Charming Country Cottage

The host is an excellent communicator - loads of details provided about the house ahead of time, which meant we knew exactly what to expect. We loved staying a short drive away from Hokitika and really appreciated the space and tranquility this property offered. Awesome spot for a family getaway - just down the road from the incredible Hokitika Gorge.

Host was very forthcoming about the cottage's 'quirks', which we found delightful. Lots of communications. The cottage had everything we could have hoped for, including a large clean BBQ, which was great for outside cooking. A lovely private spot with stunning mountain views.

Beautiful cottage and garden and views. All details in the cottage are both pretty and practical, so it has all it says it will /what you need. Good communication with the host. We would certainly come back here.

We really enjoyed our stay and the great communication from the owner left no surprises and everyrhing was as expected and better. The sunset and sunrise views of the hills from the living room as well as bathtub and nice big deck were awesome. We'd happily stay here again.

Ideally situated for Hokitika Gorge walk with perfect mountain views. Great Garden and excellent facilities. Communication with owner was first class and we were made to feel extremely welcome. We will be back

Nice homely cottage, much like my own. Well equiped and in a nice country location. The the cooker took a bit of practice to operate at the right temperature but we were made aware of that beforehand. Overall a very pleasant stay.

We loved this cottage! Very comfortable and in a beautiful country setting with a lovely garden. Had everything we needed and great communication from the hosts. Would definitely stay again!

Great location for local walks/activities. Great views! The fireplace kept us toasty. Quiet with some traffic during peak hours. Cannot fault host’s communication, 10/10! A highlight were the weka family at the gate - tiny weka chicks!
