people, but we were only 4. However, the toilet clogged just a few hours after we checked in. I contacted the owner, and she suggested plunging it. We had to do that three times over the course of two and a half days. Other than thqt, it was a nice place.

Were very pleased with oir accommodations Host was first rate. Only issue we had were the web sites for surrounding restaurants were inaccurate in terms of their availability. Great stay overall

It was very busy during Cranberry Festival time so it was a delight to come back to the cottage and unwind by the water. Cottage offered everything possibly needed for a getaway. Town water was a added bonus

We had an excellent experience at the charming cottage in Bala. Not only is it in a phenomenal location, the place was very clean and beautiful, better than the pictures. And we were pleased to find lots of extra towels and bedding as well as a fully stocked kitchen with spices etc. It was very comfy and beautiful during our fall stay, and we will definitely be booking it again! Very nice and clean with everything you need for a great vacation

My friend and I really enjoyed our stay at Jessica’s cottage. You have a beautiful view of Moon River through the dining room window, we will be back.

I have to say we had the best time of our lives Our ages were 18, 40, 60, 80 Gramma could not get down to the dock But there is a beach seconds away Beautiful cottage with all amenities, gracious host...5 stars all the way?

Fantastic place to relax and enjoy Bala and close by area, did not need to venture too far for things to see and do! Great layout of the cottage and a pleasure to spend the week. Thank you and can't wait to return!

Lovely, well maintained cottage close to so many towns and highlights in Muskoka. The cottage was very inviting, cozy and tastefully decorated. All the amenities we needed were there. Plus, access was given to two kayaks...a real bonus. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Thank you, Jessica
