A Idyllic Cotswold stone cottage set within beautiful gardens, perfect for a peaceful countryside escape for two. Located in the charming village of Stonesfield in the Cotswolds, Masons Cottage is ideally placed for exploring Blenheim Palace, Oxford and Cotswold villages. Inside you’ll find thoughtful details including Daylesford tableware, exceptional bedding, fast Wi-Fi, a hidden gems guest guide, freshly picked flowers and seasonal produce from the garden when available.

Thisself-contained cottage offers a peaceful setting for couples or friends looking to slow down and enjoy the beauty of the English countryside.
Built from traditional Cotswold stone in the 1800s, the cottage overlooks a remarkable garden created by an Oxford University tree specialist, home to many rare and unusual trees. With 1.5 acres to explore, guests can wander through the
gardens and discover the many unusual and beautiful trees.

Beyond the garden lies a Site of Special Scientific Interest where orchids bloom in spring and early summer. Guests are welcome to walk through the area when grazing permits.

Inside, the cottage blends heritage character with modern comfort. The accommodation includes a spacious en suite bedroom, an elegant sitting room,
and a fully equipped kitchen featuring a Neff oven, dishwasher, washer-dryer, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, GRIND coffee machine, and BOSE Bluetooth speaker, along with beautiful Daylesford tableware for relaxed countryside
dining.

Natural stone and parquet flooring, organic cotton bedding, a Herdysleep mattress and wool duvets from Devon Duvet ensure exceptional comfort. Local artwork and pottery reflect the cottage’s Cotswold setting, while Bramley toiletries are provided in
the bathroom.

Seasonal cut flowers from the garden’s cut-flower beds are placed in the cottage for guests to enjoy, bringing a little of the surrounding garden indoors. When available, seasonal produce from the garden may also be available to purchase during your
stay.

Guests will also find a curated guide in the cottage highlighting some of the owners’ favourite hidden gems across Oxford and the wider Cotswolds — from lesser-known walks and historic sites to excellent pubs and local spots worth discovering.
A welcome pack awaits on arrival, including fresh milk, eggs and honey from the garden apiary.

Private parking is available for two cars on a shared driveway with the owner who lives in the main house next door. Two friendly dogs live in the main house and may come to say hello.

The cottage also offers fast broadband, making it easy to stay connected while enjoying a countryside escape.

EV charging is available via standard sockets (adapter required, £20 fee for up to 3 nights). The White Horse pub, a community-run village pub serving local craft beer

Sympathetically renovated and nicely furnished - this cottage feels comfortably snug downstairs and spacious upstairs. The kitchen is well equipped. Clearly a lot of thought has gone into making guests’ stay as easy and straightforward as possible. We really enjoyed our stay. We slept well, enjoyed our ambles around the village as well as longer walks in the wider countryside. No hesitation in recommending to other couples and would definitely return.

Unfortunately too brief. We had fresh eggs left by the darling hens wandering the property. The linens were divine and our hosts were lovely. Everyone we met walking the lanes were so kind. Whitney was a surprising delight.
