We truly enjoyed our stay at Ludo's cottage. It was nestled in the most beautiful landscape. It's easy to travel from and to. The cabin was super clean and mindfully equipped. It's so peaceful and beautiful. We loved the daily visits from the sweet sheep. Ludo is very helpful and always responded in a timely way. We highly recommend Ludo's cottage and hope to visit again some day!

Our family loved every minute of our time at the cottage. We stayed at 6 different places during our trip, but the cottage was by far our favorite place. The cabin is simple, but modern. We had a beautiful view of waterfalls, green pastures and sheep out of every window. So peaceful. We hope to stay there again some day.

Location was amazing!! Property was nice - nothing fancy but it didn't inhibit our experience at all. I would have loved a chair or two on the deck and there was an old unplugged refrigerator on the porch which was a little icky/smelly so we didn't use the porch at all. I would recommend the place if you are not looking for frills but want a GREAT location.

We were four adults (two couples) staying four nights at this lovely cottage. The recently renovated space was spotless, everything worked great, and even the sofa bed was comfortable! The location is convenient, the views stunning, and the owner was extremely kind and helpful. We loved every minute we spent here, and would highly recommend it.

We loved our 3 night stay in the Storidalur cabin. It was just right for my husband, adult daughter and myself. It was incredibly windy during our stay, but the study little cabin kept us warm. Would love to come back again in the summer months to hike the hill behind the house (too crazy windy to do so during our stay). Quick, easy drive to the ferry to Heimaey Island. Easy trip to Vik and all the sights of the Southern Coast. We had a memorable stop at Seljalandsfoss on our way back to the cabin late one night (minutes away). It was pouring rain and pitch dark but there were floodlights on the falls so, we decided to stop. A very cool experience to be there alone in the dark!

This was a wonderful place to stay, clean and accommodating, vista location. I have left at least one or two reviews but have gotten multiple requests from the management company, not VRBO, for additional reviews. This is irritating.

I cannot describe how happy we were in this house. It was the 3rd night of our ring road journey (14 days) and it was the first place we stayed outside of Rekjavik. It was easy to find with the hosts instructions and the closer we got the more amazed I was with this location. Close to amazing waterfalls, E15 volcano glaciers, and it was in the middle of nowhere which is what we all really needed. I felt like I was in Patagonia, Chile. I wish we could of stayed here for a week. It fit us all in well even though we have two teens (12 and 17). Kitchen was well stocked and we hiked the entire hill behind the house and my best photos are from this house and our hikes. I will go back to Iceland just to stay in this place!!! It was super clean. The only downside was the kids didn't know how to use the shower well so the floor got really wet. But, I think the drain was somewhat clogged. Anyway, if you come to Iceland, you MUST stay here. Spend more than one night if you do. I didn't want to leave. The church there is beautiful and its so quiet and peaceful. Thanks for a great stay!!!

If I could give Ludo and his property six stars, I would! The cottage is spacious, clean and comes with a wonderful well equipped kitchen plus barbecue on the patio which we used almost nightly. The location is amazing, set among beautiful green pastures & giving you easy access to all of the south coast adventures. But best of all, is Ludo himself! During our stay my memory card crashed and Ludo went out of his way to get me another one while he was in Reykjavík. Totally saved the day! That was completely above & beyond and just shows you he kind of person he is. Hands down, if we return to Iceland we’ll return to this charming cottage.
