We had a lovely weeks stay at the hen house. It had everything you could wish for a relaxing stay. The views were amazing. Attractions and coast only 30 mins away. Plenty of things to do and see while you are here. Will definitely be returning!!!!

Very comfortable and thoughtfully equipped accommodation. Highlights were the amazing views, hot tub, starry nights, hares, buzzards and bats. About 15 minutes to two nearest pubs, both serving good food. Great place to relax, and to explore North Devon.

What can I say? Located in a haven of peace and tranquility. The Hen House is extremely private with fantastic views from the raised decking. So relaxing when using the hot tub at the end of the day. It is furnished to a high standard and the owners have done their best to anticipate their guests' needs. The biscuits and prosecco they left for us was a nice touch. In terms of location, it is a handy base, being within about 30 minutes of most of the North Devon places of interest As you'd expect, being based in a rural area, you need to navigate single lane country roads to get there but this is not a problem (even when you meet 3 farm vehicles in convoy coming the other way!!) Go ahead - book it - you won't regret it

Nice cottage down a long narrow country lane. Very warm with underfloor heating Kitchen very small with modest fridge, we made the mistake of doing a Tesco shop prior to arriving. Pubs a 4 mile drive.

Warm and comfy. The view from the deck was amazing. Everything was clean and in good working order. Personally I didn’t like the pillows - hard and a bit lumpy but I appreciate that is a personal opinion. My only real problem is that there are no windows that can open- there’s patio doors but in wet and windy weather we could not leave these open during the night and there were no other opening windows. Made for a stuffy night!
