The cottage was small but very comfortable and well equipped. It is well located between Saugatuck and Douglas, walking distance from both, and easy access with our bikes. We will gladly stay there again.

It rained during our stay, but we were still able to enjoy the enchanted garden because of the floor to ceiling sliding glass window. The garden came inside to us!

This was so cute and quaint. It is such a cool piece of history and the backyard is beautiful. It was quiet and exactly what I hoped it would be. Wilma is a perfect host. We walked to downtown Saugatuk. There are tons of places to eat and shop. Oval beach is a few minutes away and the dune rides were great. A perfect getaway fall weekend

We loved this little cabin in a quiet area in a cul de sac at the end of a short street. The cottage was quaint and perfect for the two of us. It was a nice short walk to the downtown area along a wooded residential sidewalk. We loved feeling secluded from the busier downtown area yet still close. The cottage was homey, clean, and everything we needed for the two of us. Would definitely recommend it and would stay again on our next visit!

Wilma, the host is so kind. We LOVED her charming historic cottage and stunning magical garden. She thought of everything in her well-appointed cottage. So many adjectives to describe this place - quiet, peaceful, cozy! Highly recommend. Tucked at the end of a wooded cul de sac, but close to everything. As downtown Saugatuck gets busy with no parking, it is not a problem as a shuttle bus will pick you up at the door and bring you back for 1. So convenient!

The Saugatuck/Douglas community is a special place: quaint shops, quirky history, quality restaurants, and a cohesive community. The cottage provides everything one or two people need for a relaxing stay. Sitting in the garden is a summer delight. The host is appropriately attentive, both town centers are within walking distance. Recommend nearby Modales Wines for serious tasting.

We were greeted warmly by Wilma, our host, who continued to be available for anything we needed. We had been to the cottage one other time and found it as charming as ever! It was spotlessly clean and comfortable, and has a delightful backyard garden with fountain and lovely flowers and yard art. The neighborhood was quiet for a good night’s sleep, and the bed, linens, and shower were so comfortable. It was just what we needed for a refreshing getaway!

We couldn’t have asked for a better stay than at the Lark! Upon arrival, Wilma was there to greet us and tell us about the history of the cottage and her beautiful gardens. The cottage itself was absolutely darling and made for a cozy long weekend stay for my partner and I. It is about a 10-15 minute walk from the main drag in Saugatuck and we enjoyed having that convenient access to dining and shopping. Overall, we would gladly stay at the Lark again and thoroughly recommend it to others!

We very much enjoyed our stay. We brought our ebikes so the location was great since we could easily ride our bikes to either downtown Saugatuck or Douglas. While the cabin is basically one big room and a bathroom we had enough room. It would have been nice to have a stove to cook breakfast on. We did use the small refrigerator and microwave for lunches.
