Charming Cottage, Fresh Eggs, Friendly Pets AND Pet Friendly!

I loved my stay! The cottage was clean and cozy, and being able to use the hot tub was amazing. Ed and Betsy and all the animals were welcoming. The cottage was especially beautiful during sunrise. A very peaceful environment to stay in.

The property was absolutely beautiful and in a safe quiet location. The price was some of the best around as well as availability. The hosts were very friendly and made themselves available for any questions or extra needs that we may have had. We had a lovely time

This dreamy cottage was the perfect place for our two night stay. It's idyllic setting in the Shenandoah Valley gives you beautiful views, and it's on a horse farm.

This is the cutest place! It is so relaxing to look out to window and watch the horses running around and the mountains! The hot tub was a treat after a day of hiking and the hosts were amazing! I really enjoyed staying there and chatting with them. I highly recommend this place.

We had such a wonderful stay at this cottage. It’s tucked away in the backyard of the main house, which made it feel incredibly private, quiet, and relaxing! One of the absolute highlights was the horses, who would roam just a couple feet from where we were staying. They were so friendly and gentle, and being able to pet them made the experience feel extra special and unique. The owners truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The bread and eggs they provided were such a thoughtful touch and made our mornings even more enjoyable. Their kindness and hospitality really stood out and made our stay that much better. This trip was extra meaningful for us as we were “earlymooning” before our wedding festivities, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect, peaceful place to unwind and soak in that special time together. We would absolutely recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway!

The location was amazing - 5 mins to town and 20 mins to amazing hiking. The stay had everything we need and was very comfortable. We loved the hot tub after hiking. The host was welcoming, easy going, and very helpful. Thanks for the eggs and fun weekend!

Nice and spacious cottage. Full kitchen was nice and a jetted tub! Outdoor hot tub was also nice to use. Loved how close it was to town and caverns but also feels remote. Owners were friendly and extra accomodating. Would definately stay again!

Yes for the most part. Some updates need to be made. Internet would freeze often while watching TV also could use larger screen TV. I thought it was one bedroom with a den or living area but was actually one room. Not real appropriate staying with your son. We made do had a great time regardless. Loved the bread and eggs

Older place. Limited in wifi. Difficult bathroom with deep tub to step over and into. (Not a good place for elderly or folks with mobility issues). Toilet in very contained space so not good for larger folks. Learned to not stay in place with owners in premises. Didnt feel private enough.

Amazing spot with many homey touches. Owners were so friendly. Comfortable with amazing views all around. The eggs and bread were so good, we took 4 dozen with us!!! Will stay here when in the are again!!!

This is either our third or fourth time staying at their cottage. We wouldn't stay anywhere else while visiting Shenandoah National Park.

The cottage and surrounding area was very comfortable and welcoming. Everything was clean and ready for our arrival. The hosts are gracious and kind, easily reachable if needed, as they live on the property. We brought our dog and she was able to play with the owners friendly dogs on their land. The hot tub was a nice perk after hiking. We forgot to ask/mention it to the owners but the VRBO lists laundry as an amenity and it was not included in the cabin. The land has interesting civil war history tied to it, which was neat to hear.

The location was very clean and peaceful. The property management were very responsive.

This cottage was perfect for our 5 year anniversary get away. It’s close enough to attractions and shops/restaurants/breweries if you want to explore. It is also nestled just outside (2 min drive) of all of this to allow for a beautiful secluded stay. My husband and I enjoyed all had to offer. The fresh eggs and bread (dairy free bc I can’t have dairy) were a special touch. We would return! Edgar and Elizabeth were wonderful hosts. I even took home fresh eggs for the week.

Check in was simple and kitchen had everything that was needed plus some extra home cooked goodies.

Very peaceful place only 2.5 miles from Luray. Everything you need to cook a meal, a very comfortable bed, and a great view. I will most likely stay here again when I travel this way in the future.

This was such a lovely little cottage! We enjoyed the mountain views and beautiful horse in the pasture directly behind us. The dogs greeted us outside each day and were so sweet

Loved seeing it was professionally cleaned prior to our visit. Cute, clean, comfy, and reliable central air. Hot tub was lovely, and had shelter above it which was great since it was raining. The tin roof on the cottage was cool to hear during the rainstorm. Friendly animals too!

The Cottage at Ravens Roost was a wonderful venue for us to rest as we explored the Shenandoah Valley. The dogs on the property were so friendly and adorable! We loved watching the horses in the mornings. Not to mention the farm fresh eggs and the raspberry lemon bread that we were surprised with when we arrived! Excellent hosts, excellent stay. Thank you both!!!

We had a wonderful time staying here. Every morning was amazing with the sun rises, the space was cozy and comfy. We fully enjoyed ourselves.

Perfect place to relax and unwind after spending the day hiking at Shenandoah. Hot tub was a great amenity. Cottage was clean and well stocked. Owners are very nice.

We were in town to visit with our son and do some sight seeing. We loved the cottage. It was the perfect size for us and even had a small kitchen available. We only cooked breakfast a few times, with the farm fresh eggs that were given to us along with a small loaf of blueberry bread. After hiking in the Shenandoah park, the hot tub and fire pit were a welcome relief! We will definitely keep the Ravens Roost on our list for a revisit!

After seeing the 10 out of 10 reviews we were a bit skeptical, as some things aren’t always as good as they seem! Well spoiler alert, it was in fact a 10 out of 10! We typically never go to places where the host are on property or you even meet them so we weren’t sure what to expect. Felt more like family we never met than random strangers. Although we only stayed a couple nights they were extremely nice and hospitable. The little cottage was absolutely adorable, beautifully decorated, and simply put, very comfortable. Highly recommend!

It was perfect for us!

The little blue cottage is so cute sitting alongside the big red brick house. We were in the area to participate in an event. We found this location to be perfectly situated near the event as well as to Shenandoah National Park. The host/hostess made us feel like they really enjoy having guests. We need to come back for the Caverns and fall leaves.

Absolutely loved the place… very peaceful, the owners were so kind they had left us a fresh blackberry cake and fresh eggs in the cottage. 10/10 recommended

Propery was very nice and clean. It did not include firepit like listed but besides that it was great

Convenient location, beautiful panoramic view of mountains in background and horse pasture. Instructions for finding property and parking were clear. Loved the blackberry/rasberry bread and fresh eggs. This is a farm so in accord with title there will be a few pests to deal with, a fly or two, some gnats and a few cobwebs above. This is a pet friendly property, non dog owners will notice the dog smell throughout. I just kept spraying air freshener. I could smell dampness from cellar upon first time entering, then I didnt smell it. The bathtub was a bit difficult to climb out of (grab bar would be nice) and toilet room was tight quarters but nicely decorated bathroom overall. Towels were soft and thick. Bed was very comfortable. Kitchen was well appointed, just a bit tight on counter space. Check dates on staples/hot cocoa. Fridge needs new door seal.There was an eating area I was not aware of originally but was nice to find upon arrival. Owners were nice to chat with. I would come back.
